If she fell in the river how come there wasn't slip marks at the side of the river. It also doesn't get deep until the centre of the river and she was apparently a strong swimmer. It was really weird as well that the police didn't keep an open mind about it from the outset and said they didn't think it was suspicious. How did they come to that conclusion? The whole case is still not been explained or investigated properly.

    • @random6809

You don't need slip marks for a trip/fall.
Being a strong swimmer in a heated swimming pool is not the same as falling fully clothed into a freezing cold river and panicking. Strong swimmers drown every day.
The police did keep an open mind, they even stated it. What do you think the 40 detectives were look at, the river?
Yes it has been investigated properly, it is only l00ns online that believe it hasn't.

There have now been 4 women, all similar in age and appearance, all found dead in rivers with their belongings discovered nearby. All were wild swimmers, peri-menopausal, and had been experiencing mental health difficulties. Is no-one else thinking there could be a serial killer around making contact with women online and meeting them at wild swim locations? Someone who is able to easily travel around the country eg in a motorhome... There is something about all these cases that isn't right, and it doesn't seem to be being investigated.

I doubt Nicola would be meeting someone on a work meeting.
I don't think she was ever there. Look at the witness statements. They don't add up. Their original police testimonies place them at the scene at the time she is alleged to have fallen.
Paul is not putting the dog in that morning. the woman alleged to be Nicola is. So Paul drove the kids to school.
Nicolas Fitbit showed walked 08.00 to 08.30 over a mile that morning. She was doing the dog walk then before the children were taken to school.
Who positively identified Nicola in the field that morning. Only a related family setting the scene and ensuring the school was called because they knew she was dead. No calls to friends or family. Very very odd behaviour.

She lost her footing and the dog scrambled back up onto the bank while she slipped into the river at a point where the bank was too steep for a human being to successfully scramble up. Weighed down by clothing, and in a fast flowing river, she went under and drowned and her body was carried downstream. No need to be sorry! Sorry for what? I have four x 15 min video`s that were posted on TH-cam made before she went missing . These videos were a concern in that they followed the exact path Nicola would have taken .Filming from the secret beach and underwater off it ,round the back of the church and inside the empty church and down to the weir ,Following a lone female dog walker off the secret beach to the red brick building . All these video`s had music with titles such as "As you fade away" "Death of me" "Killer" "Fire Extinguisher" and "Beasts" . I reported them to L.P on the 4/2/2023 unfortunately they had changed their titles but I managed to find them and made a hard copy . Soon after they disappeared with no trace . I`m not sure these were ever investigated even though I tried again with L.P but they don`t say if anyone looked at them or not . I was told that if they had been deleted unlike a phone etc there was no way for L.P to view them once deleted off TH-cam. I can not make them public as they will be under copyright .To show a little under fair use doesn`t make a lot of sense either as it would need to be about 10mins of one of the video`s to give them an understanding. So although I`m not saying it wasn`t an accident I would have liked to know if these 4 video`s had been viewed .

There are three key aspects in my mind which have been brushed under the carpet:
1- Springer Spaniel dogs aren't "Bone Dry" when their Mum is drowning in a river
2- Fitbit data shows her heart still beating for 10 minutes after the Coroner recorded time of death
3- Two separate witnesses heard screaming around the time the Coroner recorded time of death from the vicinity she was in
Most likely, she had an altercation with someone unknown around the bench, this caused the increase in Heart Beat recorded by the Fitbit and the skirmish sadly led to her demise around 10-15 minutes later than reported.

    • @random6809
      @random6809 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      1. Why assume that the dog would jump off a vertical drop onto rocks? Why assume that Willow saw her fall in?
      2. No it didn't. Fitbits do not record heart rate for a start. They measure capillary action. They can give false readings when water flows between the sensor and skin. Of course armchair detectives don't bother understanding the technology.
      3. The two witnesses said scream not screams. They also gave different times and said that they thought nothing of them Screams near a Primary school is not unusual.
Your conclusion is based on your ill-informed assumptions. There is no evidence of criminality.

