They have bibs on with numbers that identify them, the results came over the timing mat, and Kirami Yego has been a top 15 guy in the NCAA for 1-2 entire years. It's so pathetic for these commentators to incorrectly identify Kirami Yego for so long. Give the man his respect.
You can see Yego had dust in face the whole race and still didn't care. Just took of business!
I got a autograph from Timothy Chesondin while I was here, he signed my Air Maxes.
First 4 Kenyan
Cause they’re better
@@Hhhhhsgaga No it's because they're 27
They are basically signing pros to 4 years that haven’t ran college before loop hole because of the NIL deals I believe
Ran at Southern Arkansas University for 5 years in the Great American Conference. My last year East Central began mainly recruiting guys from Kenya. The year after I left(2023 last year), East Central's entire top 7 were all Kenyans. Harding recruited someone from there too(likely gonna win the GAC meet).
@@dominicgonzales384 yep, I just went to a meet where a 27 year old freshman from VT named Nicholas kipchirchir went sub 23 for 8k
The announcers were awful. Totally ignored the fourth place runner with blonde hair at the finish.
lol this is not XC. You should see what we have to run on in the UK...
Bro not every course in the US looks like this. Trust me it gets way worse
Yeah, you are totally right. UK XC courses usually have tons of hills, poor footing, mud, and haybales thrown in. NCAA teams would refuse to race on such a course out of concern for injury.
Each course, and region, has its own personality. I love that about xc, as well as trail running, here in the States!
The fun thing about cross country is you get to use what is available to you in your area.
Yet the top UK college runners come to USA to run cross country
