I have always said that Dee Wallace should had been at least nominated for an Academy Award for her role in Cujo! That fight scene was intense, demanding & awesome!!
As a recently-turned 53 year old (birthday was 6/26) gay, autistic, HIV+ man who has been recently diagnosed with congestive heart failure, as both Dee & Danny both said "the Universe came together" and it did come at the moment in my life I needed to hear more of their stories as growing up "Cujo" is one of the reasons I'm a cat person and never owned a dog (LOL), ET was (until "Sleepless In Seattle" as I had just recently come out as openly gay on September 30th, 1992 at age 21, while active duty in the US Navy stationed across the Puget Sound & I was born/raised in Baltimore, Maryland) my all-time favorite movie, listening to both of them share inspiring moments of their lives helped put a smile on my face. PS - #DeeWallace you officially became my favorite "Hollywood Mom" when you made a guest appearance on my all-time favorite TV show "Ally McBeal" ("Buried Pleasures" & sorry you lost that case though). PSS - Craig you very HOT if I may say so!!!
In my opinion, the film was robbed from receiving some Oscar nominations. I think Dee Wallace should have gotten a Best Actress nomination, as well as for Best Makeup, Cinematography, and Art Direction.
That first director sounds strange! Dee and Danny are both phenomenal in Cujo, amazing how the car siege is condensed into 45 or so tense minutes. So many iconic scenes and jump scares - Cujo at the Pinto window, attacking the car when the phone rings, the big attack scene and Tad’s seizure Dee and Danny speak about here, Bannerman’s death, the final showdown. Flawless performances, cinematography and an atmospheric score.
My mom is a big horror movie fan and when I was a little kid I saw a lot of horror films...she and I saw Cujo when I was about five years old. I guess I got desensitized to all the violence and gore at a young age but Cujo kinda hit a little close to home because we had a family on our block that owned a big St. Bernard who'd often be roaming the streets without a leash or the owners in sight.
Wow, Dee Wallace and Danny Pintauro's stories are so heartwarming and eye-opening. It's amazing how their careers started in such different ways but led them to iconic roles. Their openness about their struggles and how they’ve supported each other is really touching.
Cujo was an incredible movie, and SO hard for me to watch the first time! Both Dee Wallace and Danny Pintauro played the parts perfectly. It seemed very real to me! That's when movies were good.
What a terrific conversation. And so poignant in part. Uplifting, touching and lovely. Craig Bennett has skippered this stunningly. Dee and Danny are true shining stars. 😊😊
I loved hearing about Dee and Danny’s personal experiences and how they’ve remained close over the years. Dee’s story of baking cookies to break into showbiz is so unique, and Danny’s journey through ‘Who’s the Boss’ and his brave fight against HIV is powerful. This interview is a must-watch! 👍
Wow, great interview. Dee gave me goosebumps when she talked about.not letting the bad stuff that happened to you cause you to be less than who you are. Danny is very intelligent.😢
This is such a great interview, more like a really meaningful and revelatory conversation between friends. Danny is just gorgeous and Dee so protective. In this crazy world, to see something with depth and shared love like this is very special. Thank you for being so brilliant at interviewing Craig Bennett ❤❤❤
When I saw Cujo, I thought that surely that kid was actually terrified and must be traumatized. His reactions were just amazing. It's hard for me to fathom how a kid that age could possibly understand a situation like that enough to show the terror that he did. I remember having a conversation with someone about it and he said, "I think they forgot to tell Danny that it wasn't real". Probably the best performance I've ever seen from a child actor. Dee has so many great performances, but this is the first interview I've seen of her. She seems incredibly strong and wise and comes across as an amazing friend.
What an incredible interview! They both look AMAZING! We are actually watching Who’s the Boss reruns at our home on HULU and this interview was such a great treat.
WOW😮 THIS INTERVIEW PERIOD WAS INSPREATIONAL AND DANNY THANK U FOR BEING YOU❤AND NO CHILD ACTOR IN THE HISTORY OF MOVIE MAKING COMPARES TO THE EMOTIONS U YO YOU TOUCHED . Quite simply, and as others have said, a beautiful interview. Loved every second, and wished it had gone on longer. What a great thought to bring two showbiz friends together to reminisce about a role. Loved the Cujo movie. Love to see them on stage or screen together again. Or maybe do a joint book.
1:51 I don't know why I wasn't expecting Craig's quartet of pets to be lizards, but they're beautiful as is he. Thank you for the great photos and the kindness and generosity you show these lovely animals. I'm looking forward to these interviews but had to pause to comment.🦎❤
