  • You requested I try out this diaper - the Bambino Mio Miosolo - and while it's function is great, truthfully there are many other AIO diapers I love so much more than this one.

would be great if your explanations were a bit simpler for first time mums - you're clearly addressing people who already know how to use cloth nappies. Thank you!

This is basically everyones creche nappy here. We love them combined with a little booster. They aren't expensive at all here, you can get them in aldi and other supermarkets from time to time for €12, and anywhere from 16-20 online. A bumgenius pocket could be up to €25 here and this performs much better imo. We also love the generous size of this one. It was one of the last one sizes outgrown here.

We have 15 of these and send them to daycare or lay them out when we have babysitters since caregivers tend to prefer Velcro closures. I kept the original insert and add a hemp booster for awesome absorbency. These fit chunky/big babies/toddlers much better than any other hook and loop pockets/all in ones, which is why we prefer them to other brands.

Babysitters with no cloth experience love these for my son. He started out peeing the microfiber so I added a Geffenbaby insert. No leaking ever since. The size adjustment snaps come loose occasionally. Pretty decent price point for a brand name.

I rarely ever post on videos but I wanted to thank you so much for all your work with these videos! I’m a FTM (due in Feb) and I dont have a clue about where to begin with cloth diapers but your videos definitely help to gradually figure out what will work best for us :)

We recently bought one of these, looking forward to using it. Main issue we are anticipating is drying times.

These were one of my favourites for the first 6 months. I'm generally not a fan of synthetics, but I bought these for faster drying. I loved that they lined dried quicker than my others, I loved the fit, and I loved how soft and flexible they felt on my son, and I LOVED not having to rummage through the clean washing to try and find the matching inserts. We've also had no problems with the fibre holding smell.
We're now at 9 months and I'm considering selling the ones I have because they don't absorb enough for us. I bought 7 of them and a pack of the MioBoost boosters. They're all fine and those boosters add a little bit if you lay them inside the actual nappy, but I don't love them. Then if I'm stuffing other kinds of inserts and boosters in along with the tongue it's just kinda annoying. I have been very tempted to cut off the tongue, but given what we paid for them in Australian Dollars it feels a little like sacrilege. They really are very expensive for what they are.
Oh well, maybe I should just sell them and see if I can pick up something else that suits us better, 'cause I find myself reaching for every single pocket we own over these now, brand name or otherwise 😅.

I recently bought these and so far, I really liked them. Out of all the ones I have, these are the ones That I feel my baby less wet on her parts. I also love the Velcro ( Pilvi and Mylly muksut in Finland also use it) . I would love to find out other brands that leave my baby dry.

glad I'm not the only person who feels the weird things you feel when we touch microfiber 😩 it's pretty terrible, I just can't even touch it!!

Received these for my baby shower but I hate microfiber so I cut the insert out 😂. So far so good, I usually stick a hemp/bamboo insert and/or GMD muslin flat. But knowing what I know now about CD now I would never go out of my way to purchase this brand.

I don't know why I didn't think to close the velcro together before washing them because when I get them out of the machine theyre all stuck together like I'm doing a magic trick or something haha

I am just starting out with cloth nappies. I have a couple of bambino mio as in the uk they are available in supermarkets. Up until now I have used disposable nappies but my 14 month keeps leaking through. I got some extra inserts and some boosters to add for absorbency. Any advice for first time cloth nappy users would be great

We LOVE the Mio soft. The ONLY complaint I have is that the tabs are super narrow and it makes it hard to use over wrapped flats. The tummy panel pocket on the Mio soft is very large and perfect for pad folded flats or prefolds. If you do a cover video on it I would love to hear your thoughts and maybe you can find a way around the narrow tabs for flats.

Oh I have questions for bambino mio. They just arent evolving ... I feel like they arent listening to feed back :(
    Their prefolds are horrible
Miosolos leak like crazy after 6 months
Miosoft covers are prone to pul failure after moderate use.
They are sold in a few major UK retailers like asda and lidl (or Aldi) so they are making the right moves to make cloth mainstream :) but I really wish they would release a natural version of mio solo and normal (less giant and bulky ) prefolds, maybe a more durable pul

Their prefolds were great when they did the sized versions. A one size prefold makes no sense, especially since their covers are sized, would have made more sense to do it the other way round.

I want to add that while I hate synthetics for washing....their microfiber never ever has held smell. I haven't treated it special and if anything mine have gone through the ringer for a year. So dont worry about their MF not cleaning 😊
(I also hate how expensive it is for a synthetic diaper and they do run big!)

I'm due in Dec, currently building my stash and I'm partial to hook and loop. It seems like it will just be so much easier to get on and off and give a better fit. I wonder why there aren't more diapers with hook and loop?

    • @clothyoriginal
      @clothyoriginal 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

I think basically is that the velcro doesn't usually last as long as tge snaps, if you get the same diaper in both snaps & hook & loop, use them the same amount of time over a year or 2 then the snap version will look a lot newer than than velcro. You might need to replace the velcro if you want to use them on a second child. I love having velcro, but I tend to save them for other people or when Im too tired to do snaps or something. I wish more brands did velcro.

I found the quality of the make to be cheap. Sadly only a single stretch, won’t last very long for children that like to play rough..? Resale wouldn’t be great either.
