Yes- and the USA loves you! Keep posting- love to meet your daughter in the US. We tuned in for the world cruise but you guys are so much more of an adventure than a cruise will ever be!
@rebeccahowell6538 drink your juice Shelby! I couldn't agree more with the Canadian about the value of having people like Anita in one's presence, but then again some of the abso neatest people I've had the pleasure of knowing, are Canadian!!
I have been following your journey, and you guys have been more than patient. If they are hemorrhaging money, this could mean severe cut backs if you finally sail. If you have an out, I'd seriously consider it. Safe travels home.
Y'all might want to consider packing up anything you want to keep, just in case. Not sure if they have storage units in Belfast, but better to have your belongings off the ship in case they deny access later. I really hope it passes everything and is cleared to sail soon, but I've been following you and others for several months now and it's so close, yet so far away. Sending positive vibes to everyone invested!
No kidding --- why did they sell spaces on an UNTESTED ship?? Did the buyers know sea trials had not been done? I feel so bad for the "Cruisers"..........
@@KLowe-of5yzwell in their defense, I think the ship had to be unexpectedly reclassified, thus necessitating the need to get a new certification and sea trials, but I could be wrong.
I'm just so sorry 😞. Words can't express how devastating this must be for you both. Please take care of yourselves physically and emotionally first. The disappointment must be dreadful. Give your family and friends hugs. Xx
So sorry that you have to endure another delay. We are still going to follow your updates and best of luck with your trip back here to the States and the doctor visit. Hang in There!!! ❤
I have been following your channel for some time and find your deep sense of honesty, clarity and humility so endearing and engaging. As much as I would love to hug you both, as this saga unfolds, I would love to shake you both as well. Please, please, please take your time in the United States to really reassess and re-evaluate the bigger picture here. I would never rain on anyone's parade let alone their dreams or aspirations, and I envy your deep sense of faith and positivity, but just for a few moments between yourselves look at this situation through an outsiders eyes. I know people who are working on Villa Vie and her repairs and believe me even if this ship does eventually sail (which is highly unlikely) it will not be for very long, owing to it's age and structural sensitivity. I truly wish you both all the love, joy and happiness that you both clearly deserve and (please God) you get to live your dreams.
Thank you so much...we truly appreciate it. We actually had a discussion today about the minimum time we need to sail to make us not lose it all....mentally that is.

I came close to buying a cabin but worried about the financial condition of the company. I’m glad I didn’t go through with it, but I’m really rooting for this to be ok for you guys. I’m an independent trader and investor and my economic outlook is not very bullish. I worry about the monthly fees being unsustainable through the next round of money printing that’s highly inflationary. I’d encourage you to meet with your financial advisor and stress test your accounts for higher costs than you currently expect. It’s not iminent, but in the next 24 months food, fuel and labor expenses will likely experience another price shock. I wish you both good luck and I’m rooting for you to be rewarded as pioneers. Just know that this endeavor carries increasing amounts of risk. It’s good for you to draw a line in the sand, so if Villa Vie doesn’t make it, you’ll be ok.

