  • Hello every one, here is the video of the knee exercises I've been doing since I postponed my knee surgery in August 2020. The specialist told me that the surgery can be postponed, but I have to take the knee exercises seriously to strengthen the muscles around the knee area. I had the Hyaluronic Acid Injection in January 2021, and so far, this has really helped me a lot when it comes to pain. I've been playing a lot of beach volleyball lately, and I'm surprised how my left knee can handle the impact of my jumps.
    Please consult a physiotherapist before you do any knee exercises. These exercises work for me, but each case is different, so always consult a specialist to avoid injuring your knee further.

      @@sasha.g7115 At the moment, I'm okay. But I must admit, the last time I played beach volleyball last May, I felt the knee pain coming back slowly. Perhaps it's because the effect of the knee injection I did the previous year in January is wearing off already. I will probably get another shot very soon. But going up and down the stairs, I don't feel that pain yet.

    Hi, have you got crepitus and felt grinding at the patellar? Would like to know whether the crepitus and grinding gone after the Infiltration. Also do you think the knee exercises help?

    • @renkunvlogs
      @renkunvlogs  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      So sorry, I missed replying to your comment. Before the knee infiltration, the only pain I felt was when I went up and down the stairs and when I tried to play beach volleyball, it was excruciating to jump. Apart from that, I could walk and run without any pain. So I definitely think the knee exercises are working for me. Especially with my sports, strengthening the muscles around the knee helps me support the intense movements I do on the sand. after the knee infiltration, I feel zero pain. I was even surprised when I could bend while balancing on my left knee alone the next day!

      Actually visited different physiotherapists in the last few years. They gave me different exercises and advice for my knee. The last one said, "You can do these exercises as long as you don't feel any pain. Once you feel any pain, stop and don't do it again." I've been back playing beach volleyball and jumping like a kangaroo on the sand, this can potentially worsen my knee problem, but you know what? I choose to enjoy my life playing my favorite sport, and the last few years of my knee can endure doing it. As long as you know your action's consequences, so be it.

      Hello! depends on what kind of procedure. In my case, they wanted to drill some holes in my bone to stimulate cartilage growth. It's called "Micro Fracture Drilling," but after talking to a few people who have undergone this type of surgery, including my Beach VolleyBall trainer, he advised me not to do it. Also, the last traumatologist I visited a month ago said he doesn't recommend the surgery. So, for now, I will just continue with Hyaluronic Acid Injection. I will probably get my second shot in 2 weeks. But note that I constantly do knee exercises to strengthen the muscles.

      Hi Abdul, what exactly do you have? I suggest you seek professional medical advice from a knee specialist. I was supposed to undergo a knee surgery called "Microfracture Drilling," but I canceled it because the specialist said I may not be able to play my sport again after the surgery. However, I was not ready to give up playing my sport, so I opted for a more conservative type of knee infiltration treatment. I had my first Hyaluronic acid injection in January 2020, and it's still working for me. I can play, and I rarely feel any pain in my knee. It's a temporary solution, so perhaps you can try it.
