      This should be a series.

Though im afraid things like these further breed tribe mentality instead of patriotism

Aap logo ka hero bin kasim hai toh aur kuch expect bhi kya kar sakte hai. Tabhi toh itni buddhist majority thi ki aaj ek buddhist nahi hai sindh me par hindu aaj bhi hai, isse hi pata chalta hai ki majority kaun tha aur ya toh wo so called buddhist majority coward thi jo ki sab ke sab aaj muslim ban gaye aur sabse badi baat ye hai ki hume history me dahir ke bare me toh kuch bhi nahi padaya jata balki humne toh naam bhi nahi suna tha wo toh jab se social media aaya tab yehi pe dekh ke pata chala. Because they are not at all connected to the ruling class of sindh they are silk road merchants who were staying in sindh urban centers they are not rural sindhi having roots in the land. Raja dahir was not from there community he was from puskarna Brahman community whose father usurped the throne from rajput or rai dynasty they were jaams the rai dynasty people. Sindh is much more then these so called migrant sindhis represents. Sindh have all four varna Hindu system and it's strange these migrant sindhis they don't count themselves in that four varna system. They have separate worship system too .raja dahir son of a great sinner chach I agree. People of these community puskarna Brahman or moyal Brahman are still living in West rajasthan, sindh, and punjab.. Sunil dutt he was one example from this community

Bharat? Where was it? History records ancient Tamil country of the Chéra, Chozha and Pandya kingdoms in ancient Dravidian India, whose trade and naval conquests covered most of the countries in the Southern hemisphere, whose pyramid temples spread across the Chozha Tamil Empire stand as a witness to their unique architecture and culture.Vasco da Gama sailed to the Malabar country, as Cochin rivalled Lisbon as the world's trading centres, not to Bharat! A host of travellers from the West, the Middle East, China and the Far East have left historical records of what they saw and heard as they travelled through the Magda country, Mysore country,Malabar country and Travancore country: Funny no one ever travelled in Bharat, the country to be found only in fiction, myth and Purana.François Bernier, French physician who travelled in Mughal India, actually witnessed forced widow-burning by Brahmin priests in Lahore and Surat and shocked at the horror wished he had power to slaughter the devilish Brahmin priests for the ghastly crime against helpless widows. How come there is not a single historical record of any settlement in the vicinity of the Indus Valley? Perhaps Scythian settlement of the nomadic pastoral tribes from the Steppes, the forefathers of Brahmins in India, was the Bharat of the folklore.

Young people know this region is filled with Sindhi's but don't know why they are here or how they ended up in Pimpri, it was a British army camp which was later made into a refugee camp to settle all these people arriving from Sindh.
Now they've transformed this region into a great marketplace filled with businesses where you can find almost everything!
Was happy to read that recently in 2015, finally the state govt decided to provided ownership of the lands where they had settled to them after what like 60 years of settlement?

What I don't like is that some people today, even in my generation, call us refugees. We are no Refugees. We are as much an Indian as you people are.

Sindhis being genetically different from South and East Indians is true. But they're pretty different from Balochi Also. Baloch are either of Arab or Persian (Indo-Iranian) origin whereas Sindhis are predominantly Indo-Aryan, both linguistically and genetically. So they would be much closely related to their fellow Indo-Aryans like Punjabis, Gujaratis, even Kashmiris compared to Baloch or Afghans.

Brilliant! The fabric of our Nation is so beautiful. Inclusive democracy is one of the most beautiful, delicate and hardest things to practice. Supremacy causes the mock crazy.
Would love to hear about the Bohri community. Once again, your work is brilliant, Freishia! 🙂

Congrats for such a wonderful presentation.I agree the Sindhis are a wonderful community. They are enterprising, simple and affectionate people.A suggestion-A special mention should be made by the speakers to narrate the valour of Raja Dahar of Sindh in defending India from the invaders.Thanks.

Why Raja Dahir is always neglected, even by our Indian Sindhi fellows. Moreover, we the Sindhi here in Sindh are always being taught that Qasim was a hero and Dahir was a Predator but our Sindhiat never let us trust the bias syllabus.

I literally have high respect for Sindhis. My maternal home is in Jaipur. The Haveli was big and my Nana's parents had died when he was around 5 years old. His elder brother raised him and both were unaware of the property that actually had and ran out of money. So a lot of room were given on rent to Sindhis coming from Sindh. Each room of the Haveli was occupied by Sindhi families (10+ members even in the smallest room) after 15-20 years they started shifting to their new houses. I don't know who all families lived there but surely they've must have come a long ahead with nothing to almost a prosperous life. Same with the Kashmiri Pandits, Parsis, Jew!!
    Respect you people.

During british rule between 1880s to 1890s , Sir Vaidya from Nagpur was appointed for administration in Sindh and asked to create proper single script for different 12-13 Sindhi dialect. It was for communication and administration purpose.
And inspite of opposition he faced, sir Vaidya took almost 8 years to create proper single scripts for sindhi language and submitted his book to Brithishers.
Later after independence it kept in Karachi college (i don't remember exact name of college).

@aena mustafa Memon is a caste of Sindhi and Kutchi speaking Muslims. You will find Sindhi speaking Memons in Pakistan, whereas Kutchi Memons are mostly settled in Kutch district of Gujarat, most of other districts of Saurashtra, in Ahmedabad and also in Mumbai.
