I'm Flávio, I live in Brazil, and I'm a fan of the channel ..... I don't speak English, but I put it in the Portuguese subtitles to understand. I am very happy to see the respect and care you have when entering the places. Happy birthday
Someone else probably already commented it but... the 'clock' looking thing on the wall is a barometer, it measures the barometric pressure (atmospheric pressure), or 'weight of the air'. We can feel this pressure on damp, rainy days or very hot, humid days, etc. It can effect some people's breathing, sinuses, arthritis, etc.
What an epic find. Untouched, everything left, just amazing. I love how you always thank the owners for the pleasure of documenting their family homes. I always look forward to your next videos. Thanks guys, stay safe and healthy.
Hi Ole Borgesen, that is exactly what I thought too, when these two amazing guys are together exploring, the result is just breathtaking afterwords. - And - we could really see that in the video! - Peace and kindest regards from Switzerland.
As always, you find such beautiful places! This is no exception. Such beautiful things and beautiful house just sitting there! It seemed barely dusty too. Maybe someone goes in to keep it clean, if its in probate! I love your passion. Your oos and ahhhs. I am like that in an antique shop lol. Thank you once more Lesley! 👌👌
That large hook on the table up stairs (around 19 minute mark) looks like a device for opening upper windows that you can't reach on your own. Or perhaps for pulling down an attic access door.
I am just today, july 2023, seeing this video. I thought you & Moreno were the same person, until just a few days ago. You definitely look like brothers, & sound exactly alike, & even have similar phrases said exactly the same way. I am happy to see you both together & have this clarity. I think you both will show the same places from time to time, so I guess this may have brought more mix up in my head. Plus, i never watch in any set order. So i guess i may have thought any difference in looks was bc of a difference in times/years etc .. I love both your channels. 😊
I think this is my favorite ever. What if every person handled other people's property as respectfully as you guys do? Thanks for traveling and taking me to places I could never actually go!
Hi Maureno, How are you doing, dear bro? - This was really an absolutely amazing explore, you did together with Lesley. Wishing you all the best, peace and kindest regards from quite cold and partially snowy Switzerland.
I think some of the furniture was covered with sheets. Did you peek under the sheets to see if the covered furniture was even more magnificent than the uncovered ones?
'Greetings from Hongkong' The most i like from your video because i can see a lof of antique stuff with elegant vintage design,,bring back my memory about my grandma house in the past....🥰
You two are the very best. You find the best and awesome places. The history and how you respect the places. I'm glad both work together from time to time and bring each other up. That's building relationships. This mansion, the antiques and everything in it is exquisite. I don't understand why it's abandoned with things left behind. So sad.
The leather chairs are hand tooled /embossed. The bird in the picture looks like a pheasant. Not closet but armoire for clothes. The oriental cabinet is so beautiful ! Black lacquer with mother of pearl.
Love that you are both so passionate and working together... two kind souls, sharing what you love to do, and we love to explore, "with" you, on your journeys. Thank you!!
I think that horn that you thought was a musical instrument is actually a gun powder holder for a muzzle load gun. My grandmother collected antiques and she had one.
I can't imagine just leaving this beautiful home. The furniture and woodwork is as beautiful. It's not often we get to hear about people who were so giving to children, I think this itself is a amazing story. I'd love to live there in this home. Thank you for sharing this. Just amazing. I love old homes and I love history.
It's actually not as strange as it may seem. Wealthy people would keep their silverware, China, etc locked up to avoid theft as they were very valuable. I work for very wealthy people and the majority have a lot of furniture that locks up like that in different rooms. Desks and jewelry cabinets...

So happy to see you both together! I only watch both your channels. I wonder if the keys were actually on top of the pieces of furniture. I was so excited that the home looked cared for and their seemed to be no structural decay or mold. It almost seems that someone was watching out for the house. I don't know that they had any children. As a mother of 5 and a grandmother of 11, there should be some evidence of them like toys or pictures. There may be some distant relatives that are in litigation. I would love to see it open as a museum for the town. What a treasure.
