Murano was a favorite of ours. Because we visited in February (it snowed and Venice was magical!) my poor husband was freezing the whole week! The only time he warmed up was when we were watching the glass blowing😊 and he was able to stand near the 2400 degrees furnaces!
For the average tourist the adapter is all you need. Your phone and many devices (some with switch like hairdryers) will work on both. Tony has many devices to run which may be different from what you need. Burano is one of my favorites with the colored houses and so many charming places. I hope tomorrow you are going to Venice Proper including St Marks and have a chance to wander around on your own. You will be amazed.
Hi Tony, you really had a good time its very apparent by looking at you, all the times I traveled to Italy I must say I never had a bad meal, keep these fantastic videos coming Brother, God Bless.
Burano is my favourite place in Venice. I always said that when I had a daughter, I wanted one of the beautiful dresses from Burano for her. I haven’t managed to make it back but my parents managed to go and bring one of the dresses back.
Hi Tony. The hotel is beautiful. Perfect breakfast spread. Fun tours. Other than taking the boat you definitely got some step's in. Great day! As always thank you for all you do ❤️
We also started going to Venice in the nineties before the Euro. One of our favorite places. We also was lucky enough to sail out of Venice before their restrictions. Just such a fascinating place. We always took the water buses to the other islands and met lots of locals and school kids
I lived in Italy 3 years. Each region is distinctly different as Italy wasn't United until 1871 under Victor Emmanuel. What you taste in Venice is distinctly different than Naples or Sicily. Enjoy your visit. The best part of Italy are their cappuccinos!
Tony, I have the same travel CPAP and I found a USB power adapter specifically for this model that I use. So I only need a multi-port USB adapter when I travel. With everything I need to charge or power is via USB, it is easier and safer since I don't have to worry about 110 vs 220 volts.
What a nice video, Tony! Those water taxis look like fun! That locked-up garden at your hotel is exquisite! I saw the Murano glass-blowing and the museum-like shop on a 2009 AAA trip to Italy. I don’t remember buying a single thing in Italy! I hope you’re enjoying the evening NCL program.
Thanks so much for sharing that! How awesome. ☺️ Incredible hotel and experiences. We definitely want to go back to Venice as we only had about three hours there, which of course is not nearly enough to take it all in. 😊
It looks amazing, makes me want to get on a plane and see this beautiful city and islands. I would love to travel everywhere by boat, hence my love of cruising :) Thanks for taking us along, love these guided tour videos.
Loved Venice. Didn’t get to the island of Murano but bought Murano glass set at shop in Venice, all we could afford. Very expensive but one of a kind!❤️
Hope you had the chance to get some gelato? I was in Venice in 1978 while in the US Navy. I went back to Italy this past spring and visited other great cities. Hopefully, I will go back.
I’m in Princess Regal tender with Santa clause. Thank you , I remember you got him in a video and I asked him “ do they call you Santa” he showed me his red clothes and back pack with North Pole and clause printed on back . I told him I saw him on you’re you tube channel . Thanks for videos had great time British isles cruise and excursions 👍
All of the AC to USB converters we got with our iPhones and the ones from Amazon are universal voltage and cycles. They work in the Americas and also in Europe. You just need a plug adapter which are cheap. I label all our electrical that are Euro compatible.
