Taking Alchemize then Sozu and then spending gold to remove Alchemize was the run-winning strat. We couldn't hear him in the beginning because he wasn't talking to us, he was talking to God
This is the greatest Slay the Spire run of all time. Takes Alchemize and then immediately takes Sozu. Takes Dead Branch after talking about keeping the deck thin the entire time. Refuses to use Winged Boots. And then wins easily. The GOAT 🐐
This episode was an absolute bastion of unintentional comedy. Muted for almost a minute? Alchemize, followed by taking Sozu? This is gonna be a new classic.
This episode.... pure cinema. The way the first run absolutely imploded, half of which was silent. not even using the winged boots, he finally takes an acrobatics and goes thermonuclear but definitely didn't realize acrobatics was a large part, the dead branch almost destroying it all, and THE SOZU ALCHEMIZE. goated run.
whats sad about this is that this kind of run will only reinforce his idea that acrobatics is a "discard synergy" card and he will never pick it even if he was 6 energy per turn
Finally takes acrobatics. Basically runs his whole deck with draw. Also takes alchemise into Sozu... I cant lie, while an interesting play, i feel the extra energy was important
maybe after 1000 more runs when he gets another one like this he'll discover that having multiple calculated gamble+'s and reflexes could make infinite damage with tingsha given a thin enough deck
6:47 i literally just thought "oh he must lose this one since theres a discard build in the thumbnail and video title" and i got so scared he read my thoughts like a chat message
Ultimately, having 2 energy relics enabled his dead branch to pop off. Extra energy allows dead branch to pop off even more since you can actually play the cards that are being added to your hand that turn. He couldn't have known the energy boss relic offering was gonna conflict with alchemize. Is in the long run, he made the right decision to take sozu. But you could easily argue that it was luck that it panned out that way
My favorite thing about this run is how about halfway through NL's deck starts clicking and he just looks and sounds genuinely delighted. He's had lots of fun playing Slay the Spire, but sometimes the Ascension grind gets a man down, and it's just so wonderful to see his joy at playing the game. I love this era.
Has he finally found out why everyone all the time says to take acro? Its by far one of silents best cards and its power is fully shown in his deck here.
Going from the quick losses to that crazy kickass discard/shiv build was so satisfying Hopefully this encourages him to take acrobatics more in the future, it was very strong here
he’s really immersing himself as the Silent in this one

The Alchemize+Sozu enjoyer has logged on
It happened so fast
Literally said it to myself as a joke then it happed 😂
Same I saw sozu and instincts told me he grabs over anything here period.
Taking Alchemize then Sozu and then spending gold to remove Alchemize was the run-winning strat. We couldn't hear him in the beginning because he wasn't talking to us, he was talking to God
beast mode I'm afraid

we're slay the spire guys, of course we go straight to the comment section after he takes sozu + alchemize
So ture
soooooo true
Okay, okay, you got me.

OOP IM BUSTED
This episode was an absolute bastion of unintentional comedy. Muted for almost a minute? Alchemize, followed by taking Sozu? This is gonna be a new classic.
we’re slay the spire guys, of course we know he’s had some good silent runs on the bike even thought his mic was muted for thr first minute
No words! ABSOLUTE CINEMA
The Cinima enjoyer has logged on
alchemize into sozu was the offering to the spire gods for such a deck
Nuts video. Starts it with mic off, loses 2 runs in a row in the first act, all to win a 26 minute run on the same run he picked sozu + alchemize.
nl testing out miming as his exit strategy for when the twitch bubble bursts
they said he would never take acrobatics
They said he would never take alchemize and then immediately sozu
He's beginning to believe...
And it was incredibly important for his run
I physically jumped out of my seat seeing him take the acrobatics like my first child just hit a gaming wining home run
@@evangriesse3533 19:52 Pictured: him beginning to believe
He really did an almost infinite discard deck. He is beginning to believe.
edit: spoilers he picked dead branch and ruined it.
4:57 I’ve been waiting for him to say this again for a long time now
This episode.... pure cinema. Even though I sometimes am frustrated by the decisions NL makes, I'm still grateful for the fact he's putting this series out. Thanks man
The alchemize take immediately into sozu pickup are the 300 IQ plays neither you or I can fathom

It finally happened
Don't worry, he balanced it out at 13:40.

