hi mark, steve here, we met in morrisons earlier, .. just watched your video of your van build, incredible, one of the best i’ve seen, you have some serious skills.. good meeting you, good luck.
Hello Mate, I'm the chap who just saw you in Wickes car park. Thought I'd let you know, in case you wondering why some fruit cake is waving at you. Best of luck. Van looks great. I'm in the process of doing my vito, so all the vids help x
Hi I have just started to watch your great videos. Regarding the Sprinter. Did you find your x DPD a good vehicle to buy. Has there been any problems with engine etc. I am looking to start a build etc my self and am doing home work on what vehicle to have. Many thanks for your time. Keep up the great videos. Gary
@vanlifeeats just came across your channel 5k all in? Would you do a cost breakdown video been thinking about doing this myself but don't know where to start I can't even hand a picture frame haha 😅
Thank you. It was frustrating running out of funds at times so yes I agree the order was a bit all over the place. All a learning curve too. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
I thought that at first with the roof vent but it made sense by the end to be fair :) Just cut it all, saved measuring the ceiling to fit :) Enjoyed that part of the video with the Cool music and the satisfied look once he'd finished his job. Thx for a cool vid, love all these great ideas. Abandoning the toilet room which people seem complused to do install is definitely worth contemplating and i'm doing that right now lol :)
I've seen so many of these types of videos now and one massive problem with them, they always do all that rust proofing on the inside of the van... Rust can start on the outside and migrate inside. Always rust proof the bottom of your van as well.
Pressurised filtered water? Looks expensive and unnecessary. I have tablets to clean my water. The pumps go into the bottle and do a great job. As for hot water? I simply boil a kettle. For a shower, at the moment I use facilities at campsites. My water bottles are two big ones at the back. Flushing toilet with large capacity cistern. Sink at front has two smaller but suitable size water bottles. The less strain on my leisure batteries the better I say.
Always good to save power where you can. We dont often use the hot water as there is usually some kettle water left after a morning coffee. The filter is great though! Cheap and makes a big difference to the taste of the water.
Rockwool is better for sound yahts what he said he wanted it for I'm an audio engineer that's what all the best music studios are built with rockwool absorbs the most sound great for acoustics that's what I heard him say he was going for sound rather than heat so great choice 😊
@@PadraigCrane-s4l Hello, I know it does work well for sound, but in a campervan the issue of sound seems (for me that is) of lesser interest then using a material which handles moister far better. Hope for the owners of that VAN the rockwool doesn't catch the moister as a sponge, and with that moister rust on the inside....
Nice video 🙂 just about to go and check out the ambulance build as I've just brought an ambulance to convert 👍
Awesome! We miss our Florence. Good luck with your conversion.

Great video mate! 👏😎🚐
Wwoooooooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwww ........................ lots of love fron India.
Thank you! :)
I got my skylight from Houdini they do boat windows but can adapt them for your need
Thank you for recommending. We still haven't found one. I'll check out Houdini
This is awesome. 🎉
Those tyres will kill your PG's. 😮
True, but we are always off road and they help prevent us getting stuck in a very british wet field.
What about running the cables for the lighting and plug sockets etc?
One thing about Rockwool. (I used it in my music studio) mate the smell doesn't go.
Do you have it exposed in your studio? We don't have a smell from it in the van.
@vanlifeeats no it's wrapped in a fabric frame. If you do not smell it. Then that's ideal.

Looking g good. Where did you get bamboo worktop from
Thank you 😊. We got the bamboo worktop from Custom Fronts on the south coast. customfronts.co.uk
Lovely build. Can i ask why you sold Flo? That van seemed much more room inside and taller head height?
Khan! The extension of the ULEZ forced us to sell Flo 😢
Turned out loverly, see you next month.
Thanks. Forever changing but we love the space right now. See you at Vanlife Eats 24 very soon!
Cracking build not being cheeky but how much did it cost and do u have any problems getting inchurance
Thanks, the build cost around £5k to start with but we are forever adding and changing things. No insurance issues, we use Adrian Flux.

Recycled plastic bottle insulation roll instead of Rockwool. Youll have a rust bucket van in 5yrs time! Other than that, mega job!
Great tip!
Bit of a strange order of doing some things but good job.

Very true! We used Waxoyl on the underside of the van.
Do u mind if I ask where to get van from and how much is far for a van and how much to complete build if I at ask thank u
I need to do a full breakdown but roughly the van was £10k and the build was £6k
hope you didnt put rockwool in there. It will get wet. the plastic reccyled stuff is better.
Looks like you were in a bake potato.
*baked
wha?
Ha!! yeah it was verty cyber at that point!
Buying a Mercedes Benz van sounds good, BUT....... the cost of parts is horrendous. A much cheaper option is Ford, Vauxhall, or Nissan.
