You are leading a revolution for me, since I have started watching your channel I have 1. Increased my weekly mileage from about 10 miles to 35 this week. 2. Increased the frequency of my running from 2-3 days a week to 7 days a week 3. Switched to a vegetarian diet and dropped my body fat percentage from 22% to 16% and feel so much healthier You have definitely changed my life for the better brother!
Dang! More and more evidence that Yowana is the GOAT! No one reviews more shoes with actual runs. These lil boys out here reviewing shoes they haven’t even ran in. Drives me crazy 🤪 This man is giving us real running based reviews and I love ❤️ that! 😎🤩
Something about the way you make your videos just makes it so relatable. It’s like listening to a close friend being in his element. Another fantastic real experience review! BANG!
@@MedicineRunner lmao bro you gotta pull up in the prime x strung next time for that continental rubber 😂 you'll be delivering the thickest babies in town
Haven't run in the Bondi series, but your description of the Bondi 9 as the "super trainer companion to the Mach 6" (which I love) has me sold! Thanks for another banger first run review! Btw, always notice this but forget to mention - the syncing of the music to video cuts is elite! So aesthetically pleasing! 👏
OMG let's go! Very surprised you already have this for review! So hyped for this. 🔥🔥🔥 love the colorway! Hope i can get a pair myself in this colorway soon
This was my experience with an Athletic subscription too lol. A couple of awesome hits, but way more absolute misses. Still doing it way better than just about anyone else.
Didnt see this one coming at all. I am probably in the minority but the 8 worked for me. When i was injured i couldnt deal with bouncy shoes. The 8 had the stability and protection to get me moving again. They took a long time to break in but they became much softer over time just no bounce. Now that im recovered I am back into full shoe rotation. Yes i plan on grabbing these for sure.
I had the Bondi 7 in wide and, yes, it was a total brick for a 130 lb. guy but, also, the "bucket seat" fit of the shoe put uncomfortable pressure on my outer metatarsals. It was recommended to me by a co-worker who said it was super soft and comfortable but he was about 220 lbs. :) The Empire Stacks Back? I'm glad to see you making a positive pitch for the value of the Supwell app. That community needs to continue to grow to keep that value. Please don't get distracted by the online trolls. There will always be trolls but I think it is generally better to ignore them. Trolls are like graffitti; just give them no daylight for their satisfaction. I used to have an auto body shop and, if I got graffitti, I would paint over it right away at 0700. That way, the taggers would never have the satisfaction of seeing their markings; kind of made it not worth it.
The problem with custom insoles, is the geometry of many shoes wont accept a custom insole. The brands in part do it on purpose as the insole is part of the overall intended design, but they often want to upsell their own insoles that work specifically with their shoes. Another problem is the individual geometry of the footbeds. Some are wider/narrow than others, in the fore or mid or rear, etc., angled sidewalls can affect them, and so much more. Also, the barefoot thing isn't just about strong feet, it makes your entire lower body stronger, including tendons. Wearing barefoot shoes when Im not doing anything athletic made my legs stronger when I run in my max cushion gang shoes
Insole is a great idea! The Hurricane ortholite insole is so lovely I often move it to some of my firmer shoes. It's a 6mm, works great with the Hurricane, a 5mm might work better with some of the other shoes. It creates a bit of instability in some of the other shoes I've tried it in and there is not enough room in shoes like the Brooks Glycerin 21:) Count me in for testing!
I still have the original Bondi B from 2011 I believe. I think they also re released it last year or something. There was some magic in that first version maybe less outsole to make it softer feeling but lacking durability. Hoka definitely revolutionized the game with the high stack revolution. But yeah I also had older versions of Bondi that just seemed too firm for me. I avoided Hoka for a long time after their early models until this year with their awesome releases like skyward x, Cielo x and my personal favorite the Mach X2. I also love my Puma Magmax a lot as a max cushion option. Working at hospitals and having a nurse common law partner they seem to love the Bondi walking on their feet all day. Hopefully the new Bondi works well for them too. 😊
Hi! Im searching for a pair of shoes for my threshold and tempo runs at about 3.40’ - 4’ per km. Preferably with a smooth plate or without plate and good cushioning. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance!
Regarding insoles, TPEE might be the new PEBA. Endorphin Elite 2 and Norda 005 are using TPEE. Maybe something to look into if you're serious about them.
Depends on preference! Skyflow is firmer, lighter and faster while the bondi is more cushioned, softer and has a more relaxed vibe. Both are great so comes down to what you want in a daily shoe. In the standard width bondi also has a roomier fit
@ thanks! I’m heavier runner (250 lbs) and I love Skyward X for long runs. I’m thinking about replacing invincible 3 with Skyflow for daily runs and trainings on treadmill
my girl got the previous model, but she said its the worst running shoe ever she bought or get recommended by a store ever.. thats why she never go to HOKA again xD
I enjoy your extensive videos and reviews, even the occasional banter. It is very over the top though and your “normal” voice way more pleasant to listen to. So if you don’t mind the feedback, I’d appreciate toning it down a little bit. Keep up the good work and mileage revolution. Much appreciation from Germany

