  • Are you getting uneven cuts with your plotter? The fix may be simpler than you think. Run your finger across the Teflon strip that runs along your plotter. If you feel bumps or imperfections, you have found your trouble spot. Take a hard card to massage out the inconsistencies. If you need to go a step further, use your heat gun to soften the glue then use your hard card to eliminate the trouble spots.

Thank You for Your Time and Help with this matter, I just didn't understand why I could get great Cuts in some Heat Transfer Vinyl and yet get skipped cut areas in others.
This sure helps give me more things to check other than just blade depth.
Have a great day and Thanks Again!!

Thanks for the video I'll try those methods. My plotter is cheaper but works great despite this problem.

Loved this video so much! What if your font is perfect on your program but when it cuts (for instance Times New Roman) we know is straight sides on a lowercase W but when it cuts out on the vinyl its wavy . I need some serious help with this. I have orders stacking up and my font isn't behaving correctly on my material. HELP!

I'm not an expert on this topic but I would check the resolution in your software and make sure it is the same on the x and y axis. If you have different values for x and y axis, you could be having that problem.