I was at the Murano factory in August 1973 . I bought my parents a beautiful cobalt blue wine decanter and 6 glasses. Everything was trimmed in gold leaf with a menorah and Jewish star. I had it shipped to Philadelphia for their anniversary which was on September 15th. The package didn't arrive until late October. Unfortunately, I only have one wine glass left
In the old days being stationed in Germany you needed a transformer to convert 220/240V to 110/120V. I blew a few electronics that way. But now days just about everything is universal to work in every country (110 - 240V). I doubt you could find a major brand product that's not able to convert the current so it's not destroyed. I have never had a problem - even decent extension cords can handle the current from every country.
Didn't you love Murano an Burano? I was there last year while on my first cruise ever on the NCL Gem. I met a lot of nice people from the States on the boatride over there from Venice.
What a Beautiful Hotel Isn't there a song that references the Adriatic? Maybe it was something Bugs Bunny sang or the Three Stooges. lol OMG I went to the website, BAUTIFUL craftsmanship. If only I had the money right now. Burano looked beautiful.
I swear I went to that same glass shop and saw them make that exact same horse, 20 years ago. At the end he just threw the horse right back in the oven.
On our 1st trip to Europe we stupidly bought glassware to the tune of $1200. We’ve hardly ever used any of them. But, lesson learned, the expensive way. I also suspect that is where I contracted food poisoning from lunch. 🤮
Tony, thanks for bringing us along and showing the sites to us. Do they still have the older gondola's that you can still ride on the water ways in down town Venice?
Did you know iPhones and iPads and DUAL voltage devices ...you don't need a converter to covert from 220v to 110v! Just plug them in with the correct voltage plug!
I'm getting so confused by all this converter stuff. My husband went to Slovenia, had just a plug adapter. He has a Samsung, said it charged awesome. Didn't have a razor or laptop, etc. I read you need the converter only for things like hairdryer and razors. I'll be traveling to Barcelona with an iPad and a Samsung. Don't want to fry anything!
The larger ones, such as the three canals (Grand, Canareggio, Giudecca) are, but mostly not. Most of the waterways in Venice are not canals, but are rii (singular is rio). The streets, of course, are named, and you will sometimes see a street called a "rio terà"; these are buried waterways! A fondamenta is a sidewalk along a waterway, a calle is a narrow street between buildings. This is probably more than you wanted to know . . .
Hey Tony - how much did NCL spend on you for the trip? While it's a nice gig it also comes across as an unabashed move to influence the influencers on NCL's behalf.
We were in Venice this past June prior to a Celebrity cruise to Italy and Croatia. We stayed at the hotel Bucintoro and loved it, although not cheap. A good restaurant close to the hotel is La Perla Nuova - wonderful! We took a tour to Murano & Burano and it was great! Enjoy!
People told me Venice was too touristy. Yes, but there is a reason for that. It's beautiful ❤
Murano was a favorite of ours. Because we visited in February (it snowed and Venice was magical!) my poor husband was freezing the whole week! The only time he warmed up was when we were watching the glass blowing😊 and he was able to stand near the 2400 degrees furnaces!
Sounds awesome to me.
I went with my parents to Venice in 1989. My parents have passed on but I still have the glass tea set from Murano. Good memories and a memento.
I love how you take us along and show us everything! Thank you!
What a beautiful hotel! Such beautiful islands too, love the colorful buildings.
Burano lace and Murano glass. My heart be still. ❤
View from that hotel is indeed stunning.

