      Retirement isn't going to be good to her. It sounds like she has no money saved up. If she did she wouldn't need to find a job at 57.

      @@rreagan007 I definitely agree, but she is working at this point in the game for the money, not for career fulfillment. It's a j.o.b. She's fulfilled from her hobbies.

    Everybody keeps saying find another job, there's so many places hiring. I've been looking at changing jobs and all the places claiming to be hiring aren't paying much, don't offer any benefits or full time. Just cause these companies are hiring doesn't mean they are good jobs.

  • @stevenporter863

    They laid you off, not fired - difference is you can use them as a reference and who is at fault (laid off is their restructuring or their fault, fired means your fault).

    • @johniii8147

      Few companies use references these days.

    • @unnamedchannel1237
      @unnamedchannel1237 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      yeah often - restructure is a way to easily let people go that you can’t fire. Well atleast in NZ. In saying that if they re-structure and let somebody go they can’t re-create the position and hire somebody else they must off that job back back to the person that got let go. Saying that there could be other legal things the company has to do as well

      @@alp.9672 I have found it very true if we are talking a company itself. All a company can legally say is dates of employment. Now personal references are different story and even any half smart person would never use someone that would say bad things about you. Companies know that so it's rarely that important to the process.

    • @alp.9672

      @@johniii8147 all I’m saying is you can’t say few companies do that these days. it is going to vary with the job/industry but it is for sure still a practice.
