- Hey, this video is an update on Silver Wolf's guide! She is a debuffing maniac who excels in single target damage amping. She has various different uses and can even completely change how you build teams! I think she's still an awesome support even if Pela can do great as a replacement in some teams. I go through her relic updates, new planar ornaments, as well as complete new synergies her release guides couldn't talk about, like Blade, Kafka, Fu Xuan, and more! I'll give her a 50/50, I think I can live without her but I have the pieces for monowind memes and it'll also make it easier for me to consider committing Pela to Penacony for Jingliu (as I'm too lazy to swap planars on a team-to-team basis). The hard part would be finding a new LC for Pela, assuming I move tutorial to SW...

has been saving this whole patch for her rerun and was conflicted about skipping her for Ruan Mei, but SW skipped me once so i’m getting her this time! hopefully i save enough for Ruan Mei too
Man new players took a massive hit with her thanks to not having the event LC, hopefully as the game ages and we get more LC's we'll get something just as good someday.
Eyes of prey gives same EHR, just missing a few energy, not that bad.
@@Crazmuss it is that bad, the strong part of the event LC is the insane energy it provides, without it you'll take 4 turns to get your ult up unless you spam skill, makes SW a lot weaker.

@@CrazmussIt’s terrible, the issue was never the EHR which you can get from gear but the energy. If no energy, Resolution is much better than eyes among the 4* cones
@@KahezLol not at all. Even at E0 you don’t take 4 turns. Just build her with speed. Her ult duration is 3 turns. But it’s 3 turn of the enemy, so if your silver wolf has speed, you can reapply the debuff when it disappears… Y’all struggle at this game because all of ur units have no speed.
Tutorial mission is just HSR's version of Festering Desire, a great weapon (LC) that was given for free at S5 (E5) in a very early game event (1.2 and 1.1) and is great for a variety of supports.
FD got good like a month ago, before that it was quite useless. A better example will be Cinnabar spindle, as it's Albedo's BiS since it's release and you can't do anything about it now.

That's actually an excellent comparison, because Albedo is obsolete now, just like Silver Wolf.
SW was good when she was first released, but as you pull more dps characters, it becomes very easy to cover all the different elemental weaknesses.

@@gonnabestupidbutactuallyno8295 Cinnabar Spindle is only good on a singular character and outright completely useless on every sword that isn't Albedo, Tutorial is top 3 LC for every nihility debuffer. That's a terrible example.
Honkai much worse.. how event lightcone can outcompete signature lightcone.. moreover it just too flexible.. for basically most nihilitity unit. Pretty hard for this tutorial mission to be obsolete anytime soon.. and one of bis for pela.. easy to build.. reso is gud but gacha and need more pela investment. And sub dps pela arguably weaker with reso because ehr mandatory relic.
Albedo cinnabar spindle case.. u can pretty much said.. till this time.. only albedo can benefit from it.. and pretty much i dont see people using him anyway.
My favorite part about Silver Wolf is that she can just get tired of talking to you and teleport you away from her.
She can just banish you, and I think that’s funny.

@@marcocartaerainnocente7374 If you paid attention during the tutorial, you’ll know that SW teleported a Voidranger (Reaver, I think?) away. So, it follows that she’s able to teleport anyone or anything anywhere she wants to.
@@marcocartaerainnocente7374he mastered "aether editing", basically she can edit reality (im sure there are limits)
In tutorial you can see her teleported a void ranger that attack kafka from behind, it also implied that she was the one who bring the void rangers here (yes, including doomsday beast)
In 1.1 she left sticker traps on herta station, the traps are stickers that contains void rangers (remove stickers and void rangers teleport behind you)

