Yeah, admech(plus some knight support) is the perfect place for all the weird machines I want to create, but they are very heavy on the bits needed. To start off I bought a few second hand collections of unused bits on ebay, as well as keeping an eye out for deals, and it does get better over time, as the more you convert/build stuff differently the more bits you have leftover from kits
I follow some great kitbash/modelling/painting channels and artist for years, like Squidmar, TableTop Time, Midwinter Minis, Eons Of Battle, Pete the Wargamer just to name a few and dear Sir: I am very glad I found your channel as well. Your work is top notch, easily on par with the ones that I mentioned. Keep it up! Instant subscribe for me and I am sure as hell I will binge watch your previous older videos right away 😄
I'd been dabbling with converting admech until I saw your titanfall video then I really got into it. Smashing admech with necron leg parts is where I got started. I built a manipulus tech priest using legs taken from a canoptek reanimator. I'll be drawing inspiration from your titanfall model to build a customized Thanatar. The key parts being a cheap pile of knight questoris pieces that I picked up and a canoptek doomstalker cannon that I'll be cutting off. I'd also come across some penitent engine kits for cheap which I wanted to use dimwit but had yet to get the right inspiration so this was perfect timing
Good to hear, sounds like you've got some great conversions planned yourself. I've always wanted to do a multi-crawler leg type manipulus myself, and I also have plans for another titanfall style mech with a mechanicum automata. Best of luck with your own building
Thanks, always nice to hear I've helped others get building themselves. Something that helped me early on, is using every build as a chance to try something new, before you know it you'll have a load of techniques under your belt so you're well prepared for almost any build idea. Also bits, having a big pile of spare bits will always help
Thanks, I may sprinkle in some more of my forgeworlds lore in future videos, it's a fun back and forth, having lore inspire build details, or inversely come up with lore explanations for certain conversions
thanks for the video, really cool and inspiring ! I want to make a cool big technpriest for leading my army too, I hope a don't have to buy a basilarius cawl for that... but cool tech-axes are not easy to find ^^' I think of maybe sculpting one myself but that would be a lot of work... maybe i'll do it anyway. I will certainly make other technpriest befor that, thanks to all the cool minis you show us :)
My bad, I knew he was high up, and just kind of assumed he was the fabricator general since we see a lot of Cawl, but don't really see any higher ranking admech members above him
I have been toying with a Dunecrawler kitbash with the inspiration of the Wolf from Generation zero. The tracked walker being able to transform transportation modes is very cool. I am just not sure how to achieve that
Thats a cool looking thing to take inspiration from, one of the main things I'd say you need are some kataphrons since they'd be a good source for the smaller tank treads, plus that kit is full of handy bits for detailing with
@@DumbRobotStuff Yeh. trying to attatch them in a convincing way, whilst also keeping it within the base as well is a bit of a challenge. Not to sure how I would go about doing that
My bad, I just kind of assumed so since he's the highest ranking admech member we regularly hear of. Evidently I need to brush up a bit more on the lore (and also GW needs to flesh out more tech priests, I think Cawl might still be the only named admech model)
Gorgeous models, and well-painted! Did you intend for the grey of the robes to sort of meld, visually, into the bare steel colour? Playing into that AdMech fusion of mechanical and biological?
Not initially, but it is a very nice side effect that you've described very well. The scheme started as just an idea for a grey and orange I took from gunbuster, a favourite anime mecha of mine, that I tweaked bit by bit over time. It's kind of intentional now as the greys and metal are kind of "boring" so they blend well and allow me to draw attention to details I like with the orange and copper.
That big tech-priest looks like he's almost... erupting from the machine, with guts of wire and cable spewing. Hardcore.
That big boy is awesome and deserves a video all on his own.
kitbashing for Admech always looks really cool but I can't imagine the amount of kits needed to get there wouldn't hurt my soul in the process

Love how the Crisis Gal turned out
One of my favorite 40k hobby channels, keep up the good work! ^^
Thanks, will do!
YOOOOO I love that DOOM/Mechanicus album by Throne, excellent music choice 👍
Yeah, the whole album is great, and Throne themselves very kindly gave me their ok to use it in my videos
this is awesome. glad you did more Techie Priests

Thanks, I'm honoured to be compared to those other great kitbashers/painters, hope you enjoy the rest of my videos too
Inspired several of my own tech priest conversions, love your work!
Thanks, always nice to hear I've had some part in helping to get more cool models made
I am sure you are a techpriest behind that camera
🙏⚙️💀
Dude, these guys are killer!

Really cool stuff, gonna re-watch it a few times
ONNISSIAH BE PRAISED
🙏⚙️💀
I always love your work. Keep up the great work!
This is amazing! You have a real knack for this kind of work. Keep it up!
ur content is so inspiring for my own attempts at builds, I hope to be as good as you one day :)

i really like the editing in this one, and the lore for all the servo skulls is awesome; makes me curious on more aspects of this forgeworld’s lore
Thanks, I may sprinkle in some more of my forgeworlds lore in future videos, it's a fun back and forth, having lore inspire build details, or inversely come up with lore explanations for certain conversions
incredibly sick
The Mech-priest
Dude, your admech army is so gooood!!!
thanks for the video, really cool and inspiring !

Beautiful scheme! Thanks for sharing
The horus heresy thunder Hammer would be roughly more scale appropriate
By the way Cawl is not the fabricator of mars he’s one of the Arch memos Dominus which is just under the fabricator
My bad, I knew he was high up, and just kind of assumed he was the fabricator general since we see a lot of Cawl, but don't really see any higher ranking admech members above him
Smaller hammer from the Necromunda Orlock arms master kit
I love 'em all 😀

Whoa! Have been talking to the cawl inferior?
He's not fabricator general!
😉

I was here before you blew up
Thanks for sticking around
I have a good one I was thinking of BT titan fused with the legion
Cool
