My daughter worked on Six Feet Under with Veronica. The first scene she was in was a funeral scene and Veronica was crying. My daughter was 10 and couldn’t believe how amazing she was. They had to film that scene a few times and Veronica never missed a beat. She was also very sweet and kind to work with. Amazing actress.
She was terrific in The Right Stuff.
I loved her in The Right Stuff and really dug her in Scary Movie 2 in an Exorcist spoof

I absolutely love the fact that Jack Nicholson cited that Veronica Cartwright was the fourth witch. That gives the Witches of Eastwick, a whole new dimension. And makes perfect sense in connection with the book by John Updike, there was a fourth witch, it happened to be the daughter of Clyde and Felicia. Her name was Jenny. And even though the fate of Felicia is somewhat similar in the movie and the book, Jenny is killed by the witches in the book (out of jealousy over Darryl). But I love that it gives Felicia as a character, a lot more depth than just being an unhappy woman-puritan, possibly grappling with her power, and was trying to save humanity. ❤
Even though Veronica Cartwright is a well known, talented working actress, she could at any time carry a movie as lead actress.
She's still so gorgeous.
Veronica Cartwright is a Hollywood journeyman. Classic television, all-time classic films, and the live stage ! And she is still performing. Check out The Field and The Dark Below. She's a true Hollywood legend ! And don't forget her early seventies TV performances in episodes of The Bold Ones: The Lawyers and My Three Sons She should have won best supporting actress for her performance in The Witches of Eastwick. Veronica Cartwright was born the same year as me; I remember her in The Birds, and like many others I watched her sister Angela in both Lost In Space and The Sound Of Music.

Someone here mentioned having to watch “The Birds” again because they didn’t recall her being in it?!! Wow, for me she left an indelible impression! Very good interviewer. He hit on all the important stuff and she comes off so down to earth and affable. Love to have lunch with her!

She has been in so many iconic movies and TV shows. I always laughed at her playing Jacks Mum on Will and Grace. She is naturally funny and should have pursued more comedic roles. I am definitely going to re watch The Birds ... I can't recall her being in it. Thanks for this great interview.
