I like all the Grozer base bows I've tried so far. Bashkir, Roman, and Turkish. The quality of the materials and workmanship is good, and the performance better than you would expect from solid glass limbs. A good starter bow, and not a bad place to stay if you like it. I've outshot people w modern recurves and longbows at 3D matches with my base bows. None of my G4 Bashkirs (I've had 3; just ordered two more based on this review) had horn tips, so I painted them black to look like yours. They did have a cross-grain hardwood plug for reinforcement. He calls it Bashkir, but it looks more Magyar/Hungarian. Bashkirs live in Russia. Russian 'Bashkir lancer-archers made it all the way to Paris in 1814. At that time they were using the later Ottoman/Tartar type bow.
I've wondered how his base bows perform, quite nice! And for the price not to bad! I tried to order a base Tartar from him a while ago but he said he isn't making it anymore to bad I think they would sell well now! Fiberglass has gotten better now than ever. Thanks for another great review I love these reviews on beginners bows so we can get more people into traditional archery! Thank you Armin!
Cannot wait for the hungarian of middle ages bow review. I only saw 1 of the other vid on that bow on youtube of someone shooting it. It supposedly Grozer modern rendition of hungarian with some performance improving desgin
I plan on getting a Hun bow at some point, but me being me, I wanna get it from someone from that region. So I've been rewatching a lot of your Grozer videos and now a new one. Big hype. Update on my next bow, my Kheshig should be here by Friday barring any delays. Super hyped. Thank you Armin for showing off that bow so much, I otherwise would have never known about it or Alibow. It's my second bow from Alibow. Looks like this bow shoot beautifully, Grozer is a master of his craft, and you display his craft like a true artist of archery. Great video Armin.
From the reading I managed to do on forums, they used to be 32" recommended but then a lot of failures in his older bows started to happen to the recommendation went down to 31" and there doesn't seem to have been as many issues anymore.
Great review of an appealing fiberglass bow! My first 2 commercial bows are 2 Grózer Base: Hungarian and Scythian (followed by biocomposite and laminated Grózer bows). Both are impressive for fiberglass bows. The Hungarian Base has surprizingly low hand shock, despite being 65 at 28 and shooting with about 530 grain arrows. Of course, these bows are not speed demons, but very pleasing to shoot with.
Interesting I've noticed that the "made in hungary" siyahs are more rectangular than the "made in china" hungarian bows. Are they more historical to be rectangular?
Yes in my country we have a standard what the original Hungarian bow looked like, that they found in graves. Size sometimes changes shorter or longer but the shape always the same. The siyas usually pretty long and rectangular in shape.
Grozers Mongolian base bow was my first "horsebow". Unfortunately I didn't do my research and got it as a 65# draw. Still can't shoot it thumb draw but, is enjoyable with a 3 finger draw nonetheless.
Well, I’m glad I could watch the video, but I’ll have to drool over the bow as quietly as possible otherwise I may wake up my parents. (It’s 00:33 here in South Africa so I’m being kind of naughty, but I am okay with a little less sleep as long as I can watch Mister Hirmer!)😂🤪😅
Hello Armin. I love your videos. For the speed tests, what if you just go 3 steps back with the mashin, so your arrows dont hit that hard on close impact..
Armin, at the cookie part, I thought I'd pee ....I laughed like that. I had to pause the video for a minute, Master. 10 points, great video! "which is late- no pass away"
Amazing that the vibrations are so short. But then again Grozer is an awesome bow builder. Shame about the cake, though 😁 Maybe you can add an extra chategory for that x factor of a bow. Like decorations and looks 😂
Man.. I really like this one... Just wish I knew what poundage I would want... I'm a fairly tall guy. With a wide chest... I like that this bow can go to 100lbs. And I just don't know what I want. Or what my body wants
It's beautiful. My next bow. Forgive me, I'm new to this type of bow but I noticed you're using your index finger as a rest instead of the thumb. Did I miss a video?
In the past you have always added "its good for a fiberglass bow" for fiberglass bows, but never it's poor for a composite ... I feel that this is just a good bow ... the material its made from doesn't really matter. i seem to remember, much more expensive, composite bows performing less well. A well crafted bow will perform despite what the materials are... I like this one ... good length, looks great and powerful too ... and at that price ... a bargain.
That bow is just to long for my taste. My reflex deflex longbow is 54 inches. I am not hating on the design and I am new to horse bows. To me a short Turkish is my preference. Tatar would be my second choice. Arif Budiman sent me a message yesterday that my tiny bows were ready. 33 inches strung might be to short but, I like a challenge!
Smart move by Grozer, dipping His toes into the shallow end where most Archers begin the sport.
Great review thanks Armi.
i really appreciate the close ups at the start! really helps me decide if id buy it or not

