I'm a big fan of Pfister's games and a playthrough is just what I've been looking for. I still haven't pulled the trigger to buy, but I have a number of recently purchased games that I have to delve into before this one.
I thought your minimal rules explanation and actually play the full all expansions game plays was what was great. 9 out of 10 times the rules unfold perfectly during the game well and one gets it.
Small suggestion- set your f-stop/depth of field to manual instead of auto focus in advance because with your current setup, the camera was fluctuating between focusing on the background and your faces. It should be fairly easy to manually focus since there’s two of you.

It looked like you guys counted the victory points for all of your ship upgrades, but I believe only the highest of each type count.

Hi Anthony and Frances, thank you for another great playthrough. I would like to ask where can I buy those wooden token holders you are using?
They are “Component Collectors” from a company called Dog Might games. These were a gift that started on Kickstarter years ago. I’m not sure if they are still making them, or if they are still working on backer orders (they were reeeaaallly backed up - it took over 2 years to fulfill mine) Nonetheless, they are awesome and if you can get your hands on them I would!

If you play the third scenario does it increase the weight / crunchiness / add more interesting decisions? Do you expect playing through the campaign would have a similar effect? Thanks!
The third scenario adds even more decisions and tiles, and builds on the story. The campaign portion does add a ton of thematic flavor and guides your decisions in the game.

Well, it's actually Reiner Knizia's nextgen Quest for Eldorado.

Is it just me or does the review sounds a bit like you need to apologize for liking this game? Maybe due to the game being inevitably compared to Maracaibo and not having the same level of complexity/grandeur? Not sure, but the buildup for why you think Cloudage is really good made me think that it gets praised the way you would praise a child's picture "right, this is not Michaelangelo, but it's decent enough". Still, great playthrough, worth waiting a couple days for you to get comfortable with the game.
We are just trying to be more transparent with our reviews. We have no shame in liking this game. It’s not as heavy as expected, but fun for us nonetheless. Not an apology in any way.
