I just realized I neglected to include a character called the Eternal Brain, who once claimed to be an Eternal. I had him in my notes and somehow forgot to put him in the video so I am livid. Anyway, he was probably either lying or was actually a Nephalite.
There's also the fact that Utunaa from The Forgotten is likely Utnapishtim, his friendship with Gilgamesh strengthens this possibility. Pixie is likely Soule the Charred as her powers involve turning things to stone and the word charred means something that is blackened. Likewise, Vampiro is likely Zorrja as the word is a play on the fictional Latino character Zorro. Zorro was the inspiration for Batman and Vampiro just so happens to be an Eternal dressed as a bat luchador.
@@iftekharahmed6799 I totally didn't make the connection that Utunaa could be Utnapishtim but I absolutely believe that now. That makes so much sense. I like the idea of Zorrja being Vampiro's real name, too. Good calls.
Hey MM, your content is well paced, really easy to listen to, informative and very well produced. Keep it up, I can see you easily being able to make a full time living off YT + Patreon. I hope your channel grows even larger man!
This great videos and keep make great videos. This video get two tumb up 😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊👍👍. I enjoy eternal classic comic book version only. Everyone have great night and weekend and next week abd full happiness 😊❤.
Excellent video. I was just looking up the members of the Eternals a few days ago and could not find an inclusive list. This must have taken some exhaustive research to compile.
There are "Eternals" such as the Grom known as Overmind who was from Eyung of the Andromeda galaxy. The Celestial create eternals and deviants all over universe.Even the Skrulls planet had their versions. The Kree unfortunately was a humanoid race that wasn't seeded by the Celestials.
That was so much information I had to watch it why thinking about watching another time but not right this second you did do one hell of a job I love it keep up the good work
Thx i found it interesting as we do not have access to all the Marvel comics in UK and I came across the Eternals at a comic sale (and as big Jack Kirby fan) of 2nd hand USA comics, so I bought up all the first 1- 5 issues but then could not find anymore. I then had my whole collection of over 400 comics dump by my mother who claim she was tidying up.( I has gone on holiday for 2 weeks with school).
I'm pretty sure Oceanus was shown along side a pre cosmic being Chronus in a flashback in Gillen's Eternals series that introduced the 'true' Uranos, aka OPed beast that is Uranos the undying, on a side note is there enough to do an episode on this guy?
11:32 Celestia? You're telling me that there's a city in the Marvel universe called Celestia? Well, I can't possibly think of an obvious joke to make about that.
While Kieron Gillen includes the three other Delphan Brothers as part of the 100, they can’t be. They were created later. Counting all four as one, the total is 103. All of Gillen’s listed Eternals, Eternal Brain, Vampiro, Pixie, Eros and Thanos add up to 102. (Not counting All Records Lost, who is probably Thanos, since Excluded T is NOT Thanos.)
Could "H" in the exclusion be Hyperion? I remember in an old Quasar comic, Makkari helped Hyperion get his sight back with help from Master Elo and confirmed he was an Eternal
You missed Ultimus, introduced in Thor #209 as the Demon Druid later during Operation Galactic Storm he was revealed as a Kree Eternal by the Supreme Intelligence when he/it formed Starforce. Wasn't there also one called Dromedon from Thor Annual #5?
Great job. I'd really like to see what you could do with The Vision. A character I think Marvel has done a poor job developing and yet is one of their most interesting.
I loved how the film, although foregoing the Kirby proto-human origin, did find a way to fit this round peg perfectly into the square hole of the Marvel backdrop. I also liked how Kreuger's Earth X and Austen's The Eternal were used (Celestial seed and Eternals sent to Earth, respectively). The JLA-isms like Kro being essentially AMAZO made me giggle. I love Eternals and spent time on them for my recent DC Marvel Multiverse series. Anyone who makes Eternals content is truly a hero in my book.
As much as the Celestials lied to and manipulated the Eternals in the movie, even erasing their memories, it could easily be revealed that the whole spiel about them being androids created by the Celestials is a big bunch of bullshit. I truly hope the way they handled things in the movie hasn't destroyed the possibility of the Olympian Gods becoming part of the MCU.
@@WarBeasty The film makes room the Olympians, actually. While I still would have preferred the Gaiman book to be adapted, this film was a good take. And they are not androids, more like Replicants.
Can you do history of the Beyonder, Crossfire, Living Laser, Iron Monger, Titanium Man, Crimson Dynamo, Whiplash, Ultimo, Darkhawk, Union Jack, Annihilus, the Badoon and the Broods?
Can you do origin of Wonder Man, the Grim Reaper, Molecule Man, Sentry, Mr Immortal, Captain Universe, Dreadknight, Hypnotia, Blizzard, Starhawk, Flerken, Whirlwind, Chemistro, Whiplash, Ronan the Accuser, Ego the Living Planet, the Living Tribunal and Super_Skrull along with Avenger-X and the Protector?
Can you do origin of the Brood, the Gladiator, Hyperion, Blue_Marvel, Alistair Smythe the Ultimate Spider Slayer, Loxias_Crown AKA Hunger, Quasar, Squirrel_Girl, Ultimus, Kly'bn, Kang the Conqueror, Annihilus and Tryco Slatterus the Champion of the Universe?
If they can't have Children, How there are children of eternal. Are they eternal adopted by eternal or something else. Or they can have children under some conditions? Ps. I can see why there Celestial took there Reproduce part away, Otherwise there whole race Will be unstoppable.
Two Eternals can't have children with one another but they did form family units. So while an Eternal will consider someone their mother and father, it's more of an adopted role than a literal. The only known exception to this is A'lars and Sui-san, who used the Quantum Bands to help them conceive Thanos and Eros. Additionally, Eternals CAN have children with humans or even Deviants but the offspring will not be true Eternals, themselves.
All these people who don't read Eternals comics bitching about changes to some characters. The reality is the Eternals don't sell. They get retconned and reworked all the time in the ongoing effort to make them relevant/profitable. It never works. Never has. You didn't care about them before. Don't start fake caring now.
They way I've seen it phrased is that he was the first and only Eternal to be born with the Deviant Syndrome. A cool idea, to be sure. He's definitely an anomaly.
It's been that way for a while now. Like in the Dr strange comics, the accent one was an elderly Asian man with long white beard but the movie gender swapped him and Valkery from thor was a white woman with blonde hair and the Ragnarok movie turned her black.
I just realized I neglected to include a character called the Eternal Brain, who once claimed to be an Eternal. I had him in my notes and somehow forgot to put him in the video so I am livid.

