I’ve been trying to catch a Barramundi around Rockhampton on soft plastics, and have come to the opinion they don’t work in this area. Only live bait works for that area

Got into the Barra at the mouth of Crooked Ck in the MCarther River down from King Ash Bay one year 6 of us got our Limit in a few hours all over 12 to 18 lbs or 6 to 8 kg the area was near same as your fishing They were only in 4+metres of water any shallower they weren't there beautiful conditioned fish