I've read their contract and I want to make sure your blogging doesn't violate their confidentiality agreement. You probably already looked into that but if not, please do so.
When I grabbed my coffee and sat down at my desk, I was so happy to see a post from you and Steve. I was certain it was going to be good news!! I am so sorry there is yet another delay, especially after all the reports of the trials being successful. I so admire your positive attitude through this nightmare of circumstances. I sincerely hope and pray the ship will finally sail sooner rather than later. In the meantime, keep your wonderful, calm, and positive outlook until further notice. I don't believe this was a scam. What do they have to gain? I'm sure they are embarrassed and frustrated, but the ship must be completely safe and seaworthy before they can embark on such a long journey. I will anxiously wait for the good news! Hang in there. Hoping Steve's check-up goes well. Much love!
@@MidLifeCruising95 Interesting, that was ULTRA Controversial on The World; to the point, the Ownership voted a buy out of the remaining residences and outlawed rentals!
Dear Steve and Angela, I’m truly sorry to hear about the latest setback. The change in your expression between the tough news and the rest of the video really said it all. I can only imagine how heartbreaking it must have been to receive that email in the middle of the night, not just for you but for all the residents. I sincerely hope everything comes together for you both and that you get to enjoy your years cruising the world, ticking off all those bucket-list destinations. @@rebeccahowell6538A midnight email, no less. They woke up expecting to walk over to the ship and spend their day there, instead they wake up to an email informing them that they are not welcome (security guarding the ship) and they should fly home (even though no one has access to their own home due to selling/renting)
So sorry for this set back. I hope things work out because I'm really enjoying your videos. Please keep us updated and I'm sending positive vibes that everything works out!!
You are the kindest people and I'm so sorry that you've had so many false starts. By all means- take with you everything that can't be replaced. If something goes awry- you won't have to fly back just to get those items.
I’m so sorry that the delays continue. Number one priority must be getting Steve’s cardiac check up taken care of. Your continued optimism has been inspiring, and I hope so much that you will be back in Belfast soon for sail away. You have so many people rooting for you. Karen in Fort Myers🌴
Your positive attitude is infectious. I'm sorry for the latest update, it is hard to see the disappointment on your faces. The trip to the states will allow the necessary medical checkups and visits with friends and family. I always look forward to your videos. I loved the Capri video, it is such a beautiful place and your video brings back personal memories for me. Travel requires hard work and flexibility. You have both passed that test admirably.
Absolutely devastated for you! A great plan to go back to the US to get Steve's check up done and to reconnect with family and friends. It's not looking great but I sincerely hope you do get to sail away soon. Your updates are always appreciated. Best wishes to you both!
Stay in the US to take care of Steve's pacemaker. I wouldn't fly back to Europe until that ship has actually sailed to its first destination and then meet and board the ship there. You cannot rely on their statements for sailing. It was strange that the sea trials were so brief. Endurance trials take at least 6 hours from what I have read. Best of luck.
That’s a good idea to stay until they sail until the first port and catch up with the ship then you know it’s actually sailing and not another disappointment and not actually sailing will save you money!
Aww, I’m sorry to hear that. It’s crazy that it’s cheaper to fly back and forth to the states than stay in Belfast. I know “things happen”, but housing, feeding and plying everyone with alcohol when the ship was no where near ready was a terrible business decision. I’m still hoping for the best, though, because the alternative is not pretty. Good luck with your pacer tune-up. ❤
Yes- the itinerary included the Caribbean starting in late September- so it will be easy to catch up with the ship in Caribbean. Just wait until it gets going. Plus- Steve might not do well on the transatlantic voyage with sea sickness.
I am so sorry! Hang in there guys. Maybe join when she gets to the Bahamas. I do still have good hope for you but I am so sorry for your continued stress.
Ditto with the praying. You guys are great and so upbeat, I hope things get sorted out soon. You’re all in my prayers. Have a safe trip back to the States and think of it as a positive, you get your doctors appointment and an opportunity to see family and friends xxx
I wish people wouldn’t comment so negatively. Negativity never gets anyone anywhere. It is refreshing to see you guys being patient & believing in the owners. Im sure it is frustrating but this is a brand new thing that nobody has ever completed! There are going to be problems! If it were easy, everybody would be doing it! My husband & I owned a construction business & things constantly got pushed back, out of our hands & it was agony & some of our customers were awful & that alone made me talk my husband into quitting the business. So thank you for having faith in them! If you don’t try then you’ll never know! Safe travels & praying for you guys!
Negativity never gets you anywhere? Critical thinking goes a long way. Blind faith gets you a few hundred grand in the hole and camped out in Belfast for four months
Who camped out in Belfast? We went on 4 major trips and had an adeventurous summer. I get that all you can go on is a few comnents and very inaccurate news reporting.
@@MidLifeCruising95Poor Holly and her cat have been stuck in Belfast, plus the elderly Australian woman who was mentioned in news articles. I'm sure plenty more as well (some with brief detours of VV arranged excursions)
I’m so sorry to hear this news, but will continue to wish you good luck. I’m having dinner this week with my friend Ed who also purchased a cabin so I’m sure I’ll hear more. Hey Angela and Steve, I am very sorry to hear there’s another delay. Continue to keep positive. I’m trusting and believing with you it will be worth the wait!
This is what I was afraid of. Once I heard you and other TH-camrs say that the company was picking up your expenses, I was afraid that it would cause them to declare bankruptcy before the ship could even sail. (They obviously didn't think it would take this long.) I think your decision to go home until you get official word that you can come back (and sleep overnight on the ship) was a good one. You won't be the only one doing that! Good luck!🤞
Oh no! But at least you can your pacemaker check up. It is getting so close now … the anticipation is killing me! Imagine when it does sail off. Will be overjoyed for you both. 😀🇦🇺

