- Hello and welcome to another Top 15 list. These are some of my favorite quality of life improvement mods that I felt deserve a lot more recognition than they have. No doubt a lot of you already know a few of them, but maybe you'll find some new ones to use. These developers pour hours and hours into them to increase our enjoyment of Arma, often for free, so they deserve some recognition.

Good video's, Viper. They have reinvigorated my interest in ARMA3 and pointed me in the direction of mods I did not know about. When I need a break from DCS, I'm glad I can hop into ARMA and still get some joy out of the lower fidelity flight sim experience. Keep it up. Oh, and congrats on the new baby. I've got two girls...kids will change your life for the better! Semper Fi.

Stumbled across your channel a few weeks ago and it's awesome! I've discovered some great addons because of you and I've been playing since the OFP days!
Same! I miss the amazing days of discovery playing OFP back in 2001. I thought it was unbelievable how big it was.

Awesome video! Other great QOL mod are Zeus Enhanced, and Eden Enhanced. They are really a must when it comes to mission editing and zeusing.

@@Viper1Zero Arma 3 has such a powerfull editor and mods are really pushing it above and beyond. Can't wait to see the video, there are probably a lot of Editing mods that I don't know about :)

Not only is it sunny and green, but there are also acres upon acres of naturally grown cannabis and opium. Imagine the possibilities if there wasn't a never-ending war in that country.

A great little mod that I love (not exactly QoL, but still makes a drastic change) is the MX series retexture. It makes the gun look a LOT better, just by brightening the primary texture and making the lower receiver a faded black. It's definitely worth a look.

I recently started playing Arma 3 and started looking for content creators that showcase this kind of stuff. I'll definitely be checking out a lot of these mods, while I don't think I'm ready to go fully into the Milsim scene cause I already lived it for 2 enlistments, I think this can all add a lot of fun to SP. I've tried a ton of SP scenarios and just needed mods to make everything great.
I hear you there. Still being active duty I gringe a LOT at some of these 15-17 yr olds that are still at home but try to be super tacticool like they have any idea what the military is like. lol There are a lot of arma units out there with primarily vets and older guys though if that's more your scene. They're always looking for mature dudes to run with, so once you feel up to speed give them a look.
The mod that had been listed are the mods I never knew of but always wanted.

I need to get that advanced command mod, as someone who can only really play in single player this’ll make self made operations actually fun, I can already see myself flying a plane or something over the battlefield and acting as overwatch for the troops, playing it more like a top-down combat game than a first person shooter.
I’m positive that at 5:35, the driver totally splatted a friendly AI

hey I'm loving your videos. Can you make one explaining the workings of the F/A-18 E/F with ITC? I Have the basics down but I'm new to this sort of thing and don't understand for example the ins and outs of the TGP.
Nicholas Halvorson have you checked out the manuals for them? You can find google docs and their actually really helpful, i spent like an hour learning the stuff the other day

Nicholas Halvorson Seeing as there are already some guides out there I don’t think I’ll make a full tutorial. Honestly reading those documents helped me figure it out! Just gotta dedicate a little time and do some trial and error.

I love your intro
I would like to mention, the stuff that the Arma 3 Thermal Enhancements team does is great, but it can screw really badly with some of the more indepth mods. Especially the AH-64D (the revised one, not the old Nodunit and Franz A2 Port) and the F/A-18 E/F (Beta and stable) end up with HUD glitches (the HUD area goes opaque on the F/A-18) and even can screw with the weapons and textures on the Apache.
I too have experienced some graphical glitches on MFD screens once exiting the TGP, but it's quick. I haven't seen it screw up more than that yet. It may be you're running TOO many mods, my guess anyway. They get funky when too much is going on.

I do hope Arma 4 is announced and released somewhat soon. I cannot wait for it (although I haven’t played Arma 3 yet, but I desperately want Arma 4)
you should make a list for those mods that are performance enhancing while maintaning visual quality.

Hell yeah man, great vid 🤙🏼 but I’ve been having problems with the Apache mod you mentioned in last video, I’m trying to single player arma and use Zeus to make playable missions but the screens on the Apache do not work when I remote control a pilot? Any suggestions?
I've tried that as well and remote control of AI doesn't work for me either. You have to do the startup sequence on the ground, unfortunately. That or maybe try spawning in the air as playable pilot?

There is a team on IT. Its part of the USAF mods. But its not out yet.

TheCephalus Myself personally, yes. However I love the ground war and a lot of the mods I tend to list apply to ground as well.
Just a FYI for the v-44, if you press t by default, your guns will be ranged for whatever your pointing at, so you don’t need to lead so much with the guns

Great video as ever. Be great if you could checkout the 3CB mods - equipment, units, vehicles. The vehicles especially have some amazing features and customisation options I haven’t seen in many if any at all mods out there.

When I was downloading the vehicles for 3CB it says the flies are missing, do you know how to install that.
Easton Lach go through and left click and press repair. If that doesnt work right click on all the 3cb mods and see if theres depeninces missing if none of that worls dont worry about it

Huh... Those mods for pilots is a lifesaver since I've downloaded ArmA last year and now I'm practicing flying aircraft.

Hi Viper1Zero. First, thank you for great videos and great suggestions. I have been playing the entire ArmA series and this has just opened up my world of ArmA and didnt realise how amazing it has become. So thank you for your video's.
Second I have a warthog hotus system and wanted to ask you for some help if possible. How can i get the H-60 pack to respond to my hotus controls like APU start and ENG 1 then 2 Start? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

So you’ll have to map the HOTAS buttons to custom controls and see what custom control does what on the H-60 mod. I believe they have a list of custom controls somewhere.
@@Viper1Zero Thanks Viper for the quick reply. Just wanted to ask is you AH-64 conflicting with the H-60 dev pack? Ever since I started running the H-60 pack with Hatchet framework I cant use the functions to get the Helicopter started? The H-60 works no problem (after 20 hours of trying to assign my hotus to the controls with no luck) I just use it as is. So back to what I was asking about the AH-64 Project and the H-60 pack, are you having problems with with the function on the AH-60???

For the A3TI- I imagine the explosion/debris seen in the imagery is not the vanilla effects- there is another mod enhancing those explosions?
Your probably never gonna see this but what mod has that UH60 with the what I think is a refueling rod on the end (idk much about arma or aircraft) and what mod made those huge explosions in the thermal imaging mod?
Campaign players after they download Echo's sandbox mod be like: Hehehe you fools i have the wrath of Zeus on my side...

Not a big issue, but I just want to correct how you say ANZACSAS. It's derived from Australia and New Zealand Army Corps (It's own seperate term) and Special Air Service. So it would be ANZAC-S.A.S .

So I am slightly new to modded arma and got a question. To used vehicles addons do you have to make the the mission or is there a way to get them in the base game missions
cody harrison You have to make the mission yourself and input the vehicles using the 3Den Editor, but there are missions out there on the workshop that people have made that use mods, you simply download them and their required mods and launch them under scenarios.

@@codyharrison8612 Ha, I enjoy helping people out. I was there new to everything once too, and the community helped me out a lot. So I get to pay it forward. I sucked when I started out too but slowly but surely finding out what kind of cool things you can do got me motivated to try and make my own missions.

in your top 15 realism mods you said to use blastcore + hopecore well for me they are not working together for example when i shoot gbu 12 bomb there is no effect to the Explosion ... what can i do?
Make sure you don't have any other effects mods running with them

You know there are CFT F-16s in game, right? Specifically there is a Block 50/52+ in game with Firewill's F-16 mod. ;)

I do not. If they are out there, they belong to a unit and are password protected so you'd have to join said unit.
