While we've had several announcements from Blizzard about WC3, showing signs of life from the "small indie company", it's important to keep appreciating the work of the WC3 amateur community! And that's what we're doing today, by checking out InsaneMonster's WC3 Re-Reforged!

Hey there, I'm the author!
First of all, I appreciate you playing it, for sure that can show the project to a wider audience usually focused around melee.
Cutscenes are a big part but not the most important part of the rework, there are significant gameplay and terrain changes in all maps.
In general, you can think of it as a remake: every map is redone from scratch and in some just the terrain or parts of it are expanded/improved from Blizzard's original work. The maps should feel very nostalgic but also like a new game entirely. At least that's what even knowledgeable people like Neo from B2W told me while he was playing.
I wouldn't say to skip the prologue campaign, it has a bit of everything I've been adding later on and it's supposed to be played before of human campaign. It even introduces that story. However, it's true the human campaign contains more rework and expansion overall with respect to the prologue. I just had more stuff to work with.
Anyway, looking forward to see more if you want to continue, might even pop-in the stream if I can.

Thanks you from all my heart, WC3 is my childhood game before Blizzard ruined it. You are the only reason (and Chronicle of the second war) a blizzard game should on my computer again

Yeah! Definitely would love to see you check out the human campaign. That's where the most improvements can be seen in this Re-Reforged Custom Campaign.
The fact this guy added tidbits of lore into the game and has done excellent camera work just shows the passion for warcraft 3 is still there.
It's def still there... Warcraft III: Reforged was going to be my new main game again... But they botched it.. Was going to be fun climbing the ladder/ranks in multiplayer again.. With people on my level unlike w3Arena where everyone is a veteran.. But.. They botched one of my fav games of all time :/
These cameras are the basic camera pans which are very easy. The hardest part is converting these maps through the mess Blizzard made.
Really appreciate you giving Hive Workshop a plug. Lots of good maps / custom campaigns over there.

Though I will say there was only one campaign designer for War III Reforged as well, and it was his first time as a designer. That's how badly Reforged was defunded by Kodick.

Missed a secret path, the amount of lore love here is unreal, tying together warcraft 3 and world of warcraft locations to help get a real feeling where you're at in the world.

This is awesome. We definitely need more. It'd be cool to have a slow playthrough of the entire campaign, reading every piece of lore along the way. And bonus points for playing the entire thing with "first-person" cam :D

The voices seemed pretty well synced to mouth movements. Not sure if that was the work of InsaneMonster but it does help with the immersion especially close up.

No, the prophet flying is not new. In the original campaign, it flys around you in a cinematic while here, it does it outside the cinematic
Funny with the low cam at 3:49 - 4:26 showing you the size comparison between the units vs the buildings xD If blizzard makes a Warcraft 4 i wouldnt mind if they made buildings more correct sizes.
Should definitely play more of InsaneMonster's Re-Reforged work.
This is pretty neat. Would love to see you play the Rexxar campaign. Might even be fine with Reforged graphics.
Draenor is called Draenor because the Draenei called it so. The Orc's didn't have a name for it as they're native to the land and didn't start to name this planet at some point. Only the exiled ones, driven away by the burning legion, gave it a name. Draenor is a place for the exiled ones, the Draenei. Orcs and Draenei lived in peace until the burning legion found them and told the Orcs to slaughter the Draenei.

AMAZING series! He did an amazing job! Tho I'm the only one having this issue, makes my computer hard crash at times =(
Rebuilding all the maps with custom features is already incredible, but the addition of the codex lore/bestiary section is the cherry on top of for me. I'm sure it was far from the hardest thing to implement, but it's just that little extra detail that adds a new level of polish to this mod (reforged lag/janky graphics aside). Amazing work by the author, I can only hope Blizzard will go back and give this campaign the love it deserves like this guy is doing.
Lets do more episodes, its has a really cool fresh touch to the wc3 campaign!

Ah finally...... It have been over 10,000 years now.
The prologue Orc camp didn't originally have all that activity, and I saw a gnoll spawn from a building. :)
He has also missed a secret area with a doodad altar of storms in the southern part of this map, I've played with this mod and it's quite cool!

I wanna actually see Grubby play two other Warcrafts:
1. SC2 custom multiplayer maps called "War3" with the official Blizzard SD+ graphics (just seartch "War3" in Arcade)
2. SC2 custom campaign "Warcraft: Azeroth Reborn" (looks kinda the same, maybe even the same authors?)

Currently InsaneMonster has released the entire Exodus of the Horde and the first half of the human campaign. The second half of the Scourge of Lordaeron should also be published by this fall.This is a fantastic project!

I think Blizzard made a mistake trying to Reforge two campaigns and the multi-player. They should have just Reforged RoC on launch and added in TFT's Reforged Campaign over a span of patches

I really wanted to play Reforged and get a feel for the genuine game, but I couldn't due to a lack of money. Despite this, I still enjoy watching Grub stream and play Warcraft.
Hopefully Blizzard brings back Custom Campaigns!

Maps are different layouts, there pieces of lore added in, InsaneMonster also made some interesting missions and objectives, there are even custom models modders have made
You should try out all of this work he has done so far
Also you should explore more! And read the codex button

It is actually kind of impressive how the terrain actually looks worse in Reforged than Classic.
Having 10x faster PC's, much intuative design software, $5000 graphics tablets and whatnot .... none of that matters if you don't have the creative talent and love of the project from the creative people in the first place.
The Medivh skin issue is a shader problem. The lighting doesn’t properly illuminate his face unfortunately
I would love a left handed grid in the program to make it easier to play.
how do i change the setttings to classic graphics? It doesnt allow me to do it in game. The toggle fixed

I've decided to just click the Reforged icon on my launcher as I do sometimes and see seome "PTR patch". Of course I think "oh, it's that thing you promised back in 2020", but I click it and see "June 14 2022" or so. I'm legit surprised there's anyone even remembering Reforged is a thing. It hasn't been on any sale ONCE since it was released, like Blizz just wanted to bury and forget it. Granted, they're not redoing the cutscenes D2R style or anything big like that (hopefully just yet), but it's still more than Reforged's gotten almost since it released. Sure, I'll probably never touch ranked, but I'm gonna pay attention to what's happening for now.

What is the problem everyone haves with the reforged graphics? I mean Reforged as a game was a disaster but the new graphics I think are completely fine idk. Could anybody explain? Is it still that people find they can't differentiate the units so quickly? Because honestly I think that is mostly just a thing you can get used to.

Add a SKIRMISH option, for offline play. Why does it take 2 hours to set up a custom game vs AI which has to be connected to the web just to play vs the computer. Why did I download 30 GB of data just to play old graphics skirmish WCIII, which fits nicely into 1GB from the two CD's?

TBH, I won't even consider buying it until the re re-re-re-re-re-reforged comes out. And I shall see if Microsoft has the sincerity to earn my loyalty.
We now live in the age where modders have to fix games, not simply add content or make goofy total conversions, but fix the damn base game.
You missed a lot of codexs. The maps are NOT all the same; same idea, but he adds a lot of extra information and map changes as well
