    #AskAbhijit we all hear about how dictatorship is bad. But don't you think to administer a culturally diverse country such as India, a dictatorship such as in China is a better option both economically and militarily?

    • @philipdawes2661
      @philipdawes2661 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      That would depend on 'who' the dictator was (abilities and socio-economic attributes) and what form of 'power inheritance' is in place. The two main advantages that democracy has over any other form of government, is that it enables the ambitious people to achieve power without violence and then not fear a fall from power, enabling a peaceful handover to the next person. China (and currently Russia) have 'competent' dictatorships in place, however....
      When Putin finally goes (dies of old age or 'removed'), there are no known inheritors, so factional infighting and retribution, plus the method of replacement may cause issues as far as the ordinary people are concerned.
      Zhi Jing Ping has recently announced himself president for life, a.k.a 'dictator', but communist china has not known that since Mao, whose grip on power was maintained with an iron fist. Normally they have 'peaceful' transitions, but all rivals of the new incumbent and followers of the old incumbent were subject to vendetta's. What will happen when Zhi moves on, your guess is as good as mine.

      @@philipdawes2661 100 percent agree with you on the point that it depends on the dictator. But the point you make on democracy is kind of an ideal case. For example, we have had democracy in india for 70 years but only one family has ruled India until last decade. So again depends whether it's a democracy or pseudo democracy

      @Rishi123456789 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Dictatorship is NOT inherently bad. I hate democracy. Democracy is the tyranny of the majority. Democracy is a system in which 51% of a population can force its will on the remaining 49% of that population. You see, what's REALLY holding India back is democracy. India should have never become a democracy. In a dictatorship like China, what the government wants the government gets. And that's why China is surging ahead of India in every way. I love India and I am not a fan of China by any means, but China deserves to crush India for being such a corrupt, idiotic, lazy and undisciplined country that STILL arrogantly thinks of itself as somehow being God's gift to the world. India should always be governed by noble dictators.

      @@immigrationcanada1802 People with limited consciousness and intelligence like you are the problem in India, not money or GDP. You will not understand these deep things - like dog only wants bone. Someone has to be really dumb to think that India is poorer than all those tiny countries. You cannot make such shallow judgments about a complex behemoth like India. Are you like in 5th standard? Please don't use internet.

      As long as America remains a more powerful and more prosperous superpower than China, I'm okay with that. India is not even on the radar, India is a joke and I say this as an Indian who loves India.

    India is the oldest known living civilization. It’s the mother culture of everything outside of Africa. Every great empire has tried to conquer it and failed.
    It’s spiritual component in the culture is the reason for its longevity. If you think a better army or better nukes are going to help you, then you’re following the modern western story of competition/conquest and you’re destined to collapse just like every western empire.
    Be true to yourselves and recognize that your gift to the world is your spiritual culture, not your weapons or Bollywood movies.

      Both soft spiritual power and hard millitary power are equally important
      because power respects power .
      This is the land of Shree Ram and Krishna so saying that hard power is wrong because their ideology is perfect example of both hard and soft power