    • @alisonwells6401
      @alisonwells6401 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

The whole conclusion reached by the “Coroner” is based on an assumption formed from Phone and Fitbit data, and that conclusion is she “Accidentally” fell into the water at the same time her recorded Fitbit data showed an increase in Beats Per Minute.
Now I understand some people willingly accept what they are told by authorities, however others like myself would prefer to form our opinions and with the greatest of respect that conclusion is so flawed.
Taking the points individually, there is easily accessible (unless it has been removed) evidence that steps exist down to the water from the area of the bench that Willow could have used, and even if she didn’t spot those (unlikely in my experience of dogs) she could quite easily have run 20 yards up the riverbank where it isn’t as steep.
I don’t own a Springer Spaniel, however I do have another dog that loves water and if his ball is in there and he can’t get in from the immediate locality then I can assure you he’d run the extra few yards to find a way in, and I’d like to think if I was struggling in the water then he wouldn’t stand on the side.
Fitbit data- If the readings that were given after she is reported as having passed are sporadic or false, then don’t you think that given the publicity this case garnered that they would publish the actual data to stop us so called “Armchair Detectives” speculating. Until these are presented then I’m going to assume they show results someone doesn’t want us to see, and in that sense they most likely show normal data consistent with someone still alive.
Screams- These were from two different people in different locations and consistent with the locality she was, they were also consistent with the times the “Fitbit” stopped recording data for Beats Per Minute. Now again call me a “Conspiracy Theorist” but I think most people can distinguish between Adult and Child screams, therefore it’s highly likely they came from Nicola given no-one else has come forward to indicate it was them that was screaming.
To conclude, you may wish to believe the narrative being given however if you put everything together then you are left with expecting to believe the following:
Someone who walks along a river bank daily falls into the water, she drowns despite no record of the thousands of other people who’ve done the same walk suffering the same fate and despite the water being shallow (I accept it was cold and that could have caused it but they body would have been spotted quickly then). Odds against this happening thousands to one.
Then a “Springer Spaniel” doesn’t go into the water to help, odds on that dog being dry hundreds to one.
Then the people who find “Willow” don’t see (or don’t check the water which is very odd as it’s the first place I’d look) and evidence of Nicola in the water despite it only being minutes after her falling into the water. Odds against tens to one.
Then the “Fitbit” which works fine to support the “Coroner” decision mysteriously doesn’t work when it disproves the findings, and again strangely we don’t see the figures that support this view. Again odds against this, tens to one.
Finally, screams are heard which co-incide with the time Fitbit stopped recording Beats Per Minute and are from the locality from which she went missing, instead we are expected to believe these were from schoolchildren as nobody has come forward to indicate it was them.
Now you can believe the narrative given, I don’t so we can agree to differ.

I think those little green ankle boots are the reason the lady went into that river, probably stumbled and fell head first. The shock from falling in and the shock from the freezing cold water, and being dragged down from her clothing, I can quite understand how she never got herself out.

All these people slating the police whereas the police have been proved correct with their initial working hypothesis, that she had gone in the river, a river that has zero visibility. Maybe watch a few documentarys that follow a police investigation into a missing person and you will see the fantastic work they do, if someone else was involved the detectives would have found out

This was not a safe conclusion to this case. They spent a week looking for the body and suddenly, there it is, under their noses. Then there was the middle aged female cop trying to look like a teenager in a Club at the Press conferences. The whole thing stinks to high heaven.

This was so sad.. I think personally the dog was off harness (left on bench) Nicola's phone also laid on bench.. Spaniels love water and are excellent swimmers.. Doggie went in Nicola panicked & tried to get down the banking to him? Slipped & went in. It was freezing water which shocks your body straight away.. Doggie swam & scrambled out. They did not find because the current had swept her into a "half moon" banking with weeds & trees... They should have done but it was all a tragic accident. Police have investigated well & say no foul play from another person. Just a theory but the only one that makes sense. R I P sweetheart, so sorry. God Bless. x

Ok , let's theorise here that she fell and her body was "hidden" in reeds and not detected by military grade sonar equipment. Not only did her body remain hidden but all of her garments, he bobble hat remained on her head, her slip on boots now full of water remained on and undetected for 3 weeks of searching. Then the day after the search is called off, she is miraculously discovered by a member of the public.
      Ok Sure (!)

Surely, had Nicola been in the water for the length of time before she was found, wouldn't her body have shown that by its state? Was she in fact in the water all that time, or perhaps not? How difficult for the family to suffer her loss and the many questions about her sad end. RIP Nicola
