STORY
Amidst the silence and veiled in the mists of time stands the Johnson Mansion, an opulent property shrouded in mystery and bearing witness to a tale of immense wealth, questionable ambition, and a sudden, inexplicable abandonment.
The Johnson family, the mansion's former occupants, were an enigmatic clan who rose to prominence through their shrewd business acumen in the oil industry. Their fortune, however, was tainted by rumors of questionable practices and ethical compromises.
Undeterred by these whispers, the Johnsons embarked on an ambitious project to establish a self-sufficient community, far removed from the scrutiny of the outside world. On their vast estate, they constructed a network of interconnected buildings, transforming the surrounding landscape into a thriving hub of activity. Within this self-contained world, the Johnsons sought to create a utopian society, free from the constraints and complexities of modern life.
However, their vision took a dark turn as their isolation fueled an unhealthy obsession with control and exclusivity. The Johnsons' community gradually evolved into a cult-like entity, shrouded in secrecy and governed by strict rules.
In 2008, a major scandal erupted, exposing the Johnsons' illegal activities and the sinister underbelly of their supposedly idyllic community. The once-thriving estate was abruptly abandoned, its inhabitants fleeing in the face of overwhelming scrutiny and legal repercussions.
The exact details of the scandal remain shrouded in secrecy, fueling speculation and adding to the mansion's mystique. Some whisper of financial fraud and illegal dealings, while others hint at darker secrets, tales of human experimentation and forbidden rituals.
Join us as we embark on a thrilling exploration of the abandoned Johnson Mansion, delving into the enigmas that surround this mysterious estate. We'll uncover the secrets of the Johnsons' rise to power, examine the circumstances that led to their downfall, and unravel the truth behind their sudden abandonment.

Sad that there's all these beautiful abandoned homes you keep finding out there and there are so many homeless people out there freezing and dying.
I agree, why are they abandoned with no use...I'd love living here myself... ❤
It's very sad that people can look upon one man's treasure, earned by a lifetime of hard work, and think that it should be given to him for free.
Fakir bir evsiz bu eve nasıl bakabilir ?
@@annettes965 Frequently theyvare abandoned because taxes are too high. Some others have major structural issues. Bottom line, ALL are owned by someone who would sell for the right offer. Unless you inherited a bunch of money, for most people, that means years of working AND SAVING by living below your means for a period of time before buying. People want to cry about it but that's the way it has ALWAYS been done in America. People today don't want to deny themselves anything today in order to have a better tomorrow. That's on those who won't. The people who built those houses? That's how they did it.
In the early 20th century, Baldwin was at the height of its success. The company produced some of the world's best pianos, which were used by classical musicians and composers.
I can’t believe that place is unlocked and hasn’t been vandalized!
Someone is maintaining that property fellas.
It looks like that was a very old house completely restored
No squatters, no looters and someone paying the utilities.
This house was so beautiful!! I’m so disappointed in the fact that no one is living in it. Wow it really doesn’t need that much work to bring it back to life. And the views are beautiful. The kitchen was so big. I’m so happy that nobody has vandalized the gorgeous property. If only I knew who owned it I definitely would’ve bought it and made it into an investment property. Thanks 🙏 again for a wonderful exploration!!
The Russian Doll baskets are designed like that for efficient storage. When in use, you take them apart and you have 3 differently sized baskets. When not used, they are put inside each other so they occupy less space. I store my suitcases the same way when I'm at home, although they are completely different kinds.
The framed glass above the door is called a transom. It was used in the summertime to help ventilate be the room.
This has to be one of the most unusual explores I've seen you both do, because of the nature of the house being so clean still. I have a hard time imagining it being abandoned for as long as it has. The decay seems very minimal, and no signs of visible vandalism. I was impressed. Everything about this home reeks of opulence and wealth. I don't think I saw one thing left behind there that qualified as "cheap", or distasteful. You can definitely tell these people came from money. It doesn't bother me that this is not a "time-capsule" home with tons of memories left behind. I can appreciate the house in itself. The architecture was fabulous and well designed. I really liked it. Great video as usual, Lesley and Danny! You both did an awesome job. Thanks for taking us on a tour of this home!
Roof has probably held up well, once the roof is gone, the rest of the building will deteriorate quickly.