Finally takes acrobatics. Basically runs his whole deck with draw.
Also takes alchemise into Sozu...

The best part of StS is when the play that sounds terrible is the right play.
Watching a man discover the tingsha, calculated gamble, draw-discard build is a wonderful sight.
maybe after 1000 more runs when he gets another one like this he'll discover that having multiple calculated gamble+'s and reflexes could make infinite damage with tingsha given a thin enough deck
Classic NL play at 13:40. Never would have thought up a play like that myself.
This run was so good that it left both the viewers and the creator speechless
0:51 when he realizes that he was muted

Thank god, I thought it was gonna be the whole video lmao

Silent I'm Afraid
for a moment there, we were infinite (before he took dead branch without thinking)
He took his role of playing as the silent super seriously today.
The levels of cinema in this run are beyound comprehension
HOLY SHIT NEW MUTED VIDEO JUST DROPPED
6:47 i literally just thought "oh he must lose this one since theres a discard build in the thumbnail and video title" and i got so scared he read my thoughts like a chat message
Alchemize and sozu immediately we’re so back

I was laughing way to hard at the rambling during the Guardian bossfight. Man was locked in
As the prophecy foretold, alchemize then snap pick sozu

Worried my meds actually kicked in for a minute there.
Finally some real Silent gameplay
Oh god the Silent jokes just write themselves don't they

The Silent really went silent on this one.

He's played it so long he speaks slay the spire
best splay the spire vid to date!
An entire minute of peloton, bazaar, and winged boots banter lost to history 😞
That was the greatest run I've seen in a long time lmao, not from a mechanical mastery pov but for ABSOLUTE CINEMA.
4:58 "An early bouncer that moans on it." Actually almost killed me 😂
Muted Intro, Alchemize & Sozu, best flow deck i have personally witnessed. we are so back
Great first words, really inspired me
watching NL without audio makes you realize he does look kinda funny when he talks, dude is a comedian
The worst and best part is he knows we'll pog off to the full minute of initial silence. He damn knows it, and he's right!
first run is absolute cinema
The crazy thing about NL is that even being on mute for a minute, he was able to make me laugh.
HE TOOK ACROBATICS I REPEAT HE TOOK ACROBATICS THIS IS NOT A DRILL
Going from the quick losses to that crazy kickass discard/shiv build was so satisfying
Hopefully this encourages him to take acrobatics more in the future, it was very strong here
Loving the sts arc!
We are the muted guys, of course we will watch to boost viewership
We're slay the spire guys. We like the bazzar videos but we wish the sts/bazzar ratio was a little higher.
This is like those songs that start with a minute of silence. Stop making fun, this is art.
Everything came together.
It's alchemize. It's sozu. Holding hands.
HE REALLY IS THE SILENT 🗣️ ❌
14:49 - The greatest utility that the alchemized offered this game.
Enelle accidentally creating a good deck will never stop being hilarious
He was given the Mandate of Heaven. All-time GOAT StS run
,of course the joke was good you just didnt hear it
I love silent movies
Does he owe money to predator?
He skipped it twice so far.
It's a great early game card
20:05 - He attempts, but fails, to resist the urge to become a Disney Princess that just met the male love interest.
Ring a ding baby is such a throw back I still watch the fallout new Vegas play through from time to time 😂
Acrobatic + Tactician was the key to getting the Silent to zoom for NL
13:49 me when I take the relic of agony and despair
That last run was one of the best I’ve seen all video
Less blunder, more plunder
Hooooolllllyyyyy man. It's The Silent From Slay The Spire!
NL, my heart is broken, the best chief is clearly the one that puts sunshine on leith
The man's playin with us at this point. Finally taking acrobatics then throwing to alchemize sozu
We’re Isaac guys. Of course we craft the zaniest Slay the Spire runs possible.
The alchemize into sozu snap pick CINEMA
The Acrobatics fan club boys are gonna be thrilled on this one.
he’s learning the true power of the silent
Just when he starts appreciating Acrobatics a little, he starts disrespecting Calculated gamble.
NL's been real Silent since this one dropped.
He really got in character for this run.
Slay the spire sinks. Like a *boulder*. Bazaar flows like the waves 🎶
God bless his muted egg soul.
The moment I saw sozu show up I knew he could not resist :D
