Ki'rin quadsuit commission

- Although I have worked upon 2 other quadsuits before this, I had never fully made a quad and goodness was this a challenge. Everything seen is hand made by me. It features:
-double jointed front stilts
-silicone hoof 'pads'
-LED resin following eyes
-interchangeable horns: Shown are Grantz Gazelle hand cast resin copies. Not shown are nyala
-Detatchable tail, stilts, and rear feet
-all padding is removeable
-NFT accents (a LOT of it)
-airbrushed accents
This has been by far one of the more challenging costumes I have made I'm a little taller than the commissioner but soooo wanted to see how this looked in action. Completed today.
Please do not ask how this was made as there were countless hours of trial and error. I'm not currently open for commissions. This is one of the better quads Ive seen. Great quality, it doesnt look awkward, excellent job.
this is my favorite quad suit the movement of you legs are so real and it's so realistic
It's honestly just research, practice, and many hours of trial and error. Places such as Livejournal and their fursuit/quadsuit communities as well as other artists upon DA and FA are of great aid. Even tutorials upon TH-cam are of great help.
I still think quadsuits have a way to go before they become 'realistic'; the suit itself is lovely but I never found quadsuits' movement to look natural at all, the front legs are always stiff as boards and the back legs move a little weird. This is wonderfully crafted despite the limitations of the art form :)
i used to look at quadsuits like:OMG THAT LOOKS SO REAL THERE ARE NO FLAWS I BET ID FALL OVER IN THAT!!
Now:On their hind legs, you can somewhat see the human like pose. It looks very easy to walk in

One word to describe this, stunning.
i had to do the same thing with my toothless back legs or the padding would slip right off my foot and look like an odd growth ^^; At least its something that can be easily added
Very nice quadsuit! the proportions and movement are great the only delema i see are the back feet to the ankles need to be attached using sew in snaps or magnets as they don't line up when moving around.
That's fuckin' good. So good. One of the best I've seen, stat. Especially considering it's not equine.
Aww I'm only 12 and I want one. I'm so jelly about the commission and I'm not 18 years old and I want to have one but its so sad cause u have to be 18 years old... I wish u didnt have to do a commission and be 18 years old

Or get a friend to text you randomly each day stating that you are incredibly awesome. This seems random, but I follow you on dA so this has been a while in coming xD Not that you weren't awesome before, it's just that you get awesomer and awesomer each piece you complete, and every new challenge you tackle.

hey Sharp the withe fur where did you find it im looking for long good pure white fur for my suit /the one i have on my suit is lik with shag fur called gorilla and its relay bad i wont us it again.. so i need help finding good soft long fake furs :) so do you think you can help me find better fur? *hugs from Nienna87 on Fa*
I could just imagine some one running them over while their in the road and getting out saying "omgosh I hit some ones dog, I didn't see it! It ran out in front of me!"
So, with quadsuit wearers, is it just all for fun or do some commissioners use the suits for filming? Or for paid entertainment, like part of a show or party?

kirins are actually only supposed to have a single horn because they are a mix between dragon, deer, and unicorn

Looks less like a furry suit and more like some Tokusatsu stuff

I have started on my quadsuit. I’m keeping it on a low budget using wrapping paper tubes, cardboard, and some small nuts and bolts. The articulation is actually pretty great on the feet. I just need to bulk it up with foam and add the feet.
