I have watched you your build and progress, well done and congratulations to you both, hope you both have many adventures, not just driving through the counties, stop and sleep over like you said, looking forward to seeing your amazing adventures......
The leak was a gap in the external lights. We used some sealant to make sure water couldn't get in. The back door area was really bad for water ingress so worth check all of the fixtures and fittings to see if water comes in before lining out.
I wish I’d have filmed as much as you did 😊 I love seeing these start to finish videos! What thickness ply did you use for the walls btw? It looked about 9mm to me, maybe 12mm with 3 of you lifting it in..? I think that could have been your weight problem if all walls are like that? Can’t wait to see you out in her 👍🏼👍🏼 I only ask because I’m concerned about weight myself 80% finished build
Thank you 😊 We did 12mm on one side as we'd originally planned overhead cupboards but once we got the other storage in, we realised we didn't want them. The other side was 6mm.
Hi friends, nice build! Lovely. Did you get the van from teesside? It looked like Middlesbrough or redcar but the thumbnail near casstleton, duck Bridge. Idk. If I may, the reason the sink bubbles is because the hole on the vertical back side is supposed to deal with air dispersal and overflow :) just add a junction and link the drain to ot if you wondered/would like to change that. You made the windows look easy for sure, how long did it take? I hope yall are having fun
No we got the van in Northamptonshire. That photo is from a trip in Warwickshire. We managed to sort the water drainage. The windows took us a couple of full days but we got quicker after the first one. Practice definitely helps!
@pitched_up_wanderers Thanks, idk why my head was stuck on that. I had a crying dog my end too, didn't heat about leaks in the window I thought that was the roof fan and such. But I'm glad you got the hang of that, I have no experience converting yet. Full respect for cutting holes in the roof and sides it must be scary..what failed with the windows? You pushed it right through made/added a gasket and it all aligned:s

Thanks so much!
Great to watch what you did . Please tell me where you got the rear windows on your barn doors and what size are they ? Thankyou
Thank you 😊 The windows are from Cheshire Vehicle Windows. They are about 450mm x 380mm from memory.
Great video, thanks for sharing.
Would be grateful if you could let us know what caused the leak and how you resolved the issue., thanks in advance.

Wondered if you screwed or glued the battens onto the floor? First time building so genuine question
We used Cixaflex to stick the battens down. Good luck with the build. It is a real roller coaster of emotions. Let us know how you go.

The windows were fine. It was the vans' rear upper brake light that was leaking. A good squirt of cicaflex fixed it!
@@pitched_up_wanderers oh I thought so, I only remembered that light being fixed haha. I'll bare cicaflex in mind, thanks again :)
à vérifier s'il y a les aérations hautes et basses indispensables avec cette isolation de malade !
We have good ventilation throughout and when we're in the van, we always have the fan on or a window open.
Hiya Looks like you had a lovely time at Shottisham! Did you go to any other pubs in the area? Gra x
Hi Gra! It was great! We didn't this time. Have you got any to recommend for next time? X