The gentleman who conducted this interview is FANTASTIC. So prepared, casual, welcoming and asked each thoughtful question and let his interviewees answer without interruption. A real pro. Dee and Danny were just incredible in 'Cujo' and I've always marveled at Danny's performance, considering how young he was. They are both inspiring and I wish Danny the best in his return to acting.
I just have to let you guys know how much I loved this interview. Thank you so much❤ Both Dee and Jonathan were a part of my teen years and later. Stephen King is my favorite author. I remember watching Cujo with my parents and we all loved it‼️Also E.T. my favorite movie of all time.
What a fantastic interview! Donna and Tad absolutely broke my heart in that film (and even more so in the book). Such an intense, brutal story. Young Danny did a very good job in that role. Very convincing in his terror throughout the movie.
What an amazing interview. So touching and real. I love Cujo - both the book and the subsequent movie. How wonderful that Dee Wallace took such a shine to Danny Pintauro, Thanks for posting this. Craig Bennett, you really do shine when talking with these stars.Be great to see Dee and Danny together again on the screen. 🙏
Always love the movie Cujo. There are so few really good movies made from Stephen King novels and Cujo is one of them. Also Dee Wallace is treasure. Danny grew up to be very cute.
Wow, this was such a beautiful and captivating interview. So nice to see that in showbusiness there is a genuine camaraderie between two performers. I hope they work together again. Clearly they adore each other - and that goes beyond their tremendous talents. This interview is why I love this channel.
Dee & Danny, you two are some of the most amazing, real people I've seen from the silver screen. Thank you for sharing yourselves with us in this heartfelt interview. Beautiful!
Oh my, watching this now and loving it so much. What an inspiration they both are! Another moving and amazing interview, Craig! Dee is something special and Danny adorable. Thank you 🙏🌹
What an absolutely heartwarming, pulling on the heartstrings conversation!☺️💜 It was wonderful. I didn’t want it to end.😄 Their bond shows so much in this interview that it feels like they are really mother and son. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. Oh what I’d give to see them in a new movie, again as mother and son. “Fingers & toes”!!☺️
I take every opportunity I can on social media when discussions about alcoholism come up, because so many of us get it wrong. People don’t fail or kill themselves because of alcohol; people who drink heavily and then fail or kill themselves are very deeply troubled people and often very intelligent people who have a hard time dealing with the mundane world and hence turn to alcohol or drugs to self medicate to feel good. They are not bad people. They are not stupid people. They are often times very deep, creative, introspective, intelligent people who are very depressed and turn to alcohol or drugs to self medicate. Drugs and alcohol don’t lead to their downfall or their depression. Quite the contrary, depression often leads to substance abuse.
imo cujo is a warning to not own large mutts thst can be vishious and aggressive anyway wiout havn rabies! too meny mutt attacks to mention from these large mutts and I have cynophobia so it's a fear of and hatred/intolerance of large mutts! great movie though Danny and Dee both had great chemistry as on screen mother/son duo!
Communicating with her late husband shows such strength
Danny's courage in handling his HIV status and helping others is truly commendable. He's a real role model. 🙌
I had no idea Dee started her career baking cookies or that Danny began as a child model. Their resilience and friendship are truly inspiring. 👏
Danny Pintauro's honesty and openness about his life are so refreshing. He's faced so much with grace and strength.
Danny is settling into adulthood quite well. Looking stronger and healthier than ever. Handsome.
OMG........how wonderful to see lovely Dee Wallace after all these years!!! You too, Danny!

It's amazing to see Dee Wallace and Danny Pintauro still so close after all these years! Their behind-the-scenes stories from Cujo are fascinating.
From Cujo to 'Who’s the Boss,' Danny has had quite a journey.
In my opinion, the film was robbed from receiving some Oscar nominations. I think Dee Wallace should have gotten a Best Actress nomination, as well as for Best Makeup, Cinematography, and Art Direction.

Dee Wallace's career and personal life are so inspiring. Baking cookies to showbiz success - what a story! 🍪✨
Wow, I had no idea Danny started as a child catalogue model! Love hearing these personal stories from their careers.

Ugh..you know it’s not going to be good when a story about why someone is late starts with “my 15 yr old dog…” 😔
I'm not used to seeing Dee without blond hair
🤩 🤩
wish I knew about you earlier..