My two favorite adventure guys teaming up together and what a joy!! I'm so glad you two are friends and making these fabulous videos! This is an incredible home
This is a wonderful place Maureno found. All the furniture is breathtaking, someone could move in and start living. I hope no one else finds it as they will be breaking everything open. I love this place and hope someone protects it. Thank you Leslie and Maureno. Thank you for this breathtaking home.
It's so awesome when you find homes with everything inside still. Like you said , a time capsule ! The definitely lived a good life. Their home has such beautiful pieces in it. I could just move right in !!
Wow, Lesley I'm so glad you teamed up with Maureno, you look like brothers! You sound like you are Dutch as well? This house is UNTOUCHED how amazing! Much love from Australia xxx
Great video of a most beautiful home! My feelings is that this home is STILL taken care of!! Someone is doing the up keep on the inside!! I’m so happy to see it all in perfect order. Sad of-course that it can not be enjoyed by others and remains unloved.
Grand pianos are large flat and 3 legged with the piano harp horizontal. Upright pianos are smaller fit snugly against the wall, with the piano harp vertical.
Love your passion and the respect that you have for the previous occupants love your channel and explomo thanks for keeping the videos going they have got me through lockdown
You'd be surprised at how many people don't care about Antiques anymore and how many do. Some of the family members prefer to just walk away and leave it all instead of taking care & time to pack it up and move it. It's alot of work but so worth it. I collect Antiques myself but my brother doesn't.
Woow Lesley, Bros of Decay, This room with the beautiful furniture really is looking very promising. I presume, that this mansion must be an incredible Urbex gem. - I am already so excited to see the lifestream! Peace and kindest regards.
The owners are too dead to give the attention it would need. And hiers are too not interested and rich to live in bother with a cold manner house that's not enjoyable to live that constantly needs some servants hustling and fixing stuff nonstop. And they're not interested in turning their safe space into a museum where the pitchfork could find home.
This was built the same year as my house !! I love it it's so beautiful !! I sure hope everyone shows this wonderful home the respect that you have !! Everything here is so clean and beautiful !! Tons of cob webs on the windows !! Great video as always loved it all 👍👍
This was wonderful really enjoyed. You found a gem. So many beautiful things where to begin. The turquoise antique bowl/vase under the picture of the house was stunning. The bedroom with the pink and green wallpaper was magical with that gold and pink light fixture and the pretty bed wow loved. I liked the overall warm home feel of this house. With all the plates and clocks and pretty feminine things around. Adorable with the dollies on the dressers and the French pictures of the ladies with the children brilliant loved. You do such a fantastic job. You take us on a fairytale. This is the best yet. I hope the souls of this family are at peace they seemed lovely. Stay safe and thank you for sharing and for allowing us to see this sweet home. Maybe time will allow it to be used once again for another family. Blessings for you and the fella who was exploring with you and of course your brother Jordy. Peace from Maryland USA Love you. Great job.😊🥰💖😊🤗
The picture of the bird looks like what we here in Texas call a Roadrunner. All of the closet cabinets may be locked because it looked like they were starting to go thru and pack things in that one room all that boxed up stuff.
Hi Lesley and Jordi! I love your explores. I love the old things. They're my passion. I'm an old soul from long ago. Thank you for bringing me back in time!
I've just discovered your channel. So nice, so many beautiful things. It does tug at my heart to see such beautiful things just forgotten. Thanks for showing me such beautiful stuff so far from me in Western Kentucky, USA.
Such a loving place. The warm interiors show how loving these people were. The recording device at 13:20 is actually an audio tape recorder and I think the yellow torch at 23:30 was probably used for attaching onto a bicycle.
The children of the former owners who are now deceased are waiting for the estate to be settled with the French Court. The valuables are locked up so the items will not be stolen. The more children the more squabbles over who gets what and this can take years before a decision has been made.
