      Get Onyx Vesper hub on the back, and enjoy tyre sound and animal life 😃 infinate engagement is just a plus.

  • @Malio75
    @Malio75 5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    I’ve got the same black and silver Mallets and they are ROCk solid. Also, hub engagement is way underrated on a mountain bike. I pulled mine apart and, for $40, put in 3 more pawls to make six and tighten up the ratio. That makes a big difference on fast technical stuff when shifting body weight around corners or obstacles and then quickly getting power down to the pedals.

    Nice ride, I have a 2020 trek ex fuel 9.7 on the way ordered it on Monday. Also will be ordering SRAM SRAM xx1 ax’s with the dropper seat post. I am picturing that rainbow cassette and chain up against the Miami green to Teal fade paint. This will be my first full suspension bike for me ever. I have always ridden hard tails. I also a ride road and gravel, so this will be bike number 4. Bikes are 2019 trek Madone SLR project one. 2019 cannondale top stone, 2017 trek Farley. Did my first road race on my Madone two weekends ago. Hope to more competing next year on the fuel and the gravel bike. I really enjoy the channel keep up. Nothing like a new bike day lol.

You guys feature a lot sweet bikes on your channel also very informative as well. Keep up the Good work. 👍🏾

    CBF... that’s why I still have a 2016 Balance. Everything I’ve tried up to now doesn’t ride nearly as good imo. I do have a lot invested in my suspension, combine that with CBF and it’s untouchable. 11-6 in rear, 2016 fox 36 with Push ACS-3 and Avalanche Damper with all the bells and whistles.
    Love that bike by the way.

    Okay now that's a sick bike! And look it - Jeff can shred and ride pretty darn good. Now that I have more understanding of MTB and what I ride, I think my bike is a bit over suspensioned and would go the route that Jeff likes to go, although I still am not on the 29" wheel yet mostly because of my own ability to handle. Would love to hear a compare against the other trail bikes (i.e. Yeti, etc). Revel isn't also as common around here so wonder how service, etc is?

    Great set-up, why change anything, but the tires, when you wanna try the new flavors. Everyone has the parts they really like.
    Personally I wouldn’t build up a rig with less than i30 rims and most likely will be going i35 because I like the way 2.6” tires shape with that combo. Other parts are just really about what I prefer. I’m using the new 4 piston XTR trail brakes and like them but I’m used to Shimano brakes.

  • @Manvswild11
    @Manvswild11 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Hi, Thanks for inspiring me to get a trail bike , your videos helped decide on my frame . I got myself a revel rascal. I was going to do PIKE on it at 140mm, but noticed that Revel is stocking 2023 with Lyrik. Which one would you recommend on the rascal ? I do trail riding , no big jumps . But i am 185lb. Wondering if the new 2023 pike and lyrik have changed to be more mellower to accomodate Zeb in their lineup and hence Lyrik would be more suitable than Pike on Rascal ? I am obviously confused. Could you advice me. Thanks

    Nice bike! How's the fit in comparison to Yeti? I know Jeff normally rides long bikes...
    Speaking of Yeti, what's up with not promoting Yeti's on this channel anymore?;

    • @WorldwideCyclery
      @WorldwideCyclery  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'm riding a large Rascal frame which has a 464 reach and 1220 wheelbase which I'm really happy with. Still longer for me as my height would say but a solid wheelbase for a 130 bike. After that seat tube cutting experiment on that Yeti 4.5 I kind of found the limit on size I'd want for a mid-travel 29'r.
      As for Yeti on this channel. Our goal is not to "promote" anything but rather feature and talk about stuff we're excited about and interested in ourselves. We launched 3 new Yeti videos for all their new bikes a few months back. Since then we haven't had anything new and exciting to talk about from them. But don't worry, we still love Yeti. We love all bikes man 😁
