I have 07 M35 with only 102,000 miles but kept near the Beach area in Miami so the left side pipe rusted and broke off and been driving with only one side exhaust which is also rusted and can break off at anytime. The pipe connection is with bolts not clamps. Is purchasing a new exhaust and using a welder my only option?
I never understood why people ask me the same question. Personal you get more for your money. Although I have the V8, you can take parts from the G and Z and still make it go fast while having a VIP

The car belongs to my friend. He's currently running Tein Lowering spring on his M35.
How much did they charge you for installation?
So is it necessary to weld the exhaust to the frame as you did? Or was that just because he didn’t have the stock midpipe already?
The mid pipe was an aftermarket one already so it had to be cut and welded to fit the aftermarket axle back.

The catalytic converters weren't removed. The muffler has nothing to do with smog testing.

What made you get a M35 than a g35/37?
That's my friend's car. But to answer that question, He's a bit older and wanted that added luxurious interior that you don't get in the G35/37