If the children of the former owners are now deceased how can they be waiting for the estate to be settled by the French court???? Hard to do if you are dead.
It's so sad, how greedy people get during these times. I know I have experienced it in my own family. I don't have a lot but everything down to my socks will be divided and given to my attorney. Any one argued than they lose there part. I'm won't be here to deal with so I will do it before I part this earth.
You never let us down. This is an outstanding fine. Such gorgeous wood carvings on their furniture. Love the ceilings also with the beautiful designs and the real nice chandeliers. It looks like they didn't spare any expense in buying their really nice furniture. All of those marble tables are lovely. Absolutely fascinating! Your accent makes these video's twice as cute. Thank you for the tour. You out-did yourself on this one!!! Take care.
Lack of family bonding ? Who would leave his parents or grandpas's belongings ready to be vandalized? I don't like judging but it's a pity for everyone involved.
The piano you called a grand is in fact an upright. A grand is flat with strings placed horizontal to the floor and is supported by three legs and the top can be raised and propped up to give more volume. Most homes contained upright pianos because they were easier to move, and also didn't take up as much floor space. The instrument on the wall is called barometer and measures air pressure.
Amazing mansion. It's nice to see that the roof appears to be in good shape and there's no leaking and no one has been in there to vandalize it. Maybe one day soon the family will come back and clear it out or move back in.
I'm an avid fan just a silent viewer. So love all your videos. I don't know why I love old/antique stuffs, it gives me happiness and I feel so relaxed!❤
Between the background music and your voice... most of the time I have to watch two or three times to see it all. The calmness and reverence in your voice is very soothing.
I love the oil lamps in this place and I love that red couch in the living room. I always appreciate your deep respect and your ability to have empathy and to search out the history of whoever or whomever the house or Villa the place belong to. You show such tenderness and kindness to their things and to their memory which I find to be a very valuable and admirable quality that you and your brother possess. Thank you ‼️ PS, I would give you money if I had it to give. Truly I would. God bless.
Hi Lesley & Maureno & William, the tea pot looks like Aladdin`s Magic Lamp! Love the unique clock & statue on fireplace & yes loved that you rang the bell to show it still works & the design on the chairs was so unique too! The carving on the wood cabinet was gorgeous! Maybe he locked everything up so no vandalism & knew family had keys or knew where keys were. I love the rugs on the floor & the tile in rooms. The bird looks like a Road Runner bird. You say the bed that the man & his wife slept is same size you said was child`s bed. The glass orange or pink flower shades on the chandelier is so beautiful!!
Hi there, dear friend Lesley, Bros of Decay, This was really an absolutely amazing location in France. - The furniture and the interior decoration was absolutely outstanding to see. I would say, that most of the furniture and some of the other interiors are from the late 19th century, and they are made in the so called historism style, a style imitating older cultural historic periods, like baroque, rokoko and renaissance, just to name a few examples. - I loved listening to your comment, and it's always such a pleasure to walk in mind at your side through such a unique mansion. - Thank you very much for sharing this exceptional Urbex gem with us viewers! - Of course it was also a pleasant surprise to see my other favourite Explorer friend Maureno at your side at the beginning of your video. - I am already looking forward to your next Urbex adventures. Stay safe, dear bro, peace and much love. - Lots of blessings and kindest regards.
Thanks guys for sharing this truly stunning house with us, I always enjoy your videos, you are very respectful and I commend for that. So sad it has been left , really hope it gets saved
I believe you are what is called an "old soul". You have such an amazing heart and even though I have met you I can tell you are a person who just appreciates the simplest things in life. I love how you connect with the places you explore and how you bring to life an empty place. I appreciate also that you respect the place and the life that was lived there. It's refreshing to see someone your age with so much respect. You must have an amazing family that brought you up so well. Be careful, stay safe, and God bless.
Greetings from the U.S. and thank you for these fascinating and relaxing videos. I like to watch them to de-stress (lol) and learn. This one is fantastic!