Phenomenal.
That is so awesome to hear - thank you for sharing that progress 🙌🏽 incredible growth. Congrats on the hard work 💪🏽

Your sayings crack me up, thank you for bringing us motivation and some comedy! Can’t wait to try these next year!
Woke up at 3am to get this 4mi run in. These BANGAs come in at the perfect time!
💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
The running commentary from minute 35 onwards is first class. Spit my coffee out a few times

Watched most of this video on silent with captions because I was working a 14 hour shift in labor and delivery over night.
BANG
My guy Lance consistently putting in that work 🙌🏽💪🏽 btw how many bondis did you see on that 14 hour shift?
@ 3 🤣 the resident docs all wear OOFOS clogs though I think bc of the non-slip component. We be in blood and doo doo all night.

@@supwell 😆actually my go-to has been Ultraboost 5X 😤

Excited for the comparison video with the other max cushioned gang! Namely the hurricane 24, more v5, and the glycerin max. 🔥
🍻🍺Thanks for introducing us to Athletic! We are happy subscribers to their products. The hop waters from Athletic are fun too. 🍺🍻

Gonna need that Hobby Jogger™️ 1/4 zip ASAP!!! Clean!!!

We need a Yowana and David Goggins team-up to put in the ultra miles.

Another banger of a review in the books
It’s the 'she loves me cus she heard I got a big….stack on my feets 🗣️9s'…..🤣
Did you get the clifton 10 to review? I'm actually looking forward to that. I'm probably the only one, but the changes to the fit sounds great!
Wasn't available to test yet but I'll def get it as soon as it's available

i saw the thumbnail and prepared myself mentally for the hard "BOND-aiye" for an hour. lol
😂😂😂
I hope you got a second pair…Xmas gift for the Bondi brothers….😂😂😂
🤣

How’s the midfoot in these? V8 has a weird arch poking sensation that I couldn’t deal with. Hope it’s not there for v9!
No weirdness at all with the fit - comfortable all around and didn't notice any pressure points, poking etc
Well said Yowana: No tucker carlsons, laura ingrahams, sean hannity energies in the hobby jogger community. BANG!
Paul Revere welcome BANG! 😂
Lets get it!!
Bibimbap is FIRE
"stackfished" 🤣😂
Man is really the MCG Don
I love max cushion shoes.. for walk or slowrun
Fantastic! What’s the launch date?
January 15th.
Doest it remind you the puma magmax ?
I didn’t know people still wore the Bondi to run in. Every person I see wear the Bondi is a walker, good looking out.
Whats your BBM Pin?
Is Bondi 9 better than skyflow for daily runs?
Depends on preference! Skyflow is firmer, lighter and faster while the bondi is more cushioned, softer and has a more relaxed vibe. Both are great so comes down to what you want in a daily shoe. In the standard width bondi also has a roomier fit

Friends don’t let friends run in Bondis 😀
Champion x Hobby Jogger quarter zip is an automatic cop.
We need to take stacktion against the millimetres😆😆😆😆
Bondi 7 was a banger. Bondi 8 was fine.
Pull up in the: they dont know me son😂
I am holding off the super max max zebra shoe gang from commenting
😂😂😂
I got a Korean baby mama so i know all about bibambap its probaly my fav dish
Don’t let em stackfish you bossman
The arch got on my nerves in the 8. Felt like stepping into a brick with a tennis ball in the arch.
Why didn’t you say “bada boom bada bang bada Bondiiii”?? I was expecting you to say something like that.
Try out the magnify nitro
Yeeeee let’s go
Aye tell em keep the barefoot mafias off my stacks
my girl got the previous model, but she said its the worst running shoe ever she bought or get recommended by a store ever.. thats why she never go to HOKA again xD
Have to say - seems like Hoka's weight QC is among the worst. My pair or Mach 6 are quite a ways off too.
43:10 😭😭😭😭 the southern impression has me WEAK
Atomic Warhead beer?
Yes that was it! Dude I was wracking my brain for the past 2 days 😂
"Max & Cheese 🧀" colorway
dont wanna get stack-fished hahahah
first cushion gang
Narrow toebox 😢
Not in this model. It was comfortable for me and might be the widest toebox in the Hoka line - a lot more forgiving than the Skyflow
Is Jay Z guilty?