I am so sorry to hear all of this. I know this is got to be very difficult to handle with so many months that you’ve been waiting. Praying that you come back to the states get everything situated and by the time you’re done with all your medical etc. you’re able to come back and get on the ship and start your cruise. So sorry to see your spirits dropping with this latest blow. You have both been so positive along the way and all credit to you for that. When you get to the point of it costing you more than you’re comfortable losing, it may be time to draw a line under this adventure. I’m glad to have found your channel and am enjoying your travels anyway!
Friends of mine paid $140,000 for a 105 day world cruise quite a few years ago. Travel is expensive. I have read that VillaVie purchase prices are being held in escrow, the contract must outline when the sponsor has access to those funds. The key here is "cash flow", there should be an owners' committee established at some point to review the financial pro formas to make sure that ongoing operating expenses can be covered. There is a very experienced group of people behind the Odyssey. Lines of credit have been established and staff is in place, both positives.
@@MidLifeCruising95 I just checked out the deck plans and most of the cabins on every deck are reserved, so almost sold out I guess. Hope it all works out!
You two exude a basic goodness that makes me want to be a better person, both to myself and to others. I have been living vicariously through you and other VVR vlog and bloggers, with dreams of adventure and discovery. Life teaches me every day to find that adventure in both the extraordinary and the mundane. I know we learn more through the hard times, but sometimes it seems there is just too much learning going on, especially for good people like you both. I choose to be optimistic for your health issues as well as your journeys. It seems that this is a result of overoptimism by the company, hopefully they can gut it out until she is deemed seaworthy. Be strong, and lean hard in on your faith and each other. May all your worries be small ones!
I was hoping you were just pretending it was bad news and that you had your sail date. Sorry to hear it’s still not ready. I think you’ve all been very patient. Fingers crossed she’s ready to sail soon. ❤️
I'm so sorry this happened to you. You are very gracious in your explanations. But honestly you committed to being guests and it is really the businesses responsibility to swallow the cost of giving you accomodation. You are extremely nice people and im actually very impressed by your support of the company despite glaringly disappointing uncertainty. I'm hoping it all comes together and you end up with the experience of a lifetime where all this is forgotten.
It truly is because we see it all with our own eyes. We see what they go through day in and day out and I know they are doing what they can to get this ship sailing.
Wow. I'm so sorry for you both Been following your story for awhile...praying that this all works out for you both. You both have been so supportive of this company and all the issues you've had. I would have been gone long ago!!! I'm not a trusting person. God Bless you both 😊 Prayers sent.....❤❤❤

Curious if the sea trial reports and inspections are public record or if you have to rely on Villa Vie to give you updates? Just wondering if there are independent (non-filtered) sources that might give you a better idea of how close the ship is to actually being cleared. So sorry to hear of this latest delay. Wishing you safe travels and a clean health report!
I am so sorry! I’ve been cheering you on and admire your courage and dedication to this adventure. Hoping and praying for a positive outcome for all of the wonderful residents.

So sorry to hear this news. It's not good. They should never have called you to the ship until it passed sea trials. Belfast is great, but it's a city full of offices, pubs, and shops. There's only so much you can do there. What they should have done was get you a hotel out of the city and bus you to the ship. They could have moved you to different places, as there are beautiful towns and experiences you could have been visiting. I'm so sorry to hear you are leaving. I hope this works out for you. I'm about 25 minutes away from Belfast and was there yesterday, so I called at the port to see the ship, thinking you were leaving soon. Please reach out if I can help in any way. I'm happy to help if I can.
Aww man my heart breaks for yall. You can feel your defeat in the message. Hoping this is the roughest of the seas and you are able to set sail soon. Holding out that without everyone there they will get everything done they need 🤞🏽🤞🏽