That's a better rating system Armin perfect video as usual 👏🇮🇪

I've owned a few bows in my life, but only two have a special place in my heart. My Grozer Bashkir and the longbow my father made before he died.
Another Professional Review. to be a basic hungarian bow It is super beautiful and it looks fun for every day. 🤩

I don't own one, but as far as I know, Grozer's Turkish Base model has a good reputation too.

@@magyararcher7478 do you have links? i would like to do some research thanks
Удивительно видеть что лук использует башкирскую основу 👍
What would the fps be of the 100lb version? Heaviest I ever had was a 120lb Longbow, would be interesting to see how they compare.
As long as grain per pound in arrow weight same is, not a big difference
Amazing looking bow. Great video. Cheers, Armin.👍😎🇨🇦🏹
Thank you for showing your groups! Are your targets at 10, 20 and 30 meters? Did the arrow break due to Robin Hooding, or from fishtailing?
Yes 10, 20 and 30. Fishtailing, too weak spined

who has generally better quality, şimşek or grozer?
Armin, where can I find a "thumb ring" like this?! Looks great
From a fried but he has no time right now to make some
Ok.. I'm loving the look of this bow.. hope it's not to expensive. I want it
Very nice bow. I personally shoot a hungarian bow and love how they shoot
How can I order it

Armin, why don't you do the speed test over a larger distance? Save the arrows!
Pure laziness :)
Hello Armin. I love your videos. For the speed tests, what if you just go 3 steps back with the mashin, so your arrows dont hit that hard on close impact..
I know then i have to walk so far :)
@@ArminHirmer Or have the hay bales a few meters further away from your velocity gun. Those poor beautiful wooden arrows :'-(
It seems like the laminated or wood ones are a bit more expensive... But for me.. it kicks.. and u can have a strong poundage
Nice bow! Looking forward for the turkish bows comparison.

Buy a cheep 25 pound bow. See how it feels.

Sometimes like this sometimes like that :)
I wonder if you can get a "bashkir" from Bashkiria, Russian Federation. But I think this bow is a nice copy.
I wish
Set nice
Does Grozer already make Base Bows again?
Last time I asked him about a base turk he said he won't make some anymore -.-
Yes
Really? I got one delivered just a few days ago!
:Yep, really.
It was some months ago. Thats why I am a bit pissed off on him now.
But well, I bought the Teksek II from Numair instead and I am very happy with it.
Its very close toi the original hungarian design.... or whatever design was most popular in that time period :-)

and one of my favourite bows is the fiberglass Qinghai by Alibow. A beast of a bow that I've had for just over a year.
Simply as I had many bad experiences with fiberglass bows and I am still surprised sometimes
Nice review! I like this one. Still, that Hun of the Middle Ages! 😃 🙇🏻♂️🙏🏼🫵🏹
awesome he must of read my comments :) 10/10 haha
this bow seems really nice but I can't buy another one, i already got a bow from Grozer this year
This year or 2020 haha

@@ArminHirmer I will sir!
I want cake too!
Not bad just wish they could dress them up a bit in the whipping area.
170 euros.. that's like 210 dollars or so
Sr. Why not review Good Hunting Bow? If you shoot them with trees fingers it is more accurate.
If somebody will send me one, i will
What's a "good hunting bow" in your opinion? Because ALL bow designs were used for hunting and would work fine. It's about the archer not the bow
A silent recurve I guess with shelf and string silencers
The cake is a lie.
Armin are you ok, looks like you have been in a car crash, or fallen over or something?
I look always like this
