I love how Ceaser get smarter in every installment. In the first movie he only said 4 words. Now he's speaking in full blown paragraphs. Looks great!
Agreed. I think it's really symbolic to his character development throughout this trilogy.
He was actually just as smart by the end of the first movie. It's just that other than humans, most apes don't have the requisite vocal structure to speak easily. The past few years have more like improved his understanding of how to form words using a vocal structure not built for it.
To what extent do you think the ape characters will be able to vocalize complex sentences in this film? Koba, and still to some extent, Caesar were very rudimentary in their level of speech. You think Caesar and the others will speak with the same level of sophistication as the human leads from Rise and Dawn? Or will most of the heavy lifting be done by Caesar alone? In the third trailer for Dawn, Cornelia speaks with the same level of broken dialogue as Koba and Bright Eyes from Dawn, so the dialogue exchange between her and Caesar comes across as very one sided, with Caesar sounding like the adult.

Judging from all the trailers ; I'd say it looks like the rest of the apes will be joining in on the sophistication in terms of speech. If you pay close enough attention to one of the trailers, it's looks as though Maurice has developed a capacity for speech much like Caesar ; and it sounds great.
One of the best, most well written, well acted and well shot big blockbuster movies are about talking apes who duel wield machine guns on horseback.
It's funny and sad if you think about it.

The academy really needs to give Andy Serkis a best actor nomination, he's given some of the best performances of the past 20 years but because it's motion capture they look down upon it.

I really like how this trilogy has not been dragged out longer then it should have and how each movie feels important and can stand on its own without having to watch the other ones. Very well written, crazy how it started as a cute chimp that just gets put in a cage and basically takes over the world.
He doesnt take over the world though. He just protected his forest and family. The flu that eradicated humans wasn't his fault.

I remember watching the last movie in the theater..once the ending credits starting rolling the audience(myself included) started clapping. That's how good it was. I can't wait to see the final installment.

When Cesar said "NO!" for the first time in Rise, the whole crowd in my theater went silent. Then a couple seconds later about 4 different people went "Oh. Shit.". Best cinematic moment of my life.

Same! I'm excited because for Reeves, story and characters come first. That's what Snyder kinda lacks. Reeves doesn't make your typical blockbusters. Dawn was outstanding and if this comes close to that, it'll be one of the best trilogies ever made!

I really am starting to think that this will be the best movie of 2017. Thank God Matt his headed over to Direct The Batman over at WB. I wish all DC movies released trailers with this tone, and with this kind of seriousness. Hate how the tables have turned and almost everyone tries to be like Disney and the MCU. At first I didn't want to watch this trilogy, after the start I realised how amazing it is story and character wise, our attachments to the apes just shows our inner kindness. It's a nice feeling.

Kong: Skull Island was the imitation Apocalypse Now; War for the Planet of the Apes is the real deal. Between this and Logan, 20th Century Fox is on top of the game, and dare I say still extremely underrated. Disney's factory style product of films may have the public captivated for now but I think everyone's starting to wake up and see the potential Hollywood can still harness--and I genuinely believe that this film will be the catalyst that brings it all together and wakes people up.

Gives such a background and depth to the Apes. I remember seeing the original movies and thinking how much I disliked the apes thinking “a few of them are good” when watching these I’m completely on their side like yeeeeaah we needed to go 😒🤣
You do realize what these movies lead to right, eventually we become their slaves, that's what the original movies set thousands of years in the future shows.

I am shocked that this movie series isn't on Imax. This deserves to be on Imax. The experience, the dialogue, it's breathtaking. I wish we had more movies with this variety of seriousness than spoon feeding movies.