This was posted by a crew member (for the second time- I read a post from same crew member 2 months ago). This is important for the passengers to know. " I worked on this ship from May-July as a fabricator/welder. I have 15 years experience working on ships carrying out maybe 30 or more refits and I can without a doubt say that this ship is the worst condition i have ever seen a ship in. It is rottern from top to bottom, inside and out. A ship this size and age woulds cost tens of millions of pounds to get her up to spec, this hasnt happed. The only place this should have sailed to is Aliàga beach in Turkey 🇹🇷 "
I'm really confused because three days ago the company released a video of the sea trials and stated that they were completed successfully. So this was not a video I was expecting.
Exactly the point! The “Company” released that they passed, Patterson himself said they passed with only minor issues. Nowhere, anywhere else could you find the declaration that they passed except from the Company. What else are they not telling you…
@@Teacher659 The DNV does not release pass or fail information. So it could only come from VVR as to whether it passed or failed. Mike stated it passed- I heard him say that on one of the interviews. What's more- he never told the passengers the truth- EVER. From the start- the ship was to have so many things that it didn't have. Bait and Switch. Then he lied and said the ship would be ready to go in 10 days. He said that over and over- when he KNEW that there were months worth of work ahead. Why? Because he didn't want his passengers to get cold feet and ask for refunds. He tried to woo them with "free" cruises, trips to Tenerife, and supposed "per diems". He fed them delicious meals on the ship and plied them with free booze. It worked- many of the passengers still believe in Mike and his dream. A LIAR is always A LIAR- wake up people! I know it's sad to lose your money and your dream but it's over. It's done. Ship will be locked up- crew sent home- banks move it- ship scrapped in India.
I saw a news story about this company and it just gives me bad vibes, like maybe you’ll be stranded in the ocean type thing. Take care of yourselves first 🙏
I feel absolutely terrible for all of you. I can't say that I didn't see this coming. They should have NEVER sold any cabins or had anyone come to Belfast until the ship was ready to sail. I've watched as they were still constructing the areas and kept promising you dates and delaying and delaying and delaying. I knew that they would bankrupt themselves having to cover everyone's expenses. His body language (the CEO) throughout this whole ordeal told me that he used the money from selling the cabins to fund the construction and upgrades/sea trials etc. Now they've run out of money and are lying to you saying to pay for your own expenses for 7 days. Just like before, 7 days will turn in to a month and then six months. So unfair to those folks that sold everything they had to invest in this scam. They've reported throwing people that talked negatively about them off the ship. That's a MAJOR red flag. I'm so sorry, but it's smarmy and I hate seeing them take advantage of good people that believe in them. Get a lawyer. That's my advice. There's more than a million red flags and it's time to protect yourself. Get your money back and once a legitimate company that knows what they're doing gets it right, you can invest in them instead. So sad for you.
@@MidLifeCruising95 I'm really sad to be so negative. I just hate to see good people like you being taken advantage of. I still hope I'm wrong, but at this point I just want you both to protect yourselves.
@@meliciousmisc1717 Exactly. It's like telling someone that their husband (in this case Mike) cheated and they are like no I trust husband. Why would people be negative? They are telling you this is a bad situation because it is.
I get people from the outside looking in just don't get it. I can't write essays to explain all the financials and explain everything we see, hear, and know first hand. People are so adamant that THEY are right when they clearly are just pulling numbers from the air. We are good, we are confident. If we weren't, we would back out. Thank you for your concern.

