- ABOUT ME
I sold all my belongings to move into a van in the summer of 2022. Vanlife in New England is not easy but I figure it out. I also showcase the heck out of this beautiful part of the USA.

Authentic show! It’s hard vanlife-ing vs coach potatoes. Cool ministry hoodie! New? Loved the carousel! Peace.
Please be careful, it only takes a moment for an accident to happen. Don't push yourself too hard. Thanks for sharing.
Terry is very talented that is impressive. Hope your solar plan really takes you to a new level. You mentioned that you dont watch other van lifers which surprised me. I have learned quite a bit from watching people like you and I thank you for that. Im not sure that there are a whole lot of others that are actually working jobs and van lifing out there. But it is clearly not easy what you are doing and I give you alot of credit for sticking with it. Ive lived in Mass my whole life,59 yrs, and never been to Pittsfield. You put it on my list of upcoming truck cap camping visits👍which is still at least a month out for me with sale and move still going and going and going lol
Terry is hugely talented, if you come to Pittsfield you should check out the Berkshire Carousel! I need an escape from reality in my downtime, I watch space documentaries mostly.
@@undertheradarvan I love space documentaries lol. And TH-cam. And Celtics
That carousel is amazing. I wish them the best of luck.
It's a work of art, should be internationally famous
I am willing to bet that if you didnt have to drive back and forth to Pittsfield or the Berkshires once a week, you would save a bunch of money for yourself. In the winter anyway. Not to mention I believe Eastern Ma is warmer, and less snow. I think the mail thing could be changed very easily, by getting a post office box. I would find a city town where u can park and take the T into Boston for that one day a week.
For crying out loud, your title "Asleep at the Wheel" scared the crap out of me. I'm glad you didn't push it when you're tired. Your decision in the rotary reminds me of Robert Frost; "Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, And sorry I could not travel both".
I wonder what Frost would have written about encountering a rotary while tired

I have been one acquainted with the night." Frost
Great show! 1) I think you get what you pay for in a thermos 2) so the socks are locked up, not the shoplifters! 3)what’s with the periodic table in the bathroom? LOL Peace!
The thermos was a great buy. I suggest putting up a Periodic table in your bathroom, you'll learn. lot!
The carousel segment was interesting. Looking forward to the solar install. Stay warm!
I'm looking forward to the solar setup even more than you!
Great van life video! As always, interesting and enjoyable!
thanks for watching Melissa!
Wow your friend Terri is an amazing artist! Love carousel that’s a cool one. I got dizzy too 😂
She's an amazing artist!
Dude, I like your videos.. In a pinch.. you should consider parking in a metered spot in a city like Medford, MA. Parking is free after 8PM until the next morning and there are no signs that say no overnight parking. Plus it's closer to your work in Boston. You can take the new Green line from Tufts for example. Avoid these long road trips back and forth to western MA until the weather gets better and only drive there because you actually want to enjoy the area.. You may also want to consider becoming a snow bird and staying in Florida from December until May.. maybe get a part time job there during that time or focus on making more daily videos...like I do on my channel.. it can become pretty lucrative if you make daily videos and keep increasing your subscriber base.. just a suggestion.. But keep up the good work. I enjoy watching your videos.
The problem with those is they need coins again at 8AM and typically need to be fed again every two hours. So I would have to get up even earlier than I normally would and find a new spot for the daytime. I am not in my vehicle during daytime, I am either hiking or working or just away from it in general.
Great vid!👍
thanks
Nice video Bro! Be safe out there Peace Out! 😍🙏
thanks
😎
I enjoy your content. Put the maximum amount of solar panels on your roof, you will need that especially in the winter with a low sun.
Yeah going to cram as much up there as possible
We have the same van so I’m super curious about this roof rack. It seems like a great option. I only have 240 of solar… would love like 600.
Once I get the rack installed I'm going to see how many panels I can cram up there. The more the merrier.
It's amazing how busy your days are i don't know how you maintain it all😅
🙋🏼♀️
Vanlife is a dream of mine
Make it so! It's the best thing I ever did.
When you come to a fork in the road, take it.
Do you have a ladder to access the solar panels ? Snow brush and squeegee on a stick too . Hope your ok with heights 😳
I have a ladder in the back
You keep calling Cracker Barrel, Cabela's. Probably because you found out about them around the same time. haha.
Lol, I thought that also! Cabellas is an outdoorsman store.
Why are you wearing your coat in the car. Doesn’t your heater work?
It takes a long time to heat up the interior of a van using just the ford heater.
My man toughing it out there
You drive way too much! Especially for a person living in New England. It worries me. Take it easy.
Yeah I agree.. and driving so much in bad conditions even with good snow tires.. Taking a big risk.
Maybe, but I don't have a house I can plop my car in front of for most hours of the day.
@ also the most expensive part of van life is gas.
@@undertheradarvan good point. I don’t need to go into a 9-5 job and leave my van for that period. That is a challenge.
