I would park that in my living room, and tell people not to touch it. It looks fantastic.
This is what happens when a kid that loves race trucks grows up to be a master craftsman. I love it. Killer work
Amen. Thank you
Sick craftsmanship. Just when i thought the last vid was the bench mark i c this 1, id personally clear coat the inside thats all she needs
I really enjoy watching these longer videos. i feel you go more in-depth and explain everything really well. love seeing the progress
Like a bespoke suit. So freakin awesome. James must be so stoked.
So good to see his truck near completion!!! looking forward to seeing him rave it for the first time!
We are too! Thanks for the support!
That very first part of the intro should be the start of every video now. LOL!!!!!
That Truck is Nasty,,,Morgen has that Bad Boy Ready to Battle. Killer Looking and Functional
That’s why we love both you and James! Two of the most humble dudes I know! The two of you push for the betterment of the culture before putting your own stuff out there and it shows daily! #terracrew #MCD1 #finalfrontier
Humble bragging..it's a thing
Thank you.
Nice job you think it out very well 👍 Can't wait to hear it run!!!!
Absolutely awesome job! Sounds like James is a person that deserves a bass ass truck and you sir have delivered it!
dude, these have become my favorite videos. Love to see the process, thought, and craftsmanship put into your work. Keep doing what you're doing!
Thanks for the support!
The little attention to detail really is on another level bro, stoked on this build really did turn out to be a rowdy trick rig. Dope.
Thank you
@@MorganClarkeDesign1 hey man for that problem you’re having what if you do a cool cover with mesh or matched lineX on the top bed rails but have that cover on a hinge so when the tire articulates it just bumps the cover up on the gun then just shuts back down. 🤔🤷🏻♂️ just a random thought lol beautiful work man! Hope too meet you one day 👊🏼
You're a amazing builder buddy absolutely beautiful truck. No tail gate buddy. 👍👍☝☝💯💯🏁🏁
For the rear tire/fender holes, you could make a flap door with a tensioner spring, hinged off the frame. The door could be bead rolled with that same X for strength and design continuity. And it would keep rocks out of the window and keep the flow of the flat tops, and then when the tire comes up it would just rub them open. The tensioner spring on the hinge would keep them closed and from chattering.
Great idea
@@MorganClarkeDesign1 I love seeing the progress of this build!
Hinged on the front, flat flap, that covers the rear fender tire opening with a shaft/ cantilever setup mounted to the axle that lifts the flat flap over the rear tires as rear hits full bump. So the rear fender look flat on top until the tires need room and they open.
Outstanding craftsmanship!!!
Thank you
The craftsmanship you are putting into that truck is amazing. I’ve enjoyed following the build and can’t wait to have a truck built with your talent.
Thanks for the continued support!! Much appreciated! Every truck is special & gets its own treatment. No cookie cutter stuff here
Love the sun visors 👌 epic build
Thank you
Definitely my favorite Eddie Bravo lookalike
Hellz yeah, soo sick! Love it
Main recommendation for the tablet is to make sure that you have some way of keeping it cool. Pilots that fly with an iPad all know about the black screen of death from the iPad overheating, especially in low wing airplanes and helicopters with large canopies where it’s in direct sunlight. I use an xnaut cooling case for my iPad. Might not be tough enough for the application, but could be easily replicated with aluminum to increase the durability.
Noted! Thank you
Get bedsides that have a high enough arch to clear the tire (like the Tacoma bedside from the "We Go to Mexico" episode) .. it will match the front and give it that exaggerated RC SCT body look that James is obsessed with.
When I plumb excavators, feller bunchers etc. I use 1/2" to 3" .250-.500" dom and weld fittings on the end. Most of these machines run a electric over hydraulic attachments and have wiring harness running through the plumbing. Could solve your wiring dilemma. Obviously you don't need them that heavy and then bend to your spec. A fitting that crimps to ORB end.
Male Connector, 3/8 in Tube Size, 1/4 in Pipe Size - Pipe Fitting, Metal, 5/8 in Hex Size
Interesting. Thanks for the info.
fired up to see this thing rip, beautiful build
Rocking that old school LBZ sticker on the hood. Nice
Local boyz
For the tailgate A simple "Bulge" (Didn't frontiers have a plastic cover piece that could be duplicated but modified) for necessary spare tire clearance in the metal skin in the middle but keep stock/fender profiles/ flats at sides.
That is going to be one sweet Frontier. Badass.