Sorry to hear this news. I hope this isn’t the beginning of the end. Crazy the company purchased the ship without any maintenance records. Trying to think of something positive to say here but I’ll just keep my fingers crossed that everything turns out well. I was so looking forward to a departure video this week. Sorry about this terrible news. It probably will be telling to find out what is happening with the ship’s employees. If they are staying in the area then it is good news, if the employees are being told to leave as well then it maybe the beginning of the end.
Hi Angela and Steve, hope you both are doing ok. Hope, everyone that wants to believe in their venture along with you both, are doing ok also. Life is rough and even tho the Co. is trying to give comfort, it is a very stressful thing all the way around. Sure the owner meant well and want things to be okay. I have been watching any youtube putting up info on what is taking place. Think it thru and really do pros and cons to decide. I even think about the ship being out in the ocean and them running into trouble. Really there are so many things to think about. Hope Steve get good news on this pace maker. Take care you two, and wish nothing but happiness on what you decide to do. Joyce
I hope it all works out but look up the definition of sunk cost fallacy. It’s the tendency to stick with something because of time and/or money already invested even when the current costs outweigh the benefits.
Because they are NOT collecting money from us AND they were paying for everything. They finally stopped that as of today. Do I like it? Nope! Was it a smart, financial decision? YEP!
I’m sure there are very few people who wanted this to actually fail. But there are soooooooooooo many of us who could see right from the start that this was never going to end well. Like most, i HOPED i would be wrong, but never really believed it. There is nothing wrong with living with hope, but at some point, when it seemingly becomes clearer every week, you just have to stop kidding yourself into thinking everything will be ok. The warning signs were there from the start. I would never blame the passengers for trying, but when is enough enough ?
So sorry for this latest let down. Safe travels back to the States and it might be a blessing that he gets checked out by the Dr before you start this adventure. God Bless you both and your positive attitude through all of this.
Hoping your faith in them is rewarded with the dream finally becoming a reality. Praying for a good health report and that the adventure will begin as planned very soon.
It’s a proper rust bucket really, it’s not ever going to withstand rough seas without a lot of further problems in the future, I’ve said this from the very beginning, people run with the same dream then look back when it’s all too late, more money then sense too.

This is a very sad story. Anyone who knows and understands the shipping industry would have been able to see this coming. A ship of this age is in the twilight of its years and is going to be racking up significant repair and maintenance bills for the rest of its life. Hopefully the operators can get it through certification soon and the cruise can get underway soon so the passengers at least get some return on their considerable investment. I honestly cannot see this ending well - two years maximum.😊
As long as we set sail, we will be good. If this venture fails, we will be the first to say we were wrong. We have complete faith she will sail. We know more than people on the outside looking in...

@@irenekegel5988 There are no "deep pockets". No investors are going to see this as a lucrative endeavor. The passengers jumped on this because for very little money they could sail the world virtually "all inclusive". Where's the money for the investors? Sorry Angela- you've been handed a bunch of bs I'm afraid. Look at the ship- look at the lack of any business savvy here. Had there been "deep pocket investors"- they would have bought a better vessel- not a 31 year old one, and you'd be sailing right now.
Oh you guys! 😢Big hug 🤗 from 🇨🇦! I can see your disappointment but so admire your openness AND your willingness to share this hiccup with your viewers. I know you still have hope everything will work out…I’m hoping that for you as well.
So my assessment of the weird pattern of the sea trials was correct. 5 wide right turns, then two tight lefts, then back to port. Sorry folks, I knew this was a scam. This is not helping a cardiac condition, I myself have one, and this would be a no go.
When you enter into a contract with someone, pay them, and they not only do not deliver, but make a long list of promises to deliver but never do….that is a scam. As a welder, painter on aircraft, I know all to well there are hidden issues on older pieces of machinery. This is different, they are very elusive.
I am keeping everything crossed for the Villa Vie to get sorted swiftly and for you guys to get off on your residential cruise. Hopefully you will get there very soon. Enjoy your time at home and thanks for sharing all the news.
My opinion is they should have bought the ship, had everything completed then offered residence. Then they would be able to sail without all this waiting. Such a same that put the cart before the horse.
I really want it all to work out and that you're able to fulfill your dream cruise and have the most incredible experiences, in the meantime have a lovely trip home. All the best to you both.🌺🥂
I cant understand people here who are so sure you are being scammed. It makes NO sense, they say the company can “sail away and get away with this”-get away with WHAT? A partially functional ghost ship with no one on it? They have spent a ton of $ to try to make up for all of the unplanned and unforeseen issues, we saw those meals they served on the ship, they spared no expense, your living conditions have been very nice, they clearly had confidence that this would be resolved quickly, otherwise you probably would have been at a hostel and eating their version of fast food. So as happens, the ship is proving more difficult to get seaworthy than thought, or others issues have arisen, and the company (IMO) is being upfront and honest-if they keep paying for everyone to stay in such nice conditions in Belfast, they WILL go broke. They made a hard announcement and an even harder decision but they did it to keep the dream alive for you all. I dont want to be rude, but some of the commenters here ALWAYS say you are being ripped off. You are two smart people who have traveled extensively and accomplished a lot and you arent naive. I think your use of the time is very smart and will be one thing off your todo list after u set sail. Safe travels home!
Agreed!!! Very well said. People just don't get it. I realize how it may look from the outside looking in. We see the blood, sweat, and tears on a daily basis. We have full faith she will set sail!

