Agreed. Short of buying anything directly from the manufacturer, everything is bought from a reseller. I mean c'mon, when I buy wood I'm buying only what I need from a hardware store, not the distributor or the wholesale lumber yard who can't be bothered by small retail sales. If any of my customers want me to spend hours tagging hundreds of items then I'd suggest going on Ebay with the price already listed and paying triple for it. Then wait 1 to 3 weeks for it to come. Now at a yard sale the people who are reselling actually name the price so you were giving them what they want or they would not sell it to you ....so it's their decision to sell it for that price no matter whether you're a reseller or an individual.....(the good thing is because you are a buyer at a reseller's yard sale you are increasing your profit and usually the person selling it is losing value so the reseller that is buying at a yard sale or wherever is actually the smarter person in the situation...lol... Lol if her increasing the price actually made you agreeing to paying more, then clearly she actually helped the girl, since you were apparently willing to pay more money on it. Don't get salty lol.

She didn’t just want you to pay more she wanted her neighbor (a young ignorant person) to get more and not be ripped off , should have done it prior to the sale …

Tbh I hate resellers too. I encourage owners to price there things so that if someone who really wants it finds it then they’re getting a good deal but high enough so that it wouldn’t really be worth it to a reseller

My sister when she did yard sales priced items to be reasonable but some jerks didn't like it. Then there was the ones that showed up at the end of the sale hoping for a bargain

If you get in one of those neighborhoods where you just keep running into dead ends and you can't seem to find your way out and all the lawns are mowed prim and proper and everyone has that dull boring look on their face look out.....there are sure to be a wild pack of Karens nearby.....

It really pisses me off when people come along with “”I hate resellers…..”” why??? The person selling the stuff in the first place has the exact same right to sell it on eBay and get more money!!! Or advertise it privately and get more money!!!! They choose to go for a quick and easy sale on their driveway or garden………I am in the uk and we have ‘boot fairs’ where you turn up in a field in your car loaded up to the full capacity usually with your son or daughter squashed in between the junk we are selling….(child not for sale)…..Unload and sell our treasures that have been stored in our sheds or lofts for 6 years!!!! Buy it from me for a £1 and sell it for £20…..good on ya……

Middle men raise prices on everything for everybody.

@@ifmbm332b They aren't raising prices if that is the price people are willing to pay for it. They are bringing the items to a larger audience. They are selling the items for what they are actually worth.

I hate resellers too. They buy everything without even knowing what it is. And they don't even get to sell everything they buy. Because lots of it they are asking way too much

I would have done the same thing as the neighbour and tell her to ask for more, the girl sounded young but you thought that would work to your advantage
