2018 Havoc Mod Review after Paiute Trail trip

- I got a few questions about some of the mods that I made on my 2018 Textron Havoc. Just finished a trip to Utah for the Paiute Trail June 20-24 2019. We covered 350+ mi’s and no issues.

I built a very similar rack on mine. I used mating square tubing so I can remove it all except the base plate. I didn't know about removing the screws and side panel to access the inside so it was a bitch with extensions to get in but I have 7 bolts holding it on. I also built a Kayak rack extension that goes into the receiver hitch and comes up to a T bar. I run ratchet straps on each side from the top front of the rack down to the frame to pull the box downward onto the frame to help eliminate any torque on the plastic box. The majority of weight and movement is on the T-bar and the Kayaks can pivot on the front rack bar. So far its working pretty well. I went up a very rough trail to a mountain lake a few weeks ago and all stayed put. Its pretty fun custom building your own accessories especially when anything you want to buy costs a fortune. You can't buy a kayak rack I don't think. I definitely liked the look of the seats/belts you installed.

LOL...Love it. Thanks man. Good looking out and eye for detail.. I was a Tow Gunner in D2/505 for a while and had to make sure the damn HMMWV didn't role away. THe breaks never worked along with half of everything else....
Do you have a Havoc or just passing by?

Love my Stampede X it's a workhorse that's easy on the lawn but can rip it in the woods etc.

Held up great. I had a little over 1500mi when I sold it. No issues!!

@@80DeuceAdventures maybe you can ask the FB group..I have ran into a pair of zero mile itp cryptids on can am beadlock rims. Was told they are the same lug pattern. The fronts are 30x9 and the rear are 30x11..I have adjusted preload and have 13" in the front and 14". Think they will work without issue?
I may be tight.....I know 30x10 blackwaters work just fine.

Just following up how many miles do you have on it now and how do you like it? Can it beat a General?
I actully sold it and ended up with a Kawi KRX. I do miss my Havoc. Hard to say about the general. I will say the fit and finish is great on the General, however I really like my Havoc.

I bought them at Burts Mega Mall. In West Covina CA. Not sure if they are name brand, I believe its their private label.
Where did you get your emergency brake kit?
Quick question on the Havoc. I have read a lot on the Havoc and most reviews say that the ergonomics are not very good. I can’t find anyone close that has any in stock for me to test drive or check out. Any input on how comfortable a 6’3”, 220+ fella would fit in one of these buggies?
You may be a bit tight. The stock seats SUCK. I added BRP type seats and made a big difference. I’m 5’11” and not sure how I would feel at 6’2”.
I may look elsewhere. Sorry, they really are great machines.
80 Deuce Adventures thanks for the info. Really do like them but you answered my biggest question. Have you tried or know of anyone who tried the newer bench seats in the 2019 or 2020?

johnboy3100 no unfortunately I never recorded them. I just recently sold my Havoc as well sorry.
does your havoc have engine breaking?
michael mills the same as the stampede but not geared as low.