Truly magnificent place, love that you are so sincere Lesley - love every video you and team make, the stories behind each one are nostalgic and you breathe life into these homes that once had people and families in them. So privileged to see so much history. You guys are so inspiring and we appreciate how much effort and energy you put in to make this happen. Bless you and team in all that you do, stay safe, happy and healthy!
Absolutely incredible. I can’t believe you are able to go inside these homes with out some kind of permission. How is that possible? Ann from Va USA 🇺🇸
It was such a joy to see you explore this house. You have an eye for beauty and are able tell us so much about the people, who they were. I am learning so much from you not only about the decor but also the traditions of the French, German and Italian. It brought back good memories when I saw that Coo-Koo wall clock. I found myself remembering it’s sound. I would listen for the hour to strike. Dinner is served! The Amore in the Bedroom with the mirrored door and the pink parlour settee were lovely and there was some beautiful wall paper and gorgeous wood work on the chairs in some of those rooms. Blown away. Wallpaper seems to be very popular in Europe. Thank you, it’s one your best videos so for!
I've seen quite a few of these abandoned homes castles mansions. It seems like a lot of them disappeared approximately 10 years ago give or take a couple years. You're doing a great job thank you very much for your service. It's amazing what people walk away from or how they disappear you just have to hope the best for everyone.
Glad to know that you opened it up for us all to watch: it's remaind so cosy, and everything looks so comfy and tidy (plus, no mold or water infiltrations damage that it makes you want to move in right away! I would: where's the entrance key, for Heaven's sake ? !
Great find and explore!! The item on the wall did not appear to be clock - it looks like a weather station - barometer, etc. Thank you guys for taking us along on this adventure!!
Well that was outstanding Lesley ,one of the amazing ones .so so sad it’s just going to decay as always ,what a waste ,thank you for your outstanding videos ,they just get better an better ,see you next Sunday much love Ann uk xx
Awesome, awesome, awesome explore! This place is pristine! The bathroom cabinets... when you opened them...everything was just in its place! I loved the Asian touches. They were certainly two special people and family. Sad that it’s just sitting there. Lesley and Maureno...you two are great! Bros of Decay and Explomo are the best explorers. (EX...can’t forget Remon)
You stated what a generous person this man was. I find that the importance of this story is the love he seems to have had for the residents of this community. Otherwise I can’t comprehend how someone who was so giving surrounded themselves with gluttony.
I've just subscribed to this channel and I must say I am absolutely impressed!! This home/mansion is breathtaking, the gorgeous furniture, clocks, marble topped table and dressers are exquisite. I do sincerely hope there are family members available, willing and able to keep this gorgeous home and all furnishing and collectibles safe and bring love and happiness back into this home. Thank you for this awesome journey through this home.❤❤
Such a wonderful home it was for sure back in a time . Just thinking once again after watching this - we can’t take anything with us - all the stuff we collecting during our life time . Just think for a moment ......A big thx for you guys - another great video, good quality content . Take care pls ! Stay cool 🤗🌷
Thank you for sharing the beauty of all these wonderful abandoned places ! Your excitement and emotions when exploring make them even more beautiful and interesting! The drawings and the pieces of furniture are so pretty....
The animal horn you saw hanging on the wall is not a musical instrument. It is called a "powder horn". They filled them with gun powder, and carried them around their neck with a length of leather. The powder was loaded into a gun called a "musket", they loaded the musket with gun powder and wadding, and lead ball, then they would shoot the animal or person, what ever they were shooting at.
Those pictures of women in long dresses are images taken out of Godey's ladies book/ magazine which was published from 1830 to 1878. These are in great demand by fashion historical collectors. The images represented fashion that was current at the time of publication. Similar to our current Vogue magazine. It had recipies, beauty tips, etiquette tips, stories and showed the latest fashion.
I own one of those books. I love looking thru it. The images and the stores are wonderful. It belonged to my grandmother. I have had it for close to at-least 45 years.!