Thanks for the updated guide! I have some friends who started playing on PS5 who are planning to get SW, and all the info on LCs that came out during 1.1 was just "use tutorial" so I'm glad you go over that for new players! I've had a lot of fun with pairing SW with Himeko for more breaks and faster FUAs. Because of her bugs and her def shred on ult, and my pela being unbuilt she can also be run as a skill point generator flex slot as well. This makes her extra nice for overworld/main story teams
I love updated guides. Naturally, so much changed since launch.
Silver wolf is actually a game changer for me. When you have a limited number of dps units, her weakness implant and debuffs are a godsent
that's the thing, for new players or players that still have a small numbef of dps, she IS the best unit you can get, but she gets slightly worse the more and more your account develops and you start to not need her element weakness applier. She's still amazing tho
@@SinMissils agree, the more your acc progressed the more you wanna some buffer or sustain unit. which is.... not make SW weaker but there is more preferable choise. Like Huo Huo, or Fu Xuan. especially with the AoE content that will get update between that and MoC. AoE Shreeder or energy shared buffer more preffered
@@Kindi001 Still depends if the aoe packs will get heavy elites now and again. I think having a balanced team would still be fairly good... Erudtion/Destruction + Hunt + SW/Harmony - Sustain.
I lowkey think Erudtion with a Destructon will be really good, or if you hypercarry I guess. Hypercarry / SW / Harmony / Sustain is likely always going to be good
Im currently sitting in the boat where getting more Harmony units and building them and using Silverwolf is the better play than getting more DPS units to build... Building DPS units is hard (Im still new, what do I know) but comparing it to a support where you almost exclusively only care about the main roll of an item... Get an Orb with HP? We good, rest of the stats dont matter. Meanwhile a DPS needs proper main stat and at least 2 more to roll good and then get upgraded on top else dead item.
In the very long run, I do agree that Silverwolf may lose value but .... does that not apply to every hero? Eventually a Jingliu 2.0 and DH IL 2.0 will come and then "they are made useless" apart from that they are not, they are still good just that you have better options.
I see people clear 1.5 MoC 10 with only 4* units, so at the end of the day people should pull what they like, Silver Wolf has a laser sword so I'm going for her and Ruan Mei cos she'll be my first real harmony unit (alongside Hanya and Asta and Asta is already my girl #1)
I am very sad I can not get Argenti (I love the petal knight type in asian games), Silverwolf and Ruan Mei but hey, it is what it is. I'm new to the game and we'll get more heroes and more re-runs so I guess in the grand scheme its all good :)
TL:DR
I consider supporty units the better choice with fewer well built DPS; than having many "meh" DPS to wing it with. You'll always have 1 DPS that can tackle one side if you spread your initial DPS out and the other - silver wolf is on the job!
@@SinMissilsIt works both ways. Having more options means better SW utilization. Ruan Mei would push her capability for Ice teams for example. However, having more options also means you're likely to use a different team of 4 that won't require SW's unique mechanic and global shred.
@@SinMissilsfor ppl who like turbo invested in broken eidolon instead of building multiple dps SW value is still the top. We not sure how a mid dps will perform in MoC 12 so SW is still a safe investment for any hard future content
Seeing this new SW guide makes me wanna max all my SW traces ngl.. she has always been helping me pass through any content, never regret gotten her.

I pulled SW on release, no regrets at all. Even if shes sometimes not the "optimal" support, she can still fit in most teams, nice flexibility. And shes really fun imo - theres some decision making with managing debuff timer, toughness break management, etc.

As a person who got her in 1.1, she is still one of the best supports who carried me through most of the early to mid game content (even in the end game, she still saving my ass)

she's good if ur trying to rush moc, but i really don't think she is worth it at this point, eventually either you'll get a dps for every element, or dps powercreep gets so cracked that they don't even need elemental advantage anymore (ex.jingliu, e2 IL). using those dps, ur better off using units that synergize with them more so they can obliterate anything, elem adv or not. Overall, weakness implant is not as valuable in endgame as it used to be, synergy is more valued now.
@@joaquinchua3348you should stop comparing everything to Jingliu and DHIL. That is where the problem lies nowadays. All people care about are high numbers and 0 cycles. This way , no dps will be good if they cant compete with Jingliu and DHIL
@@ninjaraccoon9914 hey man i'm just telling the hard truth, and going by the track record of the other honkai game, the powercreep is only going to get worse from here. Also even in a world where jingliu/il doesn't exist, the same thing applies, her value will continuously diminish the more dps of various elements you have built making her good only in the early game, also her single target nature just drags her down, her ult is just a single target pela ult and her auto debuffs values are too low to compete with the value provided by a harmony unit like tingyun/bronya or even the new ruan mei, and she's supposed to take their slot? I have SW myself and have consistently cleared moc 10 since 1.1, while she was useful back when i only had seele and jing. She just doesn't perform now that I've built a ton more unit.

