I've recently come across your channel and I've been enjoying your content. I know you tend to focus on air assets as your main interest but may I suggest looking at antistasi as a change of pace. Persistent campaign as guerrillas working up to full fledged force retaking various maps. It became my go to for arma
Am really impressed, the ARMA 3 addons - are totally different to what I used to play "back in the day", used to play Operation Flashpoint then did each addon campaigns, used to love the Ballsitic Addon Studios packs, they were awesome then, we knew a few ppl who actually got to use VBS1 (we would have loved the extras they got then), though came a little later. I don't get chance to play much ARMA 3 / though have done a little, totally impressed with what's changed, Viper1Zero - you've got some passion for this / look after this wife / has to be a special lady! I'm in awe of what people have done to ARMA 3 / it's totally different (did not like some of the game play / think you've got it covered in teh 15 realism mods, my old crew would have loved to have played the original ARMA then with this level of detail, the reviews show great passion for the game.
Hey Viper, great video man! Just wanted to let you know that if you have ACE3 active, ACE3 actually already had incremental door opening mechanics for awhile. Key binding is hold control + space bar. You should hear an audible click and then use scroll wheel. Alternatively, another shortcut to opening doors quicker instead of scrolling on them is Control + Space bar. The mod would only be needed if ACE3 isn't being used :)
Excellent video, def some mods I will try tonight. Suggestion: how about a top list of mods that fix problems with Arma. One I saw here with the windows, maybe there is one to replace the action menu, or getting stuck in animations while under fire.

To your knowledge has anyone ever done a M777 howitzer? BTW , Great vid!!! could you go back and clarify the Blastcore, Hopecore and warfx. Blastcore has a name change and there are soooo many tweeks to the original its difficult to figure out which works and is compatible and how to get those amazing particle effects. Gotta have those particles and black smoke towers!!! Thx Again!!!

Tip to those that are new to arma, don’t be like I did and find yourself with 59 downloaded mods because you’re addicted to the realism. You’ll find yourself with a computer that could barely run (I had a trash setup at the time) + half the mods cancelled each other out due to compatibility issues.
Hello Viper1Zero ! Thanks for sharing with us the new awesome immersion mods they all are so cool. But the newer vr of "WarFx" is sooo sexy 💓💥 Especially at night it gives that realistic red brown grey color as the smoke rises and burns oil and has now the same or a much better lighting of flame and coocking of a dead material ( like the main blastcore, not the fake yellow of phoenix2 or etc..).. I hope the modder moves on enhancing that cool mod and maybe give more samples of Ground bomb, coz the phoenix2 it had also the nice dust/ sand/ ground material destroy FX. Here I saw via this clip and since a very long time again in my gameplaying an awesome very cool new Ground Bomb explosion with tons of black smoke ( oil ) that now has a realistic velocity / speed of explosion and spreading cool through many mtrs away and through the air ( like in RL) and the cool thing is ,not dropping FPS like blastcore the main or phoenix2. So now I tested many times blastcore with this new one and and I hope it includes and the phoenix 2 dust/ ground color and as another sample that enormous terrifying black oil explosion smoke that slowly slowly turns in to grey and light grey and then follows a great dust fog in the area nearby ! The other samples especially at night needs fixing, but at least this new sample of new vr. explosion is so so nice!! Oh I almost forget : It has the most Realistic even from vanilla sample of coocking smoke and visual screen animation. I hope this great guy moves on enhancing the power of this mod, its really something that turns my interest back in the game ☺️
The "Incremental door mod" is unneeded. Arma 3 already has incremental door opening. I forgot the keybind but it's something to do with the scrollwheel, and it's much more accurate than that. (I believe it's Ctrl + Scrollwheel)
Be carful with the headlamps mod we ran some tests on our dedicated server and in mp the mod simply just doesn’t work the lights source lags behind the player when moving left or right but for single player the mod is awesome.
FXP is great but there is one major issue... Smoke grenades looks weird af. Like, if you throw a red smoke, the color of the smoke will be white with some kind of small red clouds. So, yeah, for explosions it is quite nice but you cant run it on a milsim server bc of that 1 issue. It just brings all the realism down
Does anyone know why Ace doesn't allow me to load saved games? I don't want to restart the entire scenario after a death, it always gives me a grey screen when I try to load a checkpoint.
I have some AMAZING mods you should consider: #1 AI MODS: The COMBINATION of the following: 1. Tactical Combat Link (Makes the AI impressively more tactical) 2. Lambs Danger.fsm (Improves the AI reactions to combat) 3. CF_BAI (This one is a GEM! You can customize AI spotting distance and detection chance) 4. Lambs RPG more (Makes the AI fire more RPG's. Shait accuracy but VERY immersive) If you set up these mods correctly the AI will be so human like that it's creepy. TCL will make the AI effectively bound from cover to cover, suppress, call reinforcement, support, share info and perform different type of flanking manoeuvres on your ass. It requires some tweaking, but when done you I promise your ARMA will never be the same. Lambs Danger.fsm makes the AI respond effectively to incoming fire by taking cover etc CF_BAI alllows you to make the AI engage at distances up to 2k meters based on whether the AI has optics, hear gunshots etc. Further you can tweak visibility based on stance, amount of cover and much more. The most impressive feature is the suppression feature where the AI will become more accurate the longer he suppresses you! This means that you can NOT peak out from the same cover twice. If you move, he's accuracy will be reset again. Of course this works if you suppress the AI as well. He will become increasingly inaccurate, reload slower, have less knowledge about you and so on: Lambs RPG more will simply make the AI send some HE rounds your direction: Not very accurate fire for balancing purposes, but it it surely makes you sharp. These mods completely outclasses VCOM and ASR by a far stretch!
Whats a good mod that allows you to use flashlight and laser pointer at the same time. And also have you heard anything about advanced laser designator on armaholic for me it a good mod but can't get it to work

