I have a Diverge without the rear STR component. I love the headset shock. It is so much more comfortable than a pure rigid. I ride 50/50 road / gravel … I opted away from the STR bc not needed for my use as I usually ride 25-40 miles on my rides. But if I were riding over 50 miles on gravel consistently I would have gone with an STR.
Correct, Pro riders often go for smaller frames in order to get more aerodynamic on the bike. Also many aerobars are angled these days, allowing the rider to get into the "praying mantis" position. This way then can tuck their head more behind their arms. I hope I was helpful :)

It's high time they allowed marathon runners to compete using zimmer frames on wheels so they can bend down and be more aerodynamic. Running marathons is just too easy and comfortable at the moment. Sure, the people winning the races of the future might not be such talented runners but that is a small price to pay so that spectators can watch the athletes suffering a bit more.
Evenepoel is an extraordinary rider, he just didn’t perform well in this TT. Literally nobody ever performs at their highest level in every single race

Hi to me the arm elbow rests on the aerobars look really high when compared to past years. Is this because the base bar maybe lower ? Thanks.

Control of the front wheel. If they had two discs it would be impossible to control them and would make it super dangerous in high winds.