I will definitely be pulling her as a late comer in the game, like i did we Seele.
I will also do the same when Kafka comes out for her rerun as well.
I've had her since she came out, and she's saved my team's butt numerous times. Now however, my best DPS is Jingliu and I just got E3 Pela, so I don't normally have a place for her in single team runs. If I pulled another copy, that could be interesting, but I doubt I will.

As someone who has been using the thief set on silverwolf since she first dropped, glad some more people are talking about it. I built her for everything -- debuffing, dmg and break and she's a gem of a character. It does require quite a bit of time and luck to invest into everything though.

I like that she lets me play whoever i want without having to type match particularly when i build a new unit like I finally started building my welt and being able to use her to force Imaginary is nice, I just wish I could use Yukong effectively in that team so i could have a 50/50 or 100% chance of putting imaginary on quantum weak enemies.

I have her in E0 with the event lightcone and with the DPS build, with attack rope and crit balance, I haven't had any problems with the MoC, I like that those ultimates do good damage, after all that also adds up

Went for her banner, came out with E6 Lynx, E5 Asta, and E5 Hanya, and an E4 Himeko. Now just contemplating on whether to abandon completely or keep at it. But super thanks for the updated guide, Guoba.
Watching this video made me want to revisit my Silver Wolf build! At first I was doing a hybrid sub dps with decent crits on her. I have now updated her to be a break sub dps and heres what I have

I am using 4 pc Quantum and 2 pc Pelacony since I mainly use her in Mono Quantum. If I am going to use her in non mono quantum, I'll probably just swap Pelacony with Vonwacq or just don't swap it.

SW was my first 5* limited character (and my first banner lost too to Bronya lol). She helped me carry my early game since I only have Himeko and Sushang as my dps. That's why I agree that she's a great unit for new players. I used her as a support with 4pc Quantum set for bit of personal dmg, Resolute LC (Tutorial is inseparable now on my Pela), and Fleet set. She's best on bosses but now that the game design leans to more enemies, Pela has more usage than SW. Overall she's a solid unit if you want her debuffs and I don't regret I got her.

Wish the penacony set had a weaker buff for different dmg type chars... Unless they add some kind of equip preset feature its a bit annoying to swap stuff around based on team comp
Same reason I'd not bother farm new planetary due to need same element to trigger 2nd effect
You can still get a two turn ult with silver wolf (skill -> basic attack) at e1 with the new penacony set + energy regen rope.

I think she's typically that kind of character that was a must pull before, but who would be currently one among other comfy options as an offensive support.
With all the new supports we're going to get soon, and Bronya being available for everyone soon (since most people playing from the start should be around 300 perma pulls in around 2 months I think), she just doesn't have that niche that makes her a must pull.
She has some very good utility, but so do Tingyun and Pela. So, yeah, you need supports for 2 teams, but for people pulling for Ruan Mei soon, and having Bronya, Pela and Tingyun are way enough.
So I think it's just a matter of "do you want to play always the same main DPS whatever the enemy, or do you want to change?". If it's the former, then SW is a must pull. Otherwise, she's not.
I got her in 1.1 and still use her all the time with Seele. Recently found great use for her in Swarm when I play Numby + Svarog. The idea is to get Fire or Physical weakness on first boss and then SW can provide the other one on final boss ^_^
Tempted to pull for eidolons, even just E1 for now. However, the decision will most likely be taken close to end of banner when I will know more about upcoming characters and where I stand resource-wise.
Great vid as always! I wanted her but I don't have her best lightcone and I spent many resources trying to get Gwen lol. I hate 4* no guarantee. Got Topaz E1 trying for Gwen lmao and sitting at 74 pity after smh ... it was brutal. I think I will get Dr. Ratio instead for Topaz and save after until a 5* DOT unit comes for Kafka. Jingliu/Bronya/ Pela are working great for me and Topaz/Kafka are fun!
SW is my favourite character so I'll be pulling all I can! It's a shame it's not possible for me to own Tutorial, but hopefully if all goes well it won't hamper me too much by reaching E2S1 anyway. Looking forward to playing Topaz & Wolfie! Thanks for the videos as always.