I don't like the way explosions get animated by modders as being so symmetrical in fashion, specifically with objects that are thrown. Each object should have a different drag coefficient, so each should arc through the air a random distance at a random speed. The best explosions I have seen in a video game were in Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfare 2, I think. The minigun mission from the helicopter. The explosions shed these beautiful crowns of sparks.

Incremental door opening can be done with Ace enabled. Simply aproach a door and hold left ctrl + space bar and use your mouse wheel
Not everyone uses ACE, which is why I included that mod in this video.

I honestly didn't see that effect with smoke in my games, so that is kind of a bummer. There's always blastcore!
Does anyone know why Ace doesn't allow me to load saved games? I don't want to restart the entire scenario after a death, it always gives me a grey screen when I try to load a checkpoint.
I have some AMAZING mods you should consider:
#1 AI MODS:
The COMBINATION of the following:
1. Tactical Combat Link (Makes the AI impressively more tactical)
2. Lambs Danger.fsm (Improves the AI reactions to combat)
3. CF_BAI (This one is a GEM! You can customize AI spotting distance and detection chance)
4. Lambs RPG more (Makes the AI fire more RPG's. Shait accuracy but VERY immersive)
If you set up these mods correctly the AI will be so human like that it's creepy.
TCL will make the AI effectively bound from cover to cover, suppress, call reinforcement, support, share info and perform different type of flanking manoeuvres on your ass.
It requires some tweaking, but when done you I promise your ARMA will never be the same.
Lambs Danger.fsm makes the AI respond effectively to incoming fire by taking cover etc
CF_BAI alllows you to make the AI engage at distances up to 2k meters based on whether the AI has optics, hear gunshots etc.
Further you can tweak visibility based on stance, amount of cover and much more.
The most impressive feature is the suppression feature where the AI will become more accurate the longer he suppresses you!
This means that you can NOT peak out from the same cover twice. If you move, he's accuracy will be reset again.
Of course this works if you suppress the AI as well. He will become increasingly inaccurate, reload slower, have less knowledge about you and so on:
Lambs RPG more will simply make the AI send some HE rounds your direction: Not very accurate fire for balancing purposes, but it it surely makes you sharp.
These mods completely outclasses VCOM and ASR by a far stretch!
Whats a good mod that allows you to use flashlight and laser pointer at the same time. And also have you heard anything about advanced laser designator on armaholic for me it a good mod but can't get it to work
So which is preferred for most folks: ArmaFXP or blastcore/Hopecore?

ACE has the incremental door option in it by default. I have this option and I don't run the mod you recommended. Just so you're aware.
A lot of people don't run ACE like you do, which is why I included the mod.

The server has to allow clientside mods. Most official servers don’t.
I don't like the way explosions get animated by modders as being so symmetrical in fashion, specifically with objects that are thrown. Each object should have a different drag coefficient, so each should arc through the air a random distance at a random speed. The best explosions I have seen in a video game were in Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfare 2, I think. The minigun mission from the helicopter. The explosions shed these beautiful crowns of sparks.