Thanks Tony. What a great excursion.
It was pretty fun!
What a great opportunity to get invited by NCL!
Burano is my favourite place in Venice. I always said that when I had a daughter, I wanted one of the beautiful dresses from Burano for her. I haven’t managed to make it back but my parents managed to go and bring one of the dresses back.

Neat to see all the Schar gluten-free pre-packaged foods.
Happy weekend Tony 🇮🇹 thank you for another great video!!
Absolutely beautiful, thank you Tony 😊
I love these adventures! Keep them coming!!!

I have a beautiful little Murano glass vase I brought back from Italy. Thank you for bring us along on your trip!
I loved Burano and Venice
Thanks so much for sharing that! How awesome. ☺️ Incredible hotel and experiences. We definitely want to go back to Venice as we only had about three hours there, which of course is not nearly enough to take it all in. 😊
A bucket list location for sure!

What an amazing experience !!
I spent $2000.00 on a one of kind glass vase and had it shipped home last year. It is absolutely a beautiful piece of art.😊
We just visited Italy.Hope it wasn't as hot as it was for us.Thanks for your entertaining ideos!❤
The Murano glass is incredible
Great video ❤❤❤❤
Loved Venice. Didn’t get to the island of Murano but bought Murano glass set at shop in Venice, all we could afford. Very expensive but one of a kind!❤️
I will be in Venice in 2weeks! Can’t wait.
Terrific!
Those buildings are very colorful.
So cool, thanks for sharing ❤
Hope you had the chance to get some gelato? I was in Venice in 1978 while in the US Navy. I went back to Italy this past spring and visited other great cities. Hopefully, I will go back.
Venice just hit the bucket list.
Ah, Burano! My favorite in the area!!
Venice is the best, we did about 8 days in Venice around our cruise in 2022. A great place to walk and explore.
They were trying really hard to have ultimate the British breakfast, but I didn't see any beans...LOL
I’m in Princess Regal tender with Santa clause. Thank you , I remember you got him in a video and I asked him “ do they call you Santa” he showed me his red clothes and back pack with North Pole and clause printed on back . Amazing video we cruise the Mediterranean in May 2025 we stay 2 days in Venice at the end of out trip. Very excited

Looks like a good time was had by all
Beautiful place enjoy
This was very cool.
Pretty courtyard
You didn't say that butano is world renowned for it's lace making
I thought the very same thing!

I agree Venice is dang beautiful!
The floors are beautiful at hotel!
Best thing to do in Venice is to get lost. I bought my daughter murano wedding glasses when I was there so beautiful
I love the taste of meats and cheeses in Italy!
Just an FYI: your CPAP is probably dual voltage and you can plug it directly into the adaptor.
In the old days being stationed in Germany you needed a transformer to convert 220/240V to 110/120V. I blew a few electronics that way. Didn't see a LEGO Shop for you! lol
Nope no LEGO
Beautiful
Wow😊
Didn't you love Murano an Burano? I was there last year while on my first cruise ever on the NCL Gem. I met a lot of nice people from the States on the boatride over there from Venice.
What was the name of the hotel?
What hotel are you staying at?
Hey Tony….whats the name of the hotel ?? Would love to stay there next time.
Tony what hotel did you stay invenice
What a Beautiful Hotel
Isn't there a song that references the Adriatic? Maybe it was something Bugs Bunny sang or the Three Stooges. lol

Burano looked beautiful.
Is your byline a pickup line you used on Jenny? LOL Thanks for sharing your adventure.

Did you buy anything from Murano ?
Tony, thanks for bringing us along and showing the sites to us. Do they still have the older gondola's that you can still ride on the water ways in down town Venice?
Yes
You missed your Tony Soprano moment when you could have called the meat "Gabagol" (spelled capicola)
Did you know iPhones and iPads and DUAL voltage devices ...you don't need a converter to covert from 220v to 110v! Just plug them in with the correct voltage plug!

Aren’t most things dual,voltage?

Btw is this for just influencers? Who are the guest of NCL? Thanks for sharing
It was bunch of folks. Content creators, media, business partners.
I was in Venice quite a few years ago when they still had lira for money'
Can you post what anchor power bank you have? I may need one for the future, please and thank you.
☮️☮️☮️☮️
Hey Tony - how much did NCL spend on you for the trip? While it's a nice gig it also comes across as an unabashed move to influence the influencers on NCL's behalf.
Hey Tony, did you find that there were plentiful bathroom facilities along the way of your venture?
Yes
No need for a converter for electronics - phones, computers, etc. An adapter is all you need. Other electrical appliances it is mandatory.
Loved the water taxis when in Venice. I have some Murano glass ornaments.
What hotel did you stay at? We are coming to Venice in 2 weeks for a few days then heading over to NCL for a 10 day Mediterranean cruise
They were put up at the Hotel Excelsior Venice Lido. Very pricey. I have to say that I would not want to stay on the Lido. They have cars there.
Enjoy!
Sorry, the restaurant is La Nuova Perla. I turned the name around in my previous post.
The only problem with these FAM trips now is they are taxable.
Whenever I’m in Italy I have that exact breakfast. But in America I feel like I can’t. Why tho🤔
What hotel did you stay in in Venice?
Hotel Excelsior Venice Lido Resort