I will say Topaz and SW will both synergize extremely well when single target damage becomes more applicable. Rn blast is the meta (2-3 enemies) 4 or more and 2 or less are just so non existent when it comes to end game but I def see that changing eventually
I hope this is something that continues. Considering SW was my first limited character I learned more than I expected. Now I know rainbow set is fine since she literally has no set 😂
Woah, I didnt know her ER.rotation was that good at E1. Was lucky and got her E1, so I guess I'll give Pela Tutorial and SW can be with Resolution.

My terrible luck during her launch only got me E0S1, but now I'm back with a vengeance!
She's allowed my Seele to consistently dominate one side of every single MoC reset since 1.1, and that has allowed me to ignore the majority of limited 5*s since then. So I feel fully justified paying her back with at least an E2 upgrade. I have so many subDPS pieces just waiting to be used, and I'll be shooting for that 2-turn ult Penacony+E1 breakpoint.
But most importantly, the Bronyaverse! ᗜ ‸ ᗜ
They surely have to put the event lc in moc for ps5 new players (I am coping so hard)

After hearing about quantum set changes, I went and immediately changed my set on SW, though gotta upgrade it with time.
Gonna try and grab 2 eidolons for Silver Wolf so that I can turn her into a DPS.
One team i'm excited about is DPS Silver Wolf, Seele, Fu Xuan, and Ruan Mei. Seele can hit around 75% res pen, Silver Wolf's DPS should be pretty good thanks to Ruan Mei, and Ruan Mei's break shenanigans will be relevant in every fight thanks to Silver Wolf.
E0 crit Silver Wolf chad here, this guide can't change my build because I can't read!

update: before your guide, i was struggling to 3 star floor 10 of the current MoC, but once i built Silver Wolf properly, i was able to clear with just 20 cycles left! thank you guoba!

Thanks for the update! I think i might put my e0 sw back on thief. Even after farming for jing liu and getting usable pieces for qq, i still dont have better quantum ehr+speed+break subs. Gonna split tb power between qq traces and su w8 now.

IMPORTANT: For people without Tutorial Mission, a Quid Pro Quo team comp allows her to get back her burst in 3 turns with skill-auto-auto. You can set up a team to guarantee one person to get back the energy.
Ah biscuits...my main sustain units are all preservation (Fu xuan and Geppie) lol
If you want to go full Tankerwolf/Support Silverwolf. The Def Belobog set ain't a Bad Option Eiether. Cuz You could actually get the extra Def from it and SW Needs 50%+ EFH ie: 97% at E0 and still above 50% at E2 (Though E2 and After it'd be more about DPS SW on top of Support SW) but It ain't a bad set for Debuffers cuz their EFH Needs synergize well with that set if you want Extra Defense for Free.
SW is a very good investment at the start like genuinely. Getting her allowed easy clears for MoC letting me get my Jades allowing me to get more characters

I've saved up a lot just for her, i'm ignoring the last days of houhou (pretty satisfied with bailu), and i need that GOOD debuffer option on my team. The three main "bad guys" (Sw, kafka and blade) are also pretty interesting characters story wise...so i'm excited for their reruns as well 😁
@@Kraugelll oh dont get me wrong, houhou's skillset is really good, but right now i'm doing pretty good with what i got (Jingliu is pretty op, seele is insane and bailu's healing is really good). I know there are better supports, but right now i prefer a debuffer like SW as i don't have one that good XD.

I've been saving for Screwllum or Luocha Rerun ever since I spend like +200 Pulls on Fu Xuan. Standing close to +90 Pulls, I'm tempted to get her...
Her Lightcone would enable my Welt, but eh I'll get it on her next re run, mostly focused on E0 Silver Wolf for now.

