    Great video! I love Tulum my favourite thing I did while I was there was definitely swimming in the cenotes.

      Yes, we loved the Cenotes, literally the best way to call off in the humidity there! Thanks for the support :)

    The white sand beaches look so beautiful, but the cenotes seem even nicer to me! The water is so clear. The local restaurants and street food look incredible, so much delicious food. Can't argue with $1 tacos!

      @Hungry_Voyager  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The cenotes are pretty special, the fact that you have to cycle through dirt tracks in the jungle without signposts leading the way adds to the beauty when you realize you didn't take a wrong turn and the cenote appears! Thanks for the support :)

    Snorkeling looks cool. The water is clean and clear. The street food looks nice too.

    Last time I visited Mexico I skipped on Tulum and went to Chitchen Itza instead. I've got mixed feelings about this. Heard it suffers under over tourism so I'm glad that I didn't went but still wish I could see it one day. After seeing the beaches I know what I miss the most atm in my life, haha. I've been to Valladolid though and also visited a cenote, which was fun! Great tipps, especially trying the food! I love Mexican food! 😂Thanks for sharing!

      Glad you enjoyed watching! :) Totally understand your point, Tulum is made up of 2 parts, the playa/beach resorts which is one longg road along the beach with tons of bars, hotels, resorts etc, it's ok to visit for some nice food or a drink on the beach but we found it a bit too much which is why we stayed in the other part of Tulum which is Tulum town and is segregated from the Tourist area by a single long road. We would have to agree with you that development of the area is happening too fast but compared to say Cancun it's still holds some of its local charm, we tried to visit local restaurants and shops as much as possible to help fund the locals where possible! Thanks again for the support! :)

    I want to hike the Mayan Ruins! Amazing!

      @Hungry_Voyager  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Chichen Itza is amazing, so well preserved, can get a little busy with tourist though! If that's your thing you should definitely check out Teotihuacan near Mexico City, much much bigger and less saturated with visitors! Thanks for watching :)

    I have yet to go to Tulum, I did Mexico City and Bacalar. It looks so beautiful and the beaches stunning. And I love ruins. One buck for the 3 tacos is so well priced.

      @Hungry_Voyager  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The street food is so good in Mexico! Yes Tulum is lovely we stayed in the town away from the beach resorts. We haven't been the Bacalar, how was it? We are heading back to Mexico in a couple of months so may check it out! Thanks for the support :)

    Tulum is more holistic, eco-chic, more quiet and expensive, with most amazing beaches. Tulum is well famous for its Mayan ruins.

    Wow, the underwater world in Tulum looks so amazing! I was there a few years ago but I didn't get a chance to explore much as I was visiting friends. When I was there the ruins were very overcrowded, same as the beach below. I did love the beach in Tulum in general though, such clean water and amazing color.

    • @Hungry_Voyager
      @Hungry_Voyager  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's true, some of the beaches could get overcrowded at times which is a shame but there's a lot off coastline to explore so always somewhere with a bit of peace :) Thanks for the support!

    I love Tulum! I only had the chance to see the Mayan ruins when I was there just for the day. Brought back many great memories to see them again! I wish that I had the chance to stay longer and explore underwater to see the sea life and go to the cenotes like you recommend. Perhaps on my next trip!! It's also nice to see there's not much seaweed on the beach - it was def an issue the last time we were in Playa del Carmen a few years back.

    • @Hungry_Voyager
      @Hungry_Voyager  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I guess we were either lucky or they have put in better procedures to clear the seaweed, either way it was super beautiful! Thanks for the support :)

    Tulum looks incredible. This is the perfect type of location for me. I would particularly enjoy the diving I think, looks like it offers a wide array of sea life which is awesome. The Mayan ruins must be so fascinating too, are you able to learn much information there about the old Mayan culture?

    • @Hungry_Voyager
      @Hungry_Voyager  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! :) Yes they have loads of tour guides and readable info when you get to the site. Yes the snorkeling was stunning, we were told we may see a passing se turtles but didn't have high hopes so when one went swimming by we were in awe! Thanks for watching :)

    • @Hungry_Voyager

      We went from Mexico City to Cancun then made it to Tulum by coach (the transport links by coach are actually super good and worth doing instead of paying for expensive transfers) Thanks for watching :)

    As cool as a video is... Tulum get's boring real quick after the second day being there. The high prices and tourists traps tarnish the experience. The highlight for me was cenotes, which is a must, everything else you can do without.
