Been riding a Spur with 120mm front and rear for over a year and it also fits perfectly with the terrain I ride on. It's super light at 12kg while big enough to handle any trail with its slack geo (66° HT angle). I also love the Sid 35mm and the Sidlux even though they look tiny, plenty stiff.
That is one pretty bike! My go-to bike is also 115mm in the back and 11 speed SRAM, but I have an old Fox Talas 120/140 up front. Code brakes too. I also love the Dissector tires and run them on the back of both my mountain bikes. It's also in the 26 lbs range, with lots of carbon.
I've always been a huge downhill guy, and now I've switched to big travel enduro bikes (170-180). Never really ventured to bikes with less travel but planning to build a hardtail soon, also awesome paint job!
Past Jeff sounds like me at the moment. Working in a bike shop just to afford different parts and on occasion, a frame swap😂 Recently did my 2 dream builds, both Fox Factory/XT. My arguably favourite bike, my Stanton Switchback and my full race bike, a mullet Nicolai Saturn 16. 17.6kg of all aluminium, DH casing tyres and an insert in the rear since I've broken multiple carbon products at this point even though I want to save up for carbon Enve wheels
Thanks for the content. If you haven't done a video on tidying up cockpit cables, it looks like yours is heat shrink wrapped?, that would be super cool. 🤟
Here so Jeffs overview about carbon rims after so many years and here he goes with them.. Now is the time for me to get some carbon rims YAY Jeff's Seal Of Approval ✔ ✔ ✔ ✔
Gorgeous Bike Jeff! Do you ride off of Kanan Road in Malibu? Hellacious long hill climb to start the ride part way in.... I use to live off of Lynn Road (Janss and Lynnmere Dr) and could ride almost anywhere around there in the hills. I have ENVE Wheels on my eBike and wondered if Berd Spokes work with Carbon wheels....I guess you answered that one...Take care of that beauty!
It is progressive and often doesn’t need spacers. However, I’d suggest lowering the pressure a lot and using 1 spacer. You might enjoy that plush ride and still almost no bottom out. 🍻
I’d love to have the space, time, and money to do a full custom build, record a video on it, and just nerd out over every small detail. From why I run what bar and stem I run all the way down to spoke choice. This video is just 🤌
Have you considered running Specialized tires? I am finding a Purgatory/Ground Control combo very similar to the Dissector/Rekon combo that you like so much…..only cheaper
Any issues with this frame after long term use? Creaking noises from bearings/seattube etc? Or rocks damaging lower link? I have heard one report about jammed stone which run into seattube...
In a couple of replies Jeff has confirmed the weight at 27lbs with pedals and cage, just wondering if that was the the target weight or did it come in lighter/heavier than you were hoping for?
I’m also building a down country bike (Trek top fuel carbon) I’m unsure weather to go with the Sid ultimate or pike ultimate 130mm I like the weight of the Sid but have read reviews saying they are firm xc racing forks, should I go for the light weight Sid or the more aggressive pike? I liked the part where you said the Sid was plush, hoping I agree
Good question. But in this case lighter pedals would sacrifice too much performance IMO so I just made the Mallet E’s as light as I could with that ti spindle since I prefer that pedal and platform.
What do you think it weighs?
First!, edit: my guess is around 24-25 lbs
22 lbs?
A bit over 11kg. Cool bike too!
I know exactly what it weighs :)
25.7 lbs
14 min straight of just Jeff talking about bikes. This is my wildest fantasy 😈
Worldwide, best customer service from a any bike company I have ever used.
It’s scary how much I’ve learned from just Jeff talking about his setups. Amazing detail, love this content my man!
So happy to hear that. I make these videos in hopes that they help other riders learn and enjoy the sport more 🍻
This was fantastic! Absolutely love hearing about these bikes.
Jeff congrats, another beautiful bike, great crew behind, cheers
Thanks Andres!
Love the colors. Black and blue my all time favorites! 👌
Thanks :)
I love lightweight builds and the downcountry form factor. Got some ideas from your rig. Thanks!
Loving the stained post with clamp attached to it . Absolutely a future goal for the yard and house I don't own yet 😂
Haha 🍻
I prefer racing dirt track cars now that I am 40, but graduating from BMX to MX to old and fat...I respect that!
Jeff my hero! And Revel bike pusher! Love it! Hope everything comes out ok 😅
That is a sick bike man
Jeff use to love Yeti's now he loves Revel. Jeff always get the best stuff.
I love a lot of bikes 😁
@@WorldwideCyclery Huffy is a bike we all love.
I feel you on the 11 speed. I was totally happy with a dialed 11 speed drivetrain last year.
I have those same cranks on my Optic, they are awesome! sweet Ranger build 👍🏼

🚲 it’s a beaut’
Great bike - those Rangers really are fun on most all terrain

11 speed for the win!
Taking Revel bikes to the next level!
Amazing.
Paint looks really good, great setup!
Very Nice!! I like it!
The only thing dreamier than that build is Jeff himself.
Ewww
Yes,hair def on point today!
I’m a hardtail lover 4lyfe but that really is a slick ride
#awesome #livingthedream
Thanks Jason :)
It is a hardtail.. zero bob. Until you need it!!
I've always been a huge downhill guy, and now I've switched to big travel enduro bikes (170-180). Never really ventured to bikes with less travel but planning to build a hardtail soon, also awesome paint job!
dope bike i have had mine for 3 years might get a new one next year
nice paint job
Dream bike. I really like the Revel bikes. Just so much cash. I think around 125mm is great for trail riding.
Jeff… I’m dying to know how much this thing weighs! It’s sick!
Haha sorry to leave it a mystery. It's 27lbs with bottle cage, pedals etc.
It's so gorgous!
EXCELLENT Bike 😎
Thanks ✌️
The Revel Skateboard so good
It’s refreshing to see a build that isn’t a 170mm+ super-enduro-mini-downhill-plowing machine.
I still run an 11sp. Can't say I ever needed another gear
Sweet!
Sweet bike, I wish I had the kind of money that goes into that nice a build
Awesome bike
For drivetrain I would go with microshift Advent, or even AdventX. Really cool bike!

