- This is a video of a site visit I recently went on in South Carolina. The project is a small renovation to parts of this shopping center. I hope you enjoy the video! 🤓

Awesome video man! We use z-purlins on majority of the multi-story storage buildings we design/ erect so I found it interesting how you mentioned you only really see them in PEMBs in your industry.
Thanks man! I can’t believe I forgot but at my first structural internship, the engineer’s specialty was storage unit buildings!
I never worked on any of those project but you’re right that they’re not exclusive to PEMBs.
the structure look structurally sound, you have not checked the foundations, and concrete walls strength.. also in my opinion, ( you can introduce UC columns from the ground to support the proposed floor, considering that the building need staircase and other services
Beautiful video. Be careful on working at height, falling object dust, small cut on fingers when inspecting buildings like that… wearing PPE is necessary and gives you more professionalism.
Thanks for the recommendation! I will definitely work on making it a habit to wear PPE on site visits regardless on how small they are👍
I work for a civil engineering consultancy and I could get into a lot of trouble for standing on a partition wall like that! This is a massive safety hazard!
Hello brother I would like to talk to you. I graduated last year in civil engineering
I'm confused as to what you were actually inspecting here..