Tysm for updating her build guide. Still got questions though. I was about to keep farming a new Thief/Talia set for a BE build to update her from a "budget support" Quantum temp build (in the meantime I stabilized my account). So far, I had managed to scrounge up 3/4 pieces from Thief and got usable ones from Talia's, but now looking at the guide, from what I understand, I shouldn't change her quantum set (right?).
I run Tutorial LC though, should I redirect farming to Penacony instead?
150% break effect on mine, it is pretty fun seeing 50-70k entanglement procs
I'm so ready. She is the first character I've pre-farmed all materials for, to be able to max out her lvl and traces immediately. I started during 1.2 and now I can finally get her!
I lack imaginary, ice and quantum dps (E1 Qingque) so she will come in clutch for the upcoming floor 11 and 12 in MoC!

Tbh having her from 1.1, i would change that guarantee what i had for some dps,cuz pela and bronya can just buff better, if u like pull ofc,but i don't feel like she doing that much for been limited support
@@greenvega Probably true. But I'm still about 3-4 months away from standard 5 star selector for Bronya and a long way off from diversifying my dps elements. I will be getting Black Swan for wind which I also lack, but won't have quantum, ice or imaginary for a long time.
@@virrre u don't really need that,u just need strong dps,u basically can pull dan and jingliu and don't care about element of enemies weakness cuz they just can kill everything without weakness break, my clara and jingyuan team can clear not weak enemies faster than mono quantum with fu,sw and seele,so just having top tier dps can solve your problems, like even ruan mei looks more universal buffer giving a lot of dmg buff, ngl sw saving my 30* moc right now to push my seele out limits,but if i had jingliu i wouldn't probably not even use sw,cuz pela will do better job in her team
@@greenvega I'm the type of player who tries to get 30 stars while also only rolling for characters I like. So I skipped both DHIL and Jingliu even though they have godly DPS. My Clara+Topaz helped me win this MoC without the enemies being weak. I hope to get Ruan Mei too. SW should fit my account and playstyle well.
I don't use silver wold much anymore as i just have more fun using other characters, but she's in my back pocket if i need her for something.
Currently I'm having fun with the stupidity that is my 3 fox team with main DPS fu xuan (e6). If your curious, its usually yukong who is getting beat up and not tingyun or huohuo.
I stated playing a little more than a month ago and instantly fell in love with SW concept an character aldlsfkskdkwkd. Needless to say I was not happy to know her rerun was right after HuoHuo's banner bc I started playing HSR exclusively for HuoHuo lmao, I instantly gave up on my dream of being f2p djdkfjoakfks
I'm going to build pity on her rerun with the hopes I get a lucky early win for her E1. I think getting the energy refund will make her way more viable in fast paced clears where you can feasibly go for back to back ultimates. As for BE, it's a bit too slow for me. I tend to go for 0 or 1 cycle clears and the delayed break damage often goes into the other cycle. Instead I have a sub dps build. She doesn't do like insane damage, but she can do like 20kish skills or 40kish ults. It's not the worst. If I was ever forced to do longer form combat, I do have break relic setups though, just I usually use them on Sushang.
I was initially pulling for SW the first time her rerun was leaked. But when I found out about Ruan Mei especially when she will be coming right after SW rerun, I've been on the undecided side already.
I really need to see Ruan Mei's kit first before I can consider pulling for SW or not
Ruan Mei in her current state is arguably even better than Bronya and fits in every possible team comp, i’d def skip SW for her

- 66% DMG bonus if at 180% Break Effect (100% uptime)
- 15% team wide SPD buff (100% uptime)
- 20% teamwide Break Effect buff
- is SP positive
- 30% ALL RES PEN on ult
- 50% Break Efficiency buff (100% uptime)
- Extends enemy’s weakness broken state, giving her slight sustain capability
- Contributes a bit of damage herself every time an ally breaks an enemy’s weakness
Most overloaded kit in the game, but 100% turn advance is still busted so she’s not straight up better than Bronya yet

I plan on running her with Seele and Lynx. Alongside the upcoming Ruan Mei for greater Weakness Break Efficiency. But Ruan Mei is Ice, so it might occasionally Implant the wrong Element if the enemy isn't already weak to Ice

