Thank you Dr. Dray for all your vlogs! Your video showed up by fate I believe. I am currently recovering from a severe sunburn over my arms, shoulders and face ongoing for 2 weeks now. This sunburn and you have truly woken me up to the importance of sunscreen everyday. I was sucked in by the whole essential oils on the skin help it heal, but now realize how it made my skin so irritated and does not help sunburns. I'm using the Cerave tub after a shower for the past two days and my skin loves me now! 😎
You could talk about the most obscure dermatology issue, using the most arcane language, and still lift my mood. Thank you for the trouble you take to make these videos. So nice to retreat to a day in Dr. Dray.

I was going to tell you that I use the sunscreen from Walgreens and when I need to tint it I put No 7 tint drops in ...... works great for me and very inexpensive. I got a large tube for 5 dollars.

I really wish that the Asian sunscreens came in larger sizes. They come in such tiny bottles. What do they honestly use when they go to the beach? Haven't seen an Asian sunscreen that was family size.

I have started to religiously wear sunscreen because of you. My skincare budget is devoted to just purchasing sunscreen and the basic cleanser and moisturiser. It’s such a relief! ❤️
The wet skin jergens is amazing! Really give you a glow. You put it in when you get out of the shower and your skin is a little damp.
I have been using the Walgreen's brand Age Protetion SPF 110 for the face. It dries clear and supposedly won't clog pores... and is only $10!!

@@Chelsea-ju1ex Ok.... now that I have used if for a while, it is pretty greasy when you first apply it. However, if I go easy on the amount of moisturizer I put on and give it some drying time it works well. (I am 57 with normal/dry skin) It also doesn't have a strong fragrance and I have a strong sense of smell. All in all, I feel like it is worth the trouble to get the 110 SPF coverage for the price~ Plus the fact it is non comedogenic😊👍

Dr. Drey have given us a video on how to do skin checks at home in between dermatology appointments?
If so please mention and link in a future vlog. A few years ago on a cruise I found a suspicious lesion between my toes that had all the markers for melanoma. I noticed it because I was taking the time to care for my feet. Otherwise I could have missed it. After my dermatologist removed it I had to have a podiatrist surgeon remove more tissue to make sure all the margins were clear. I do systematic skin checks every month now. Others may benefit too. Thanks.

Used it only has a body sunscreen- Please go to CVS and look at their sunscreens ❤️ my favorite is the CVS health Clear Zinc combo SPF 50 which is also octocrylene- I feel I get the same protection because I literally apply 4 layers before I walk out plus my color corrector to cover up the white - and re applying twice throughout the day! So I don’t mind not having titanium dioxide in there ❤️
The Walgreens fragrance free in the purple tube is my go-to! I LOVE that sunscreen! I buy them when they are $2.99 each. They travel easily, they go in my purse, they are in every bathroom...they also don’t burn my eyes! 💜💜💜💜

So I never ask for videos, but I would love an updated lip SPF rec. video (they seem to have discontinued the CeraVe and I don't like the Vanicream cast, and everything else is flavored, yuck) and/or recommendations for body sunscreens that go on quickly. Happy Sunday, Dr. Dray. The Jergens Wet Skin self tanner works well. Don't towel off at all ... just follow directions and spread it well. No streaky lines or funky color, and I'm fair complected. It's a good one, but does have that telltale self-tanner smell.

I went to my Walgreen’s app and found the Walgreen’s baby sunscreen SPF 50. There was a comment that “it is a well known fact that zinc oxide below 10% is ineffective.” I remember from your previous videos not to get fixated on percentages because it really depends on the vehicle used. Could you go into a little more detail on that, please? I’m wondering if the low price is due to the low percentage. Would greatly appreciate your guidance in this regard. P. S. I've been using the walgreens sensitive 50. The white cast goes away when it dries for me. It gets bonus points for being the cheapest sunscreen I've ever seen! It is greasy so I mostly use it on my neck and hands daily.
I have used bondi sands and I love it!! It doesn’t make me look orange at all like some other drugstore ones do!

Thank you for talking about allergic contact dermatitis, within the last two years I have been diagnosed with 17 different ones through two sets of patch testing. I struggle everyday and haven’t had a flare free day in over a year. It’s hard to explain to people exactly what it is and what causes it (along with there’s no cure only avoidance) I would love to see a video on the subject so o can share with all my loved ones.

I love Walgreen's sunscreen, and I am not sure they are cruelty free. I have heard different reports, and so I have been avoiding it in favor of Alba and Australlian Gold. Waiting on the Palmer's Bronze Lotion from Amazon!

Which one do you guys recommend the one dr.dray applied in the beginning or the Walgreens sunscreen???
I work at Walgreens! I purchased the Walgreens Sensitive SPF 50 just to test out, tested a small amount on the back of my hand when I got home and it looks promising (white cast disappeared in minutes). I decided to get it for when I mow the lawn because no one would see the obnoxious white cast. It feels pretty comfy, no off-putting sunscreen scent.
I’m still getting used to sunscreen and taking baby steps. The Simple Moisturizer with SPF 15 is the only face lotion with SPF that I’ve been able to tolerate because it’s so lightweight it feels like nothing. Everything else makes my face feel weird (I have very oily skin).
EDIT: The older Walgreens Baby formula was combination and the newer one is mineral-only. The Clear Zinc (green bottle) has the same ingredients list as the Sensitive one but dries completely clear after a minute.
From all 3 options: clear, sensitive, and baby version - which did you prefer and why? (:

1. Sensitive would be my first choice, even though it has the same ingredients as the Clear. Only because psychologically, I feel that the word "Sensitive" on the label is somehow better lol. I do feel a little burning around my eyes and center of my cheeks, but that's only because I'm not used to using heavyduty sunscreens (I use Eucerin Face SPF 30 Daily, super lightweight). So it's most likely me, not the product, since I also feel the burn around my arm. This goes away for me in a few minutes.
2. Clear would be my next choice, slightly bigger bottle, and I use that for my arms more often. While in small amounts, it does dry more clear than the Sensitive, I noticed if I put on a lot (slather it), the white cast sometimes remains, and becomes more noticeable if you get wet, or start sweating, and in the creases of your skin (like most mineral sunscreens)
3. Baby formula without a doubt would have the best protection since zinc + titanium is like the ultimate combination for U.S. sunscreens. I was saving this one for Halloween because this gives me the same cast as the CeraVe sunscreens that the internet seems to hate. It looks as if someone threw a ball of flour at my face. The only time I use this is to mow the lawn in my backyard because no one is gonna see me as a ghost. HOWEVER, that being said.... I do like the feel and finish of the Baby formula the best. Being a purely mineral sunscreen, it has a matte finish (which I love as an oily person).
The online price of the Clear sunscreen has been drastically lowered a few months ago compared to its in-store price (6.99), so if it's in-stock and willing to wait a week, and you want to try it, I would order the Clear sunscreen online, but instead of shipping it to your house (5.99 shipping), select "Ship To Store" option and it cancels the shipping cost. It will arrive to a Walgreens store of your choice and held for you at the photo department.
P.S. another tip, you know how usually the bigger bottles are a better deal? That's not the case with these Walgreens sunscreens. The small 3 oz bottles when it's 2/$3, or B0G0 50% comes out cheaper per ounce than the bigger bottle.

I use Bondi sands and LOVE it! The light/medium mousse is super easy to use and gives a nice color payoff that isn’t orange! It is scented but isn’t overpowering and fades quickly. Totally recommend it!