I concur. IMHO, MM is the definitive historian for the Marvel Universe. Very detailed in presentation. Excelsior and 'Nuff said!
Yeah, he's really entertaining
The Eternal lore in comics are criminally underrated.
but this video is BORING!

Thank you for this video! Been looking gor a list of all the Eternals after seeing the film!
Oh one more thing I would like to hear you do an in-depth presentation of the Nova core
Your videos are such a great resource for future writers of these long-lived and sprawling characters and races like this. I love it!
Thanos technically being human and not actually an alien is so weird to wrap my head around ngl.

Wow you’re my favorite new channel. Wtf you just knew how to make perfect videos and talk in a entertaining way. Great 👍

Loved the nod to Pokémon’s Kalos region while talking about Kalos the Destroyer. (The silhouette used was that of Wikstrom, a character from Pokémon.)
This was excellent, thank you!

I wish i could see your video about squadron supreme i love this group
Are you going to do history of the Deviants and the Celestials in your next video?
A video of the Deviants would be great.
Since you did the History of the Mandarin and Fin_Fang_Foom, can you do history of Ultimo as well as the Shang-Chi villain known as the Death_Dealer?
I would like to see that too I was into Ironfist and Shang Chi.
Yes, that would be cool. I would like that too.

I really had fun playing name the silhouette with the unknown Eternals.
Well now we’ve seen some of the Hex, and Uranos.

The gender change stuff is so stupid along with all the changes they did for a movie that ultimately amounted to nothing
I have never met anyone who reads these comics.
The eternals are pretty boring
Why everyone needs to be a girl? 💅👄 Is Marvel now ruled by LGBT?

The gender swapping doesn't add to the quality of this franchise.
