I was still positive again the week after. Went to the er and they couldn’t help me. You’re right no one can help you. I would call my mom and dad just to have someone to talk to. I had Covid the first week of January, and my running hasn't recovered since. My pace is averaging 30-45 seconds slower than in Dec, and I can't run the distance as then either. I had registered for a marathon for the last week of January and went ahead and ran it. It was my worst finish time that I've ever had. I just want my endurance to get back to where it was two months ago!!

      @IRunThings  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Well this was the original covid in 2020. I'd say I had a mild case with no repercussion.. I think it caught it at my son's high-school. I went in to organize uniforms for the marching band and even though I was wearing a mask it's basically a big closet with 300 uniforms and I touched a lot of stuff

    Awwww omg girl this sounds so awful. You being in the basement not eating the headache and nightmares! The spiders and you were alone! So sad! Thankful you are healthy and strong and your body pushed through!
    My son had it and he slept one day and that was it. But my hub is a nurse and lost a lot of patients to it. So much can happen and you never know.
    Omg you went to the high school! I think you nailed it. And like I said those kids don’t even know they carry it. Awwww! Your son is ok? Did you get him tested too?

    • @IRunThings
      @IRunThings  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think this is completely different in kids. So what you describe happened to your son sounds accurate... most won't even know they might have it.
      Thank your husband. He is a HERO!!! Being in the Frontline of this requires a huge amount of bravery and empathy. This disease is extremely unfair.
      And the high school is fully remote for all activities except sports and marching band (for obvious reasons)
      Kids are doing marching band practice outside only, separated by 6ft and in small groups of 50 (our band is about 170 members).
      The problem with the uniforms is... you have to do it inside. You need to have an iron to iron stuff, and be able to sew things, etc.
      My son is an officer and they got fitted first, the week prior. The very moment I got sick we pulled him from practice, just in case and we've been self isolating for 10 days (all 3 od us, husband too). So no, we haven't tested my son and he hasn't had any symptoms, so at this point all 3 are in the clear.
      The band season ends Nov 3rd as well so we are almost done and then they are remote till at least January at this point. Board keeps sending surveys and the majority of parents keep saying remote, so...
