The fist in the wall and anger management from season 3 wasn't for the hangover, it was because helms was still a correspondent on the daily show. His missing to film the hangover was explained as going on all his non refundable honeymoons after breaking up with Angela in season 5
i love Erin's comment in this episode when she was with Andy on the boat "So this is how your family came to America" for some reason it just makes me giggle everytime
I genuinely don’t understand why they couldn’t give Andy a proper send off like they did with his anger management arc, or the honeymoon arc… it’s just sad at this point
I so love the prank with Dwight, I think it's one of my favorite Jim/Dwight pranks of the entire show

When I was watching through the series with my mom, this episode got the biggest laugh out of her I've probably ever heard when Angela says that the senator "wants a little Mexican brought in".

Everyone wanted shirtless Jim, what we got was pantless Dwight. I'm glad life worked out this way, because damn he really makes them forest green tightie whities shine.
The best part about this episode is when Kevin is sitting in the break room with Dwight with his pants off

The prank got so old to me. At a certain point, the pranks went from goofy escapades to serial killer level planning and torment so quickly (and getting the rest of the office involved feels like its just so they aren't just literally seat fillers.) Nellie isn't likeable, no matter what they try. And knowing these people are committing fraud, libel, and probably multiple broadcast and commerce violations with this always makes me less enamored with the happy resolutions. This is the best episode regarding the Senator/Oscar affair with great comic tension, fun resolution, and it won me back at a point when the show was losing me so fast. Andy gets some good acting but the terrible resolution going forward absolutely kills the momentum, especially since Hangover 3 was our apparent consolation prize. Not a fair trade. The webisodes are much better. Love your series though! Still waiting for Arrested Development field guide!!!

I always felt like they should have gone with a coma instead of this boat gimmick. It just made us all hate Andy so much more. COMAS are the best!
I’m going to talk next week more about the decision to write him off, and maybe wrap my head around why they did it this way. I love the idea of a coma for Andy.
@Mulverine it can explain better the direction changes with Andys character, pull emotional stringslet us sympathize with Andy and the comedy. This is one of the biggest changes i would make.
I thought this was a terrible episode and that the prank on Dwight was offensively unfunny. The show should have been cancelled before Season 8. By the time we reach this episode, everything that made the show great had been lost and the cast appear to be on autopilot. However I am probably wrong. 😀

I don't disagree. The prank feels more serial killer planning than goofy fun antics of the good old days. The characters are cartoons with inconsistent personalities and it feels like a huge reach.

Andy is , was and will always be the worst character on the show.
Totally agree. He wasn’t even a character. He was just a coat hanger for the writers to hang any half baked jokes onto…sometimes he’s a cold blooded shark, soft hearted, smart, incredibly dumb, angry, sweet etc…
I loved the prank on Dwight but everything about Andy in this episode is cringe. I’d rather watch Scotts Tots over again.
Please look up the correct pronunciation of "subsequently." Second video featuring incorrect pronunciation . Emphasis should be on first syllable!
