I live near Tampa in the burbs of Brandon/Valrico. I would NEVER try to park in the city limits to sleep,,Too much crime.unless around Bayshore Blvd which may be recovering from the flood..I would park in the outskirts like Brandon..I can say from going to one of the local hospitals that anyone could park in the parking garage for free and not be noticed at all... Tampa General charges..You said the hotel you stayed in charged to park? You must be in the downtown or Ybor area pronounced eee-boor.. Many tourists that don't know the area at all could call Tampa's downtown "underwhelming" but anyone that is paying $30.00 to park in a hotel parking lot has to be LOST! oh wait, I just saw you were from New England..nevermind..now I understand..Here in the south we are just more polite I guess! Anyone you encounter on the road that is rude is usually from up north! If you are going to pay money to park at least park in a cool place such as the Skyway Bridge fishing pier. It is made from the approach to the old Skyway Bridge that collapsed many years ago when a cargo ship hit it..the saved part of it and made a cool drive on pier..the breeze and sounds make for a great night sleep...while not designed for this many park and fish all night. To park in the city area or anywhere in the city limits you really have to know the area to be safe. such as Ybor City..( been going to bars and clubs there since 1992) but would never park and sleep there..Be careful with road rage here..we have permitless concealed carry..One of the benefits of this state which are few..Born and raised here but it's time to get out..too many people moving down here, most from the north..darn yankee's haha Oh while you are here in our far hamlet don't miss the Museum of Science and Industry and the Confederate Heritage Museum! Sorry this is all over..

I agree completely about hotels, I hate them, that’s one of the reasons I have my van, I traveled for a year living in hotels for work I couldn’t stand it so I bought a van to travel in, it made work so much better

Obviously, you don't listen to news or heed weather warnings. It seems you know little to nothing about hurricanes. Sorry to be so blunt, but driving your van into the path of a Cat 4 hurricane is a 100% idiot move. Where is your common sense? Have you not seen the videos of the destruction and carnage? It could have turned out VERY badly for you...like...you could be one of the not so lucky ones who met their maker. You complain in most of your videos about other people...maybe you should take a good long look in the mirror and rethink how you're navigating this trip. It's one thing to be spontaneous and adventurous, but it's another thing to be absolutely reckless and stupid. Dude, you are a train wreck waiting to happen. You got very lucky this time. I hope your luck holds out.

Better you stayed along 95 instead of cutting across onto 75 . No doubt a power out trees down situation along the latter . Seeing how many millions were without power I’m surprised it came back on where I am yesterday . This one hit bad all the way from coastal to mountain towns so much destroyed . Many perished and missing as well .

Use your brains mate, those warnings are sent out for a reason - hundreds of people are missing, just dumb.

Hello! I actually worked at Trap Pond and Delaware State Parks for a few years. I love to see my little old park getting some love and attention. If you're interested, those growths you see around the base of the cypress trees are called knees, and act as outriggers in the muddy floor of the pond. Another fun fact, these cypress won't take root in the water, meaning they started growing there before the pond was dammed, or doing one of the dry periods with very low water levels.

As a retired Navy helicopter pilot, the sound of those Sea Hawks (Navy version of the Black Hawks) is music to my ears. Stay safe during the hurricane, or as we Navy squids say, wishing you fair winds and following seas.

Watched enough of that Helleen from my current haunt just south of the Georgia line . Lost power and water straight away and power’s been out since . 3rd one on record ( and the worst by far and wide measure ! ) to cut inland on Florida’s big bend and all 3 happening within 18 months ! To top it off a tornado ripped by way too close for comfort ! 😳Been around these parts thru all 3 and it’s gettin real old !

It’s not the cypress it’s the skunk apes scratching ass on em . 🦍Shouldn’t have any problem find stealth parking in Florida . Most likely plenty doing the same since Helleen’s destruction .

Milford is a safe, cute little town, not sketchy. You could have parked in the Walmart parking lot, at Food Lion, at Planet Fitness next to Aldi, but you found a good spot for good sleep. See my comment on your previous video for other places to sleep and things to do in DE. You really should do more in depth research before traveling to a place so you feel more comfortable. If you think Delaware is sketchy, Virginia Beach is more so IMHO. On your way down to Virginia Beach, stop by Stingrays before you cross over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge tunnel. You can grab breakfast there and they have a cute little gift shop. Trap Pond is a great paddle, glad you went there. Best of luck and have fun as you journey. 🚐💨

Lol! Delaware is a great state! Haven Lake is a fun place to fish. The siren is to alert the volunteer firemen of a fire so they can get to the firehouse and go put out the fire. You can stealth at Cracker Barrel, Lowes, Home Depot downstate, and a couple of Walmarts upstate. An inexpensive place to camp is Redden State Forest, be sure to take the tick spray if hiking in Redden. Great kayaking on the ponds at DE State Parks including Lums and Trap Pond where you'll find one of the most ancient cypress forests in the US. Cape Henlopen State Park is a nice place to visit, nice beach and dunes. Lewes (pronounced Lewis) and Rehoboth are cute towns to visit. You can kayak Canary Creek in Lewes on high tide and see osprey, herons, eagles, etc. You can kayak off of Tower Rd bayside and go along the coast of Delaware National Seashore down to Burton Island. Steer clear of the Indian River Inlet...much too dangerous for kayaking. Visit again so you can enjoy Delaware, "The Small Wonder". :)

when i lived in northern alberta, we would drive thru the walmart parking lot @ 230 or 3 in the morning blaring our horns, waking up all the campers too cheap to get a camp site LOL! Lots of angry people would yell at us, and it was like music to our ears!