Incredibly beautiful things we encountered, beautiful antiques, in this very cozy house and then in a such outstanding condition . Thank you Bros of Decay for showing me and thank you for the respect you show for the things left by the former inhabitants
It's so nice seeing 2 younger men that love Antiques and History and homes and people the way you both do! Thank you
Two very handsome men also ;))

💕This is awesome! My two favorite Explorers Lesley and Maureno.
Bros of Decay and Explomo, two of the best Explorers in the world.💕

Me, too! These guys, Lesley, Maureno, Danny, Remon and Lesley' brother are cool guys!!!
Wonderful explore. Glad you guys got in there first. Nice seeing Maureno too. Stay safe❤

Lesley and maureno the house is beautiful how can the family just abandoned like that .amazing explore
Great video
Lack of family bonding ? Who would leave his parents or grandpas's belongings ready to be vandalized? I don't like judging but it's a pity for everyone involved.

This house is looking amazing would love to buy it and move in there though. Hi Cynthia how are you doing I hope you’re safe from the virus?
The keys was in the first room on the table upstairs..Two keys should open them all .we had some dressers like them when i was young
I noticed that too.
Yea I noticed it also.
God bless.
dude! same! love me a lamp and THAT red couch.... adorable
The bathroom is very svintage tooo !!!! MAGNIFIQUE !!! J'adore !!! 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
Hi there, dear friend Lesley, Bros of Decay, This was really an absolutely amazing location in France. - The furniture and the interior
decoration was absolutely outstanding to see. I would say, that most of the furniture and some of the other interiors are from the
late 19th century, and they are made in the so called historism style, a style imitating older cultural historic periods, like baroque,
rokoko and renaissance, just to name a few examples. - I loved listening to your comment, and it's always such a pleasure to walk
in mind at your side through such a unique mansion. - Thank you very much for sharing this exceptional Urbex gem
with us viewers! - Of course it was also a pleasant surprise to see my other favourite Explorer friend Maureno at your side at the
beginning of your video. - I am already looking forward to your next Urbex adventures.
Stay safe, dear bro, peace and much love. - Lots of blessings and kindest regards.
To me, the inside of the home was very tastefully decorated. Love the wallpaper.
That horn hanging on the wall looks like a "powder horn" used for holding gunpowder from the days of muzzleloading guns.
I watch your videos over & over, I think this is the least dustiest one! I just love everything about them 🥰
Thanks guys for sharing this truly stunning house with us, I always enjoy your videos, you are very respectful and I commend for that.
Should say even though I never met you,,,,
Hi, beautifully expressed! I couldn't say it better. - Kind regards
I think the same.
Greetings from the U.S. and thank you for these fascinating and relaxing videos. I like to watch them to de-stress (lol) and learn. This one is fantastic!
I do the same, completely forgetting who am I.)
I've just subscribed to your channel. You guys are such good people. How much you care, and show me how much you love your life. Namaste.
I hope you putting this on here doesn't get a bunch of people in there to trash it and tear it up. Just beautiful
Lesley and Maureno, I have no words to describe the joy Felt Wen I see your videos.
Thank very much
Absolutely incredible.
It looks ready to move in.Wow🤭 love it , thanks Leslie and partners 🙏🏽❤️
Well that was outstanding Lesley ,one of the amazing ones .so so sad it’s just going to decay as always ,what a waste ,thank you for your outstanding videos ,they just get better an better ,see you next Sunday much love Ann uk xx
Wow, this is a jackpot find!
What gluttony?

Sensacional parabéns adorei essa casa muito conservada, amo ver tudo no lugar sem depressão Salvador Bahia 🇧🇷🙋
Good to see you both !! Thanks for sharing all the videos, very interesting!!👍👍👍
So glad no-one else has been in there to trash such a great find and a gem of a home. Thanks for sharing this one.
Craftsmanship of furniture just beautiful,Great time capsule,Thank you for tour Love u
Wow! Ur best explore yet. I'm so glad u appreciate all the antiques and architecture. Those armoires were killing me!