Way to humble morgan. You could megaphone' I BUILD WICKED SANO RIGS' and you would still be to humble. This thing is way more gnarly than I was thinking it was going to be. James is a lucky dude, but he is also pretty deserving of a truck like this. He is responsible for a good deal of the terra scene and he just seems like everything is about his and the extended prerunner family. That awesome. This is 1 of several rigs in your shop I'm dying to see hit whoops at 60 and 100ft dune hicks. Your still a fabrication savant dude!! No shit!! Aces 🤘🤙
Thank you.
i know i may be a little late on this but.... For the tailgate why dont you do a tubular gate and skin it with sheet metal and have it swing open like a tire carrier on a jeep with latches and hinges. that way there is even some more weight behind the rear tires since the fuel cell is so far forward. Just a thought. the truck is sick hopefully i can see it in person one of these days. amazing work Morgan!
Thanks for the ideas & the support!!
Your style and craftsmanship are second to none my dude. I had the same thoughts on the rear gate, or gates. Two mesh gates on each side to hold in any extra tools or items in back, and the rear tops of the fenders. Your ideas are simple and super functional which is beautiful shyt man. 🤘🔥😎🔥🤘
Love your builds!! Great fabrication skills.
Might be a weird idea, but on the bedside cut out it you used an aluminum panel on some sort of piano hinge so when it articulates the tire can rub the bottom side of the panel popping it up. Then 95% the rest of the time it is just sitting flat 🤷🏼♂️
Definitely a good concept!
Good idea! Some small springs like throttle springs and cantilever brackets
Tell James forget the tailgate it will always looks like an after thought not flowing from fender to fender edge's.
If you take a template of the front fender curve over the front tyre and apply it to the area over the rear fender where the wheel pops through, is the best compromise IMHO.
Love your updates glad you got to show it good publicity for you James and the Terra crew really looking forward to the next stage as I know after the tear down and powder coating there are still a ton of fiddly thing's to overcome and do, nice work almost sad to cover up all that welding it looks dope, shame you cant get clear powder coating.
Love the the whole truck but the dash is stellar
Wait till you see the end product!! Thank you!
Such a rad build
Amazing work Morgan!! I love the Nissan
Such a kickass build. Details on details and something different! 👊🏻🤙🏻
Glad you notice! Thank you!
You killed it! 💪🏻
Just an idea, use the flexible plexiglass they use in weld shades or butcher shops. Easy bending, easy to cut small holes or vents in as a safe guard for the fenders or safety for the back end or window. James truck is looking great each time.. 💪🏁💯
Thanks!
Lost the notion of time watching this video, can't believe its 46 minutes long lol, amazing build!
Totally agree. Like the longer video format.
We got a lot of feedback about doing longer videos & listened.. I can talk a lot. As long as you guys want to hear it I’ll get into it!
@@MorganClarkeDesign1 I even saw some welding being done (do you classify silicon bronze as brazing?)
Please show us more of your skills in action not just the end result
Loved your dashboard design sketches too. You could do a whole channel on just your sketchbooks I'm sure
I grown up and spent my whole life building , racing, & working on ridged Fuel Funny Cars & a few Dragsters. My Pops was one of the first guys to manufacture 100% billet Hemi Heads and Manifolds for the cars back in 1981. I really would like to get into Off Road Racing at this point in my life. I have spent time as a engineer @ BME Ltd manufacturing racing Super Chargers, pistons ,& Rods with a background in Building Racing Engines. After building Funny Car Chassis I would like to peruse fabrication in the Off Road Racing world. Where do I start🤞🙏🏻
Ram Mounts! we use them in lifeguard trucks and they work well.
For the rear cutout some formed steel mesh like the door cards would look good and from a distance won't do anything to hurt the lines of the truck. Killer work. No matter what you do I'm sure it'll look good.
Thank you.
i use a ram mount setup in our race bug. works perfect for our tablet
Morgan builds a nice truck!
🙏🏿
Speaking of digging yourself out at inopportune times, have you thought about integrating a wheel-well flood light into the Switch-Pros? That’s what I have on my truck as “UNDERGLOW”
Yessir. First. Looks like its been gone through:) Nice work. Can't wait to see this bad boy done.
It’s really been gone through!😂
Also would extend the rear of the bedsides a couple inches to run the tailgate if you wanted to run it. I'm sure he's going to need to make plugs for these bedsides anyways after you fixed them. I'm kinda running into the same problem with adapting f150 bedsides to my 92" track width on a single cab tundra converted to a short bed, sucks having something unique.
Nice video...what's a guess on weight??? And look out for those tweekers😁
I think she’s going to be lighter than expected.. 4800
One solution you could do for the rear window/rocks hitting it solution would be a lexan window. Easy solution and can get them with a tinted color as well.
There is nothing like a nice factory back window. Lexan gets scratches & worn out very quickly.
Like always, like your work
100% awesome!
Love the detail you go into in this series. Maybe you could fab up a headache rack for the rear glass so it would be protected from rocks but still be able to see through
That doesn’t really match the style we are going! We’ll find a solution!
what a sick truck!
