Thank yo usooooooo much for posting. This was my deceased mother's favorite JBC song. Luckily we got to see them live on the USA NE coast, and mom & I went to 4 shows in three cities in 4 days. Little old 60something mom rocking with the JBC and AEUK. They were so friendly, chcek out my comment onthe JBC Angels video, or my picture and review of their small tour. Thanks again. Love to All of those in the JB Conspiracy, the Good Ones, ans fellow freezing, lonely penguins. John
I'm so glad I got to see them live in the 1990s. One of the guys from Camper Van Beethoven was in the band at the time and they played "Take the Skinheads Bowling" as an encore.
Waiting for the love bus came out well after I was crazy for the Jazz Butcher... that was 4 years after I bought Distressed Gentlefolk and I sent my dad to see them play in Seattle (I was under 21 at the time).... And penguins have always been a craze since I was a kid in the 1970s.
Song got stuck in my head this morning - and it wasn't in my Google Play account even though I own the album (I messed up somewhere there) - so appreciate being able to listen to it again. Favorite tune off this album...
This picture perfectly captures the song, literally, and also meta-literally. Albeit the song itself being 'just a tad' bleak, maybe even over-bleak. Perhaps? Perhaps not.

I can't thank you enough for posting this. I utterly adore this little tune despite its ability to give me an ear-bug that lasts seemingly forever! :)
There I Am-Third Row Left!
Great photo - all their fans waiting for the next album??