This property was owned by the Blackburn's, not Johnson's. It was not part of an oil family, not a cult and no scandal, not abandoned, someone still upkeeps it and it is for sale. No respect for other people's properties. Sad.
I'm sure they didn't know it. They have try, at least, to do some research.
House gets cleaned like it is a museum now
Nowadays, in America, we keep our guns a lot closer lol
Danny is right, don't walk on frozen pools, ponds, whatever. Thanks for sharing
Why is this place not up for sale? Looks like it could still be lived in, i saw no decay!
It’s strange to me that in the US, when homes are abandoned and in good shape as this one is, that there are no squatters present. Especially with the homelessness here.
And the doors not being locked,….
It’s in BFE
In urban areas, in cities like Detroit, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Chicago, there ARE squatters, and they're Dangerous people ....
You must be quite narrow minded in your thinking of the united states, in that you would make a comment such as this. This is a very large country and our suburbs and towns our mountain communities and beautiful countrysides of villiages do not have squatters waiting for empty homes.
Yah, I tried to point out that it's the huge, crime infested cities which have that problem .... not rural America .....@@tonycorente7304 .....
I could listen to this guy talk all day long. I love his accent.❤
I'm only 10 seconds in but...coming from ND, I still enjoy watching adults, especially men, having a lighthearted snowball fight! I guess no matter who or where you are or even how old, we all still have a bit of kid in all of us!
It looks too clean to be abandoned.
Really like the history behind the former owner(s)
Could create a 2nd channel about history, biographies, etc
What history, can't find anything online.
@@Kat-bd9deIt’s probably palm oil not petroleum oil. This place is probably part of Curt’s divorce after he S.A.’d his stepdaughter, in Racine.
Nice big basement.
That cookstove is a commercial home kitchen stove. Like a restaurant stove just a few less burners.
Imagine making pasta on that Italian marble. I loved that industrial style kitchen so functional
The toilet off the kitchen is for the cook and other servants who would not use the family's. Don't you think that you really should have turned the fan off outside and left the front porch light on like you found it? Probably left on by whoever comes to check on the property. They will know someone has been there. You always do such wonderful explores! Thank you.
He did turn it off it takes a while for the fan to stop spinning completely.
That's so weird that the utilities are still on after 15 years I wonder who pays for that or did the family just pay the utility company in advance for years
Loved this mansion to me ,loved colors ,still in great shape ,wonder why one of the children don't want to live there maybe when older ,great explore ,found a good one
No, Americans don’t store guns in grandfather clocks. We have gun cabinets or safes.
That house looks really good for being abandoned for 15 years. Baldwin is a lower end piano manufacturer. Not very high quality.
Lesley and Danny, Yet another wonderful adventure from my old home state, a beautiful old home sadly left to decay in the elements... So happy to see you guys having a fun snowball 'fight' at the intro, I almost miss that from my younger days... fun to throw, not so much being hit. An excellent job of blending both of your recordings together Danny!! I'm so glad that Lesley's "I've never walked on a frozen pool before..." didn't turn into "I've never been rescued from a semi-frozen pool before...". It's a beautiful looking location to enjoy all the seasons in the surrounding hills. Where I grew up was in a valley next to a river, so our view was looking up to the hills... Could you tell if any of those other houses around the main house were also abandoned or were they occupied? Anyway, another great Sunday explore with you guys... Continue to take care and be safe!! Eric W.
How is the electric still on after 15 years?! Do you know what the electric bill would be in a house like this after 15 years? It would be ridiculous
It’s for sale
@@jennmontague3350How do you know?
@@snelly4939 Google
I heard the banks leave the electric on so there is less decay.
This was such a beautiful home. Too bad you didn't get to film the servants/guest houses.
The facade of the house is a good setting for a Christmas movie.
Valcan stoves are for restaurants or where there's industrial equipment needed and yes there very expensive..and thoes chairs upstairs are called queen ann chairs there worth a nice piece of change..
Love your videos. Mistaking a grandfather clock for a gun cabinet is understandable, since you're unfamiliar with our culture. LOL
Love the dual camera situation all at the same time
So appreciate all of your videos! You do a fantastic job showing the details and narrating! BTW, the Baldwin brand of piano is very high quality. Expensive! The American recording artist, Billy Joel, will only perform using a Baldwin piano.
This place looked more like an estate property than a mansion!
It's no Elkins Park.