I have been following your journey, and you guys have been more than patient. If they are hemorrhaging money, this could mean severe cut backs if you finally sail. If you have an out, I'd seriously consider it. Safe travels home.
Thanks for the concern. Hanging in a little longer...
They should have done all those tests and sea trials before selling any staterooms
Maybe so...
They needed the money to make repairs, like upfront capital, proof of concept.
For sure, I’m sorry to say this but it seems like a scam to me

Pretty sh*tty that they have had weekly meetings with the CEO and COO and that they were told this via email- instead of in person or face to face.

Fingers crossed! Thanks so much!
They did spend several hours over two days, but still... should have been longer.

This is what I was afraid of. Once I heard you and other TH-camrs say that the company was picking up your expenses, I was afraid that it would cause them to declare bankruptcy before the ship could even sail.

This may explain all the repairs and replacements thus all the delays...they have to pass inspections, no getting around it.
I hope it’s great news for you soon, you guys have such a positive attitude ❤️
We try...thanks so much!
I'm really confused because three days ago the company released a video of the sea trials and stated that they were completed successfully. So this was not a video I was expecting.
Same same same....
Yeah it’s so disappointing.
Take care of yourselves first 🙏
For coffees in the airport! Safe travels back ( for now!) to the U.S.
You are so kind...thank you so so much!!
Thanks for the support and insight...