Been using SW, FX, bladie and Bronya until now, its very viable team. Not the strongest but its not weak because SW helps against enemies that have different element and high res.
A healer would be better for blade
I pulled her as my first limited back during her Inital Banner (It Took 2 full pities and i Lost my first 50/50 to Himeko) I don't regret it, though I did wish I could have gotten Both SW and Loucha at the time as I was stuck with the Free 3 until Fu's Banner (Don't regret pulling her one bit though) (and I don't need Loucha now knowing I have Proper Sustain now) I didn't really know she was really good at the time as I wanted her cuz I really liked her from the story when I first Started Star rail back in late May.
For Newer Players she is really Convenient as you won't really need to Build up more DPSes then what is needed for MOC. She does become more Niche and more of a Higher Investment as your account evolves to where you don't really care about the Convenience of Weakness Implant. (I do think aganist Randomized Content her Implant will come in Handy and of Course Quantum break by Procing Quantum aganist an Enemy) but she really can work as a good Sub DPS with Higher Eidolons ideally E2+ and her Signature Lightcone (Or another LC that improves her personal Damage) She can peform really well when Invested into Crit and ATK and with her High Muitiplers.
and there Is Break Effect Silverwolf (Something I think will shine Harder with Ruan Mei) which can do really heavy Damage with Entaglement and with Ruan Mei's Break centric kit coming around. Break Teams with SW & Ruan Mei or the DOT Centric Break teams with Kafka are about to Shine harder then Ever Before.
Of course she ain't a Must have and if you don't like her, or you think her weakness Implant not being as Needed after one develops their Account means she is not worth it to you as a Newer Player, and/or you don't care about any of her Niches. By No means go ahead and skip her, No Character is a Must pull in this Game and she'll always be a Nice to Have, but for some she ain't worth it and this is Irregardless if they are a whale or not, newer player or experienced. The only thing noting for Ps5 Players is 1.6 and after banners are Really good value with Ruan Mei. (Dr Ratio for those who have topaz Especially) and after 1.6 with the Respective Reruns that could be revealed for 1.6 that could be Revealed by the Livestream. So i'd advise to plan your pulls accordingly based on characters that have your best Interest.
That being Said I do want her E2S1 for Sub DPS reasons but that could wait as I do want the 1.6/maybe a Character after 1.6 and despite not being F2p (I still prefer Characters I want over Eidolons though)

This was a SW video but in the synergy section, i just thought how much better Ruan Mei would be in all these teams instead of SW if her changes are true and just solidified me skipping SW for her.

I already got her, because I’m dedicated to using my favorite character Hook. My other teammates are E1 Fu Xuan and SP-generator Topaz with sig-lightcone.
I decided to pull for SW because I lost 50/50 on Jing Yuan's banner. It was the best investment ever and she really helped me during the early game.
She now has 130% on both effects hit rate and break effect and she's broken af
i have E0 tutorial SW on mono quantum and i ended up going 4quantum2vonwacq with all atk% because i recognised that she wasnt really getting value out of such low crit stats maybe i will have to try get a penacony set and convert more towards a tanky break effect build though? now that i think about it her kit does seem like its designed around boosting break effects
Already have SW E0 but I wish I didn't pull on her lightcone this morning! luckily failed the roll :) so next one is a garentee looking forward to the raiden looking character
As a relatively new player that started on PS5 when JL came out. I'd intended to pull SW to go with my Seele to make a second team...but without FuXuan and now without Tutorial, I think I'm just gonna give up on monoquantum for now.
I'd rather get RM for JL's team and then pull Kafka for my second team. That should last me for a long while.

My computer was broken when SW came out, so I missed Tutorial Mission which sucks, and while I had enough Jade for a few wishes, I missed 50/50 and got Gepard instead. So this will be my chance to grab her finally, and if I do I can say I won six 50/50s in a row, which will be cool
Already have her, will throw some pulls for 4* eidolons and pity, if I get SW eidolons that’s cool too, but aiming primarily for Ruan Mei.
