hi there, how to take out camshaft gear on f56 do i just turn the nut holding the camshaft or i have to remove anything from gear because it has a button and a retainer
I have a question, I know there's certain steps to do in a certain order for the timing chain procedure. I put the crank bolt in and tightened it with the pin in. I did not have the cams on at that time. I put them in afterward and have the cam locks on now before I torque the tensioner and Vanos sprockets. Is this order of operation acceptable or did I screw up by not having the cams and locks on while torquing the crank bolt? I would just take the bolt out and go in proper order but I know you can't use that bolt twice.
Curious to know what jack point you use one the 2nd gen minis. I have a R60 and it has a pinch weld that the manual says to use. But there is another oblong cutout next to the pinch weld that looks like some of the other BMW plastic mount points. Is it safe to use a floor jack on that point? I always feel cautious when using jack stands on flat surfaces. I have the classic jack stand design with the claw type head on it.
Where it’s your location I have country man S All4 2013 I have been to two mechanics and they do not want to work. I get a 2DA2 code. I bought the complete timing kit and the two exaut Intec solenoid vanos

1,2,3 firing but 4 is oily i changed spark plugs , swap the ignition coil packs, check injectors,