Sorry about this terrible news. It probably will be telling to find out what is happening with the ship’s employees. If they are staying in the area then it is good news, if the employees are being told to leave as well then it maybe the beginning of the end.
Oh, will watch out for that.
The beginning of the end started already December 2023 when they announced that they bought the Braemar.
Joyce
Thanks so much....definitely lots to think about. She may be brand new after all the replacements and upgrades...hee hee
Best news ever!!! Go back to your old lives instead of waiting to board that creepy ship! This is Gods way of telling you to RUN!!!
Nnnnnoooo, we will set sail. Just not tomorrow. It is a delay, not the end!
YEP!
Ohhh the audacity to presume to know God's way or what he thinks about a given situation. Bless your heart, 🤡untkin!
My heart goes out to you both. Stay positive.
We surely will!
I agree. This is one red flag too many
We still firmly believe in the dream and know it will sail. As a start up, hiccups were expected. Ideal? No, but it will happen!
@@MidLifeCruising95 I will of course keep hoping i am wrong 🙂👍
I hope so, too. Still a risk we are willing to take.
Can you get your $100k back? Is it being held in escrow or is it all spent? Expensive lesson.
So sorry for this latest let down. Safe travels back to the States and it might be a blessing that he gets checked out by the Dr before you start this adventure. God Bless you both and your positive attitude through all of this.
Thank you, appreciate it.
My heart is breaking for you. ………. As long as your heart stays well Steve! Keep well and safe.
Appreciate it!!!
Hoping your faith in them is rewarded with the dream finally becoming a reality. Praying for a good health report and that the adventure will begin as planned very soon.
Thank you. We have complete faith that she will set sail soon, just not tomorrow.
It’s a proper rust bucket really, it’s not ever going to withstand rough seas without a lot of further problems in the future, I’ve said this from the very beginning, people run with the same dream then look back when it’s all too late, more money then sense too.
@@Michelle-wk4ek I like me a vintage beauty.
@@MidLifeCruising95I so admire the spirit and attitude you both have. Some of the comments, IMO, are less than civil...especially considering what you stand to lose. No matter the outcome, I am following your journey to its end, and truly wishing you smooth sailing ❤❤
You're the best! It's comments like this that keep us going!!!!
Hi guys! LOVE your optimism and TRULY hope this adventure happens for you both!! I find it ironic/funny that the name of the ship is "odyssey"! 🙄🤷♀ Hang in there and keep us updated!❤❤
Thanks so much.
With a name like Odyssey.....you can't say they didn't warn you!!
Ha ha ha
I'm so sorry to hear the bad news. Hopefully, everything works out soon so you can enjoy your long-awaited adventure. Sending positive energy your way. All the best.
Appreciate it!
@@MidLifeCruising95 I forgot to add this to my previous comment, but could you make a video explaining what documents are needed for travel? I imagine you'll need more than just a passport, as some countries may also require a visa. Thank you!
I’m glad you are traveling home to wait this out. I’m concerned about how this company is going to generate the revenue to buy fuel and pay staff other than your monthly fees. There must be several cabins still available for sail. They definitely pulled the trigger too soon to have guest arrive.
They held a lot of cabins for on going rentals, too.
I am so so very sorry to hear this news. I can’t imagine how devastated you are and I admire that you’re still hanging in if this will go forward. I will continue having you in my prayers and enjoy your time back in the US. The positive is that Steve can get everything checked out again and you can connect with your loved ones and friends. Focus on that. Please keep posting your updates are so much more than just a cruise. I’ve fallen in love with watching your videos. Just post about your life. You both are so enjoyable and entertaining. God bless you.
Thanks so much for your kind words, they truly mean a lot!
@MidLifeCruising95 the most positive thing about your journey so far is you have created a persona online and developed such a wonderful online community. There is always goodness even during trials and tribulations. Stay focused on that.❤
@@gracie65girl21 That's true. They've had an adventure and met a lot of nice people.
So kind of you to say...thank you.
I will take two years at this point. ha ha
@@MidLifeCruising95 I sincerely hope I am proved wrong and you get all you hoped and wished for - you deserve the best.
Same!!!
big hugs and safe travels. Praying for a great checkup for Steve and then a safe trip back to sail on your new home
Thanks so much!!!
How long can the denial continue?
As long as we set sail, we will be good. If this venture fails, we will be the first to say we were wrong. We have complete faith she will sail. We know more than people on the outside looking in...
@@MidLifeCruising95 Angela we have been following along with you. You've given us a window into this enterprise. When you say that you have insider information that we just don't know- inform us. You obviously know somethings that we as avid followers don't. Be transparent then.
@@MidLifeCruising95come on , wake up…people from the outside can see the truth , you been warned by many , take the pink glasses off …..even if you sail ,it needs a lot of money to feed, maintain a ship….they are running dry now where are they coming up with 100000 a month to keep going ….. they have a repair you are done ….get off go home and get a lawyer ..
I will always share what I am allowed to share....that simple. We aren't even the big rollers that are "founders" so we share what we can...
Oh you guys! 😢Big hug 🤗 from 🇨🇦! I can see your disappointment but so admire your openness AND your willingness to share this hiccup with your viewers. I know you still have hope everything will work out…I’m hoping that for you as well.
Thank you so much! We truly believe she will set sail!
So my assessment of the weird pattern of the sea trials was correct. 5 wide right turns, then two tight lefts, then back to port.
Sorry folks, I knew this was a scam.
This is not helping a cardiac condition, I myself have one, and this would be a no go.
Not a scam, just a ship that needs more work than thought..
When you enter into a contract with someone, pay them, and they not only do not deliver, but make a long list of promises to deliver but never do….that is a scam. As a welder, painter on aircraft, I know all to well there are hidden issues on older pieces of machinery. This is different, they are very elusive.
Maybe more of a concept that failed to be realized than an intentional scam.
@@tammieaf2712 At some point, the two things you mentioned met, and became entangled.
I am keeping everything crossed for the Villa Vie to get sorted swiftly and for you guys to get off on your residential cruise. Hopefully you will get there very soon. Enjoy your time at home and thanks for sharing all the news.
Fingers crossed! Thank you!
My opinion is they should have bought the ship, had everything completed then offered residence. Then they would be able to sail without all this waiting. Such a same that put the cart before the horse.
Yes....it stinks.
Seems they needed the capital to conduct the renovations.
I really want it all to work out and that you're able to fulfill your dream cruise and have the most incredible experiences, in the meantime have a lovely trip home. All the best to you both.🌺🥂
Thanks so much, appreciate it.
