try using it in the correct direction / spinning / if at the top of the decal while moving to the bottom of the decal ? with the drill rotating clockwise against the decal is when it works like it should , rotating like it is lifting the decal up from the surface and not pulling it ! your welcome
Sweet I didnt know about these. Im Restoring a 86 Mazda B2000 Old School Slammer Mini due to a Midlife Crisis 😎. This is what I needed for those Pesky Ugly Side Decals that extend the entire length of the Truck. Thanks A Bunch 👍👊🍻
If the decal comes off easily best to use a heat gun, warm up the decal and pull it off, for the harder decals use a eraser wheel and once you get better with it you’ll have no problem. DO NOT use on plastic parts.
@@dsruddell Definitely, I would not recommend on a dually panel, you could gouge it easily, I would use a heat gun , but be careful with that also, just enough to peel it off.
I do this for a living and this is absolutely not how to remove vinyl from cars. Heat it up with a special commercial steamer or a heat gun or a hair dryer. Then use a plastic razor blade that you can find at the auto parts store to start peeling the corner of the vinyl.
The wheel works great ! However.......try following up directly afterwards with spraying WD-40 and scrubbing it firmly........takes everything off.... and brings out the true new color !

Heat it with a hair dryer for a minute, start peeling a corner then heat the decal ahead of the next bit to be removed as you pull it off. Faster.
Michael Bradish I have used this method as well. The only thing is it usually leaves the sticky residue and the eraser wheels removes everything.
Hair dryer works best
but leaves the glue on the car !! pain in the ass
So is it best to use a heat gun and then go behind it with the eraser wheel to remove the adhesive/glue?
@@vanessabooth3066 heat gun not a hair dryer
Thanks! I going to remove my old decals from my 87’ b2200.
Thanks for watching.

This is perfect for that. I used it on a Miata with vinyl pinstripes and it only took minutes to remove.
I’m with you I want to remove my from my 87’ b2200. Debating between the heat gun or the rubber eraser.

so probably not good to use that wheel on plastic dually fender stickers?

Started doing this last night, the stuff on my bumpers is to brittle for heat. Any other suggestions?
Have had one of these for years. We call them toffee wheels in the UK.

DanTheManIOM Lol. You do have to be careful not to burn through the paint.
Love the white on white Saleens
An_Auto _Addiction thank you and I have to agree with you. I sold the car and bought it back just because it’s such a looker. Thank you again.
Good on older decals
Thanks, I got the same one.
It really works great.
Yep, they are awesome I have one too
Black Thunder I had no idea what I was missing. It made a job, that would have taken me hours, complete in minutes.
John Engel oh yeah nice vid
Next video “how to hold a drill” stay tuned
That’s a great idea. Don’t want to hurt your wrist. Lmao.
Will is remove decal off autoglass? Was this Oracle decal?
It will.
From the manufacturer manual: NOT FOR USE ON LACQUER COATINGS
Good to know.
Where do I order the rubber wheel?
@@gerardomontoni2866 amzn.to/37GmCxs
Take it off of hammer drill setting already
That would be very smart. Lol.
Does it work with decal shadows? Have a decommissioned police vehicle decalshadows were removed but shadows on the rear remain
Not that I am aware of. That would need to be polished.
Would this work on oem motorcycle rim decals?
I do. Best thing ever.
Exacto knife ? your going to nick the paint ?
As long as you are carful you won’t.
I bought this after watching your video, this wheel did nothing on my oem decals- complete waste
I hate to hear that. Send it back.
I saw this done on Wheeler Dealer and wanted to try it out myself, where did you purchase the disk at ?

Would a drill with 500 rpm work?

Yeah had a feeling. Prob will buy a better one. Thanks