@@robertdesantis6205 Elkins park pa?
@davidhibbs6989 Yes. Was there back in the 90's when the Korean Bible Pres were holding services in the chapel.
@@robertdesantis6205 yes I grew up in the area about 10 miles north of here around hatboro pa. I can remember everything going on in that area as well!
@davidhibbs6989 I hear rumors that the county is refurbishing the estate. Hated to see it in such disrepair.
I’ve been to the Netherlands several times. Love the style of Amsterdam the beautiful buildings and the 7 sisters bridges 🥰
Baldwin is an American piano manufacturer.
Tempos fugit is Latin for time flies.
What a beautiful home. Doesn't seem like it would take too much to fix it up. Great architecture. So many great furniture pieces just left behind. That "master" bedroom was HUGE!! Whoever lived there has a flare for Asian , Victoria , Art Deco furniture 😬 Too many different styles in one room lol😂.
None the less, another great video & beautiful abandoned secret in the middle of somewhere. ❤
This home has a prominent history. It's known as the Wedding Present Farm.
.... it's in New York state .... not too far from New York City .....
@@groofoot It's around 140 miles from NYC, so not really that close.
Yea non of what he said about who lived there was true.
@@sjeanbean Exactly
Amazing how freaking clean the place stayed.. They must not have had a lot of people around to make dust..
I have just happened onto your videos here on TH-cam and I can't begin to tell you how much I enjoy them, and your commentary on them! I have seen some of them from other urban explorers point of view, but you bring a whole new dimension to them, like I am seeing them for the first time!!! Your doc on Lynnewood Hall was fascinating and I hope you'll return and let us know how the restoration is progressing. I wish I could get into urban exploration! And PS: you are very easy on the eyes😍
What a beautiful place.
You are lucky you did not fall in. Listen to Danny, it is too dangerous.
How long are you gonna be in the US and how far down south are you going. Or is this an old video that you filmed before and just released it.
Stay safe always.
Hi Lesley & Danny, Abandoned Mansion in Upstate N.Y. ( must of been 2022 because No Snow Yet there in 2023)
Lesley & Danny... the Fan Blades are curved like that from Summer Heat, for a few Yrs!!
Dining Room @16:00 the style was Japanese too, the Legs of it & the Mirror on top!!
Next Rm, the Baldwin yes is a Good Name Brand here in the States & the Piano Keys are locking up from the Mice & Nest!!
Next Rm...I love the Stove in the Kitchen, @20:21 the Window Above the Door Opens , it`s a Transom Window!!
Basement...Entering it... You Missed the Light Switch, so No Need for Phone to See!!
The 3 Baskets & 3 Baskets on the Floor are Unique @26:34 !!
The Whole Mansion is Gorgeous Outside & Inside except one Rm where the Paint was Chipping!!
Someone Should Buy it, or the Town Officials Should do something Before It gets Ruined!!
I Love the Furniture, Fireplaces, Kitchen Appliances, the Piano & Chandelier in the Garage!!
Thanks Lesley & Danny for this Beautiful Tour of this Mansion!! ❤ Have a Safe Journey to Your Next One!!❤
Have a Wonderful Evening!! ❤ Love Barb from Central Illinois USA❣
He said it was filmed in March. But still could have been March of last year.
Hey Lesley you an Danny are having to much fun in the snow 😆. as always another great explore guys! I’m really enjoying it 👍🏽 keep up the good work!
Such a wonderful video thanks
Their place is beautiful as well as the house, the owner of that place is very rich.A lot of people dream of having such a beautiful house.
I can imagine how happy this house was back then.
In the description it says not so happy things.
Beautiful work and great job ❤️❤️❤️
What a waste of home and property.
BEAUTIFUL! THANK YOU! 💖
Wonderful exploration
This place is in pristine condition. Unreal. Great video
Thanks enjoyed this. Merry xmas
Someone had to be in there before they filmed. Saw no rats or mice at all and it was winter
What a gem. Sad to see it abandoned. Great video guys.
Such a lovely view with the snow.
Great videos you and your crew are awesome
Ite beautifully love window and the white walls. Someone's been taking.care of this property. Love this. Nice big kitchen
Sad how these people were thrown out of their own home just because of someone who lied about them and defame their character! Just pathetic!
They created hate upon these people!
