The best dialogue I remember was:
Protag: Don't you have a bunch of voices in your head telling you different things?
    Kim: No...?
Conceptualization: His conceptualization must not be very high...

In defense of harry, what he actually says is more like “don’t you Ever talk to yourself sometimes” which is a much more reasonable thing to expect from a person lol

Great video. I feel like I resonate with Shivers the most. My first run was truly revelatory - I was finally able to describe the feeling I got during my midnight strolls in the post communist, post industrial city I live in now (and the one I grew up in and eventually left). It was Shivers, my subconscious, physical connection with the city

A little bit of extra information about the Pale, for those who are curious: Although most people believe that the Pale couldn't be traversed before the invention of pale latitude compressors, there were people, doing it, by land. The boiaderos (cowboys) were one of those who knew how to do it. The equivalent of Ancient Greeks (I can't remember the name given to them in the game) knew how to navigate it as well.
It's also described as an accumulation of memories and events.

Hey Son, great video as always. I remember finding and playing this during a dark rut, and while the story of Harrier Du Bois is soul crushing it was also wonderful being able to honestly try to get his life together, even if what we can do as him would only be the first steps towards that happier life for him. Man, I haven't seen your review yet, but I was never able to describe the genius of this game. I'm not into art, I don't feel anything watching a painting or a statue, but playing this game I was feeling the touch of art so deep I was flabbergasted. Masterpiece, can't pick another word
Update: I've watched a bit, the first "oh, I get it now" moment was when you've said it was an art group who created this game, the second - when you've said about Russian books(I am a Russian, so this may be a reason why the themes of this game were so close to me)

Disco is also available on Switch. That's where I played it and I found it super fun. "No one wants to fuckin read." I ended up playing it by mostly reading. Yeah, Final was the version on switch but I spend a lot of time with the sound off on my switch because I like to go with my own ambient background music when playing handheld most of the time. But the voice acting is fantastic so I found myself turning on that sound for a lot of the major story stuff.
Also, whoop! You got a sponsor! Nice. Movin on up, Son!

This was an odd gaming experience for me for many reasons... the top of the list, or at least the moment that sticks out most clearly for me was when Harrier wanted blow, and I did a bump of my own while rejecting his, as he's a better man than that. Stuck with me, and it's not even a designed feature... this game is too good.
*edit... I'd wager that's a ruminating idea still unlocking in my thought cabinet.. and that was over a year ago.

Love me some Disco Elysium vid (yes, I'm rewatching, I like to do it for my fav titles). I have one nitpick though, YOU HAVEN'T PLAYED DISCO ELYSIUM if you didn't start with at least 4 Inland Empire to make your necktie talk as a second companion and to easily talk with the dead body in our IMAGINATION! I mean, really, the most weird, obscure and ominous lore and investigation facts are uncovered by Psyche skills + high Shivers, you learn a lot of things that you shouldn't know. For me the most canon Harry is a mentally ill, drugged out Harry with some Twin Peaks sprinkled in, and to make it happen it's the best to play with high Psyche and Physique, and sure, we can play Intellect + Motorics Sherlock type, but Harry that doesn't hear voices, doesn't believe in supranatural, and doesn't talk to his tie and the spirit of the city isn't REAL.

Key members of the Disco Elysium development team, including lead designer Robert Kurvitz, have reportedly left ZA/UM. The fate of the franchise is very unclear now.

After finishing the game, I can confidently say.....everyone needs a Cuno in their life. Cuno is Best Boy. Is Cuno will run the Night City.

This game hits you differently if you are struggeling with an addiction. I felt so lost when I had to report that I lost my badge and my gun and the cops were laughing at me.

Just one note son, '€' is Euros; '£' is Pounds. Otherwise, I'm very proud of you.
Disco Elysium is one of my very favourite games of recent years, narratively and conceptually. The only other games that make me feel anything similar to it are the Sunless Sea and Sunless Sky games by Failbetter Games. I am waiting with bated breath for their next game, Mask of the Rose, to be released next spring.

Big brain move: mute video is alt tab and go play the game but you still get the view. THEN come back and watch it for real 😎

I got about 20 minutes into the video to the part where you realize the gun is missing and I bought the game. I've been on the fence for a while, but It seems so interesting and unique.

Just because a background skill check succeeds, doesn't mean that information is correct or even remotely useful. Which to me was a source of massive enjoyment for the game. You present them as being pass/fail = right/wrong, but I really don't think that's the case.