"When I was a Teenager." I saw that flex Jeff. Don't think I didn't. 😂
I learned how to humble brag from the best. From you Joe 😉.
Thanks for the content. If you haven't done a video on tidying up cockpit cables, it looks like yours is heat shrink wrapped?, that would be super cool. 🤟
with the new forekaster out, would you consider running it up front instead of the dissector?
Here so Jeffs overview about carbon rims after so many years and here he goes with them..
Now is the time for me to get some carbon rims YAY
Jeff's Seal Of Approval ✔ ✔ ✔ ✔
Just got a set of E13 TRS Race cranks a couple of weeks ago. Mine came with crankboots. :)
I thought I was the only one who sleeps with my new bikes.
have you thought about running XTR 12sp with the short cage and a 10-45 cassette instead of 11sp XX1?
Jeff is all about that SRAM 11 speed 4 life (on bikes like this at least)
Genial cada detalle 🤩
Needs a custom painted fork! Sick Brah!
Hey Jeff, revel coming out with any new paint schemes for 2023? Might sell the ripmo and get a rascal

Curious about the rubber hose over the rear derailleur cable near the mech. I've seen it before and not sure what the function is. Lemme know
Wow love the bike set up... hahahah answer while on the toilet, everyone doing it.
Do you ever have trouble using all the travel with your sid fork? I find it to be a bit too progressive, but it has no volume spacers in it.

That paint is sexy as hell!
How does the Silverado compare with the SL8 (current saddle on my old SB6 30th that is starting to disintegrate)?
I wonder how much differences it make to have all those top of the line components cost-benefit...
This could be team Estonia's olympic bike :)
Is the Reval Ranger the new Yeti sb4.5 for you Jeff.
Indeed it is! Perfect balance of weight, performance and playfulness. But with dialed in modern geo.
@@WorldwideCyclery now you need to cut the seat tube on an XL.
Sick bike. Jeff, ever consider running tennis grips tape instead of grips?
Beautiful man! But I think you mean you really like Liam to get that brake bleed perfect!😂
Fast Boys

@JeffCayley I'd be interested in hearing feedback on all of the bikes you've built.
Nice short were u bought that
Picked up the XCX Race cranks solely from this video. They're silly light! I really dislike the spindle tensioner though.

Se aprecia a simple vista que esa bicla está muy reforzada en su estructura y componentes, perfecta máquina para el cardio.
💐❄️🇲🇽🚴🎆💔🌄
I love it.
If only we all could have a new, custom MTB every 6 months. Jealous!
What do you think about Bontrager XR4 tires in place of Dissector/Rekon?
Hi! Did you test new forekaster v2 front or rear? Could be better than your combo?
Cheers
I’m not sure how I feel about you saying you’re sitting on the toilet, so feel free to slide in there?!😂
Cool bike Jeff, thanks for the run down.
I think 26lbs, right?
Nailed it!
My Large XX1 AXS is 28 lbs ... fatty ass :((
I have the same stem/bar combo
"You might be wondering why on earth an 11 speed" definitely not, 11 speed cassetes are fine, but up to 42 tooth? Now that's outrageous.
Is this less than 25LBS??
Sexy Beast of a Bike. Love Love my Lone Ranger!
I’m also building a down country bike (Trek top fuel carbon)

130mm Pike Ultimate for sure!
How come can i buy revel frame jz like your frame in asia? Btw i live in malaysia
You missed pointing out your oil slick rotor and calliper mounting bolts!!!
True! The rotor bolts are Ti from Trail One. Caliper bolts are Sram :)
where can i purchase that front fender?
That is a bolt on fender for RockShox SID forks: www.worldwidecyclery.com/products/rockshox-mtb-fork-fender-short-sid-35mm-c1-2021-v2
I feel you should have that awesome custom paint job Protected with a Tailored Ride Wrap Kit #ridewrap
That's cute Jeff. Does your fella also ride?
😂😂
How do you think the BERD wheels would taste, if you put them on the Barbecue and roasted them?
Weight???
hub sound check?
CHEEERSSS
CHEERS!!!
If I had a bike like that I would sleep with it too
What's the weight of the bike?
26 lbs :)
Wish I could do what you guys do, uni is fun tho….
How do you not tell us the weight?! Must be an upcoming video 😈
Haha just to add some spice. It's 27lbs with pedals, bottle etc.
I learn to be snobby from Jeff
Isnt the paintscheme called “estonian flag”?
weight?
He said “I’m 5’8’’ and not tall…” -- well, I’m 4’11’’ so it’s all relative ❤
But would you ride a large frame bike 🚳
That two sides paint job is....
If you wanted it to be light why not get lighter pedals?
Good question. But in this case lighter pedals would sacrifice too much performance IMO so I just made the Mallet E’s as light as I could with that ti spindle since I prefer that pedal and platform.
i was just told today that im not aloud to keep my new bike inside, sadge baby will get cold