It's quite a sordid hobby for some individuals to create hate narratives. Quite the Internet sensation to dehumanize others. People of no true intelligence, who possess only a devious manifestation of cunning duplicity.
Further info if possible please
This is a beautiful house. Thanks for the video ❤
That is one beautiful house! I adore all the windows and stairs beautiful!
What a beautiful home you found ❤. Awesome tour, thank you for sharing it with me. ♥️🇨🇦
Hi Lesley and Danny
Its so sad to see this huge abandoned home! Hope you enjoyed the snow ❤
Ohh wow, snow ❄️🌨️.. it's soooooo beautiful.. really liked the fireplace on the back porch area n the main staircase is gorgeous.. doesn't look old inside or rundown.. thanks for sharing
Hello bros I love walking with you on your many adventures threw times past , another beautiful home ,thank you
I have to thank you. I'm watching this episode with my parents. You're bringing families together with your beautiful exploration. ❤
Thank you Leslie and Danny!
A great movie, thanks!
"Lets sing a song," No!!!! 😂😂😂😂you guys crack me up
That place didn't quite seem that big, to me. I wanted them to go through the other structures on the property as well.
This is one of my favorites❤
My Nevada home was built in 1963, and there is a powder room (sink & toilet) off the kitchen. Kind of weird, but handy!
In my youth that was the maid's toilet.
Thanks guys ❤
Beautiful video Lesley n Danny. Not much decay. Someone can buy this property n live over there. Beautiful mansion. Just loved it
Nice to see you still or back in the US and very glad to see you now have sponsors.
Leslie and Danny thanks so much for another wonderful video I'm going to watch it again ❤ love you guys
One thing you know for sure is that they wanted that restaurant taste in their food.
Wonderful jobs guys❤❤
Hi!! Good to enjoy another interesting video.
Thank u time to relax to your video
The windows on top of the doors are called tansoms!
great snowball fight)) Thank you very much for the beautiful high-quality video and interesting story) Great) Amazing house . I love you guys! Inspiration and good mood to you)) Lesley, you are our sunshine)❤❤❤
Absolutely love your Videos, myself and my husband are pure addicted, some of them are very sad but so interesting, love the way explain everything about the Family's and the care and perfection you take with each piece, your a pure gent and also Danny, love and Blessings to you, Teresa and Bernie Fox, From Ireland ❤
I really like all your videos very much good and respectable to use of things ❤❤❤❤
a beautiful find
This is very dangerous being out on frozen places
Nesting baskets they are called. In other places you may find "nesting tables". Great tour thank you!
That's it?? I want more..it's such a huge house..
Walking on a "frozen" pool is not only dangerous, but stupid, guys.
If that is an ice pond, walking and running on it can be very dangerous and deadly. Be careful, guys
Ya sure but it's alot harder to walk on a non frozen pool so i don't blame them 😂
Thats a pool cover covered in ice. No way to know if the actual pool water underneith is frozen.
Well, it depends on how long and how hard it is freezing out there. If it is a couple of weeks below zero, there is no problem walking on the ice.
Relaaax!!!
oh yes, I know where that is in NY. Thanks for the tour!
Hola me encantan tus exploraciones demasiado buenas
Baldwin is a famous piano company in the USA. I’m always amazed at the low amount of storage space they have in bathrooms. (I need a BIG vanity).
Beautiful abandoned place WOW
Thank you beautiful place
Thanks!
Kathy thank you soo much for the amazing donation ☺️❤️
Beautiful views
I just found out about your channel and I haven't changed the channel for 2 days.
I do have a question-
When u explore houses/mansions that have thousand of dollars worth of usable, untouched items that can be of benefit to anyone across the United States Do you attempt to convince family to donate- there are so many people in desperate need of the simplest things and 90% of these homes have things that can help them...what do you do or do you do anything?
I SUPER DUPER LOVE YOUR CHANNEL- PLEASE KEEP DOING THIS..THANK YOU❤
It looks like they went away for the weekend, and would be soon back home. Amazing that the place hasn't been trashed. It would not take much to get it back to its former self. The problem with everyone these days, they all think the best place to live is in the crouded cities, were everyone has 3 square inches to live in.
Me ha encantado el vidio. La mansión es maravillosa ❤
Que casa fantástica ❤ e incrível que faz 15 anos e ninguém fez vandalismo, está tudo lindo ainda ❤
