I feel so validated by this. I have migraines a lot and I've had them since I was probably five years old back in good old 1980 where there weren't many treatment except for ergotamine tablets. And my pediatrician was like oh she'll grow out of it when she's 18 okay well 30 years later we're still having those problems. But I never really brought up the fact that sometimes my glasses hurt they hurt to be on my nose it hurts to be touching my ears. I take out my ponytail because sometimes I'm thinking it's too tight and I pull it out I'm like there wasn't really that tight at all and I shouldn't have hurt me. It hurts to touch my scalp or run my fingers through my hair. I can't wear headphones or earbuds. Talking on the phone especially back during the land-line days was agony. It hurts to touch even my eyebrows or itch my nose. I just thought the doctor is going to think I'm really laying it on thick to try to get narcotics or something and it's like no I just want this to stop. Growing up my parents never understood me because I didn't have the internet to look things up about it so they always thought I was just trying to get out of school when I would say oh God it's too bright in here I need you know to be in the dark and nobody really talked to me I just need quiet and once I hit my threshold that's like I'm so sorry I love you but I can't talk to you right now. And how sometimes even people with boring if it's consistent makes my head hurt worse so hearing at this is actually something that occurs is so helpful to know that I'm not having some weird symptoms going on and I'm the only one.

changes in brain structure and connectivity occurs in chronic migraines, so does that mean that risk of cutaneous allodynia increases in patients suffering from chronic migraines?

I went to hospital thinking I was having another stroke. My head felt like needles going in the right side of my head. Next day left and right side of head for 20 minutes very intense. I had 4CTs with and without contrast and a MRI. Neurologist diagnosed as Allodynia whilst I do recieve migraine infusions.

i have chronic migraines that i suspect is due to my allergic sinusitis, im seeing an ENT doctor right now, just did my CT scan and im meeting him next week. but i do get these pimples in my forehead, and if i touch or press them they increase my headache. i do not know if this is related to this or not.

is pain that lasts for a week from simple needle prick during blood test considered hyperalgesia?