You could always do stadium truck number plates to block the rear wind screen from roxks likw put the plate right above the shocks
Love the detail work!! Are tinerman nut clips better for for body panels and bedsides rather than the quarter turn fasteners or other dsuz style fasteners? I can see rivetted nut plates breaking off from vibration.
Proper Nut plates hold up 100%. Some people do use nut clips as well!
Just no word for it…. 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤
has this truck been completed? great design & execution!
Nice Work!
Thank you!
One sikk ride. Sikk workmanship..
Thank you
Mob armor is what I’m using in my Baja bug for the tablet
A police style tablet holder would be cool forsure and fit the needs of what it needs to do
That’s a great idea
Masterpiece 💪
Why not add a hinged panel above the cutout clearanced section on the rear fender? It can hinge in the front and sit flat with the top of the fender, maybe use a sprung hinge or bungee tie down to keep it flat until the tire contacts it.
That’s a really good idea. I think that might be the right direction!
Great work Morgan..!!!!.
Maybe a grill out of stainless...every thing is 1st rate .
Thanks! Stainless mesh would be a nice ticket!
That truck is starting to look like it’s been completely gone through.
I keep trying to visualize rear fender humps like the hood. It might not look bad to have curved tops on the bed sides.
We need to take a drink every time he says packaging
RAM mounts are pretty good and can bolt in or clamp.
Mob armor makes awsome mounts for phones and tablets
The attention to detail is amazing. One of my favorite channels for sure! When u do silicon bronze on your sheet metal do you tack the panels in with 70s2 first? Or taco with silicon bronze too?
Tack with silicone bronze as well.
And thank you!
Well done Morgan🤙🏻
Thank you
Thank you for responding, you’re work is amazing! And most of all !! Helping a school teacher !! Mine was a teacher for 40 yrs.
You are a good person Morgan!!
Mother ment to sa
🥃🥃
Looks like I can’t post the link for you but a mount that I’ve come across that looks pretty decent is this: (I just copied the title from Amazon, it’s about $90-99) “Arkon Locking Aluminum Tablet Mount with Key Lock for E-Log for Galaxy Tab A iPad Models Retail Black”
Thanks!
Truck is sikpimp!
James better wear his driving shoes!!!
security holders for tablets at stores are the best way to secure them and keep them vented.
Should of taken this truck to sema
Next year!
Thing looks like a dat dam trophy truck!
Wow 😳😳 bad ass
THAT'S NOT BLOODY MET-ULE!! Morgan hopefully it will gets a 70's wizard with the face of Daryl dime bag Abbott riding a free huffin' dragon mural on the hood.
How does the fuel cell come out with those tubes over it holding the trans coolers?
Removable lower section. Drops out of the bottom.
I believe Mob Armor makes an iPad mount
I miss the whips in the dungeon beat
Thank you for this great presentation. What is the size of this amazing rims and size of this tires please? 🙏
Thank you guys!
Big five 🌟 to u from Morocco
🙂🏜️🏔️🇲🇦
Hi!!! Greetings! 40” bfg baja tire with a 17” wheel!
@@MorganClarkeDesign1 thank you very much for the quick response 🙂🙏
I run a Ram mount in my truck. They work but it does have a little bit of movement with a iPad when hitting stuff at speeds. Everything I looked at was a give and take. If you have a lot of adjustment you will loose some rigid holding capacity vs the other way more holding strength = less adjustment. Believe ONX Offroad is who he is working with. I have both
Check out soundman iPad kit.
Its probably halfway done lol so much detail
Maybe 5/8.. lol
This truck n your ideas remind me of building race trucks in the 90's.. trucks where engineered,,custom made,,and builders where trying to out build each other with winning trucks... These days race cars are cookie cutters
Lots of cookie cutter stuff. It seems like most Fab shops just do what others are doing with no monumental, breakthrough thoughts on design. Billet parts only go so far.
@@MorganClarkeDesign1 Never heard of her lol
🤙🤙🤙
You gonna run Ac in that thing? Gps?
Tablet. No a/c
Come on James your kikinazzz🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿
Jeeezzz
Gotta pretty nice fade going on there buddy lol..
Skin tight, medium fade
🤙👊
Mmmm.. yummy. More arc shots please!
Great LONG video. Joey is doing an awesome job with these. Follows you very well, like with the pull back to show the C pillar. It’s awesome watching your thought process Morgan. Keep killing it man! 👍🏻
@@ShowMeThePony thank you! Stay tuned for more to come!
Moab Armor for iPad mount
Don’t you test it before you Break it down and have it painted just to make sure everything’s gonna work?
Everything will work. We’ve done it enough to know the meat & potatoes are solid. Shock valving, powertrain & gearing will be the main adjustments.
Ram mounts for tablet
Silicone?
Silicone bronze rod?
Just make a enclosed pylon
