Thank you for reviewing this remarkable Bible! As someone who’s been hunting for the ultimate, everyday carry NIV, I’d love to see a video of your top NIV Bibles!
Tim, I’m so impressed with your knowledge of the history of these translations, and who’s binding, printing, etc. This is definitely a Bible I would love to have. I had never heard of the proclamation Bible. Thank you for such a great review.
I have had to put a freeze on my bible purchases for a while. But I would absolutely consider buying an RL Allen some day. And this one looks terrific! Just purchased an NIV Quentel from Schuyler which is my current favorite.
I was a Cambridge fanboy until I got my first RL Allen KJV 7c. I have, or at one time had, premium Bibles from Cambridge, Schuyler, Humble Lamb, Crossway and Thomas Nelson/Zondervan (all thanks to you Tim 😅) and RL Allen makes the best premium Bibles hands down in my opinion.
Great review Tim! I have been an Allanite from the Nicholas Gray era of the company. This new Proc looks fantastic and for all the NIV fans out there, it is a must for their collection!
NIV is my go-to translation. I'm with you Tim that the best NIV Premium Bible is between the Schuyler PSQ/Quentel and the Allan NIV versions. However there are VERY FEW Single Column Readers in NIV translation. (Where is the Schuyler Treveris or Stridon NIV Bibles?!?!) Zondervan has a NIV Heritage Bible in their Premier Collection which has the potential to be great if they rizz it up with a bit more of their special treatment that they've been doing to some of their other layouts (like Thinline, etc). I feel the NIV Premium Bible market is not yet as developed as it could be.
Thanks for another great review Tim! I would love to get my hands on a Bible with the speckled page edges. They are stunning. Are RL Allan the only publishers who do this?
Great products - I would have liked to see the Zondervan products for comparison. I would have liked to see a bigger sample of the Proclamation Bible. I am looking for a Study Bible but I'm wondering if the Proclamation Bible would suffice too.
I am not gonna be the guy who says to NOT read the NIV 2011 but it just is not my favorite and I do not think I could drop that much money on it. I love fancy bibles and my wife and I have schuylers both ESV and KJV but again I just think NIV 2011 kinda went off the rails on some things. All that being said the bible does look nicely made and I did watch the whole video because I love your content, so thank you and have a blessed day!
Tim, you just used another word that could've been added to your terminology video! "Pagination". Haha, I think this is the first video i've heard you say that word before!
Really wish that version was still around, I am no fan of the 2011 version. I recommend ESV over it because it is readable and not changed nearly as much.
@@Masta_E I agree brother! I wish Zondervan would have left it published or would republish it like lockman has with NASB 95 and 20. I hope to find a nice 84 block to have rebound someday
@@jimyoung9262 I agree! The CSB has become my devotional bible because I started in an NIV 84 but it has since been falling apart as it was passed down to me from the man who lead me to the Lord
I completely understand why you might like the '84 NIV. I read it before I was baptized at 16, at which point I switched to the NKJV. I read that for a good 10 years before my baptism Bible fell apart. I subsequently switched to the NASB95. I am so glad that The Lockman Foundation does not lock previous editions of the NASB when they do an update. That still did not stop me from buying two extra NAS95 Allan Bibles as backups.
Have you ever heard of "Thru the Bible" with Les Feldick? He has passed away about 1-2 yrs ago but I had never got into my Bible in depth prior to watching his 30min shows on ion network or youtube. He isn't a preacher or anything special but he was probably the best bible teacher ever. Nobody get's as in depth as he does. He uses the KJV and does not interject any denomination into his teaching. Try and find him on TV. I have about 4 Premium Bibles nice and marked up with underlines and notes from listening to him.
I didn’t buy it as I believe it is the Uk NIV, not the American NIV. Since there’re different spelling and words I just couldn’t justify buying it. I even sold my NiV1 because of that. I do have both the ESV NC1 and the ESV1 as well as a 53C. They make exquisite Bibles.
Here is a vote for that "Tim's favorite NIV Bibles" video.

I second this. I love the NIV
I third it!

Wow, thank you!
I’m very impressed. Fully loaded NIV.

That’s just about the perfect amount of extras too. Thanks for sharing, Tim! ✌️🤓
You bet!

Tim, Please do your favorite NIV bible video!
Please do favorite NIV and which NIV you preach out of.
Beautiful!! Love all the features. I also love your point about breaking it down by size and use case as you compare .
I REALLY enjoyed the Bible review video thank you sir 👍.
Glad to hear it!
Thank you very much for the review Tim! 👍
My pleasure!

This Bible is really nice. I feel so fortunate to have been able snag one before they were gone!
hi Tim! Great review…made me want to get one! I hate that it is not available. 😢😢
Looks good, will hopefully get for a loved one who finds the NIV easier to read
I recommend it to first time readers all the time.
Tim read my mind. I was just looking for a video about this a couple of weeks ago on the TH-cams.
These look fantastic. I'd love to get a couple for my parents.
A truly luxurious copy of God's Word
Very nice!!
One day I hope to own a premium bible. That might be a great choice if it was available. Thanks for all of the bible reviews.
NIV is my go-to translation. I'm with you Tim that the best NIV Premium Bible is between the Schuyler PSQ/Quentel and the Allan NIV versions.

I will purchase that Bible as well ❤
Wow, beautiful Bible. I’d love to own one of these. Maybe one day 😅
Thanks for another great review Tim! I would love to get my hands on a Bible with the speckled page edges. They are stunning. Are RL Allan the only publishers who do this?
Zondervan has done it a few times.
My budget rejoices that this Bible already sold out.
😉

I like this bible NIV 1984
Nice, I can stream this video in 4k. Definitely doing that! lol
Yes you can!

wow, looks good
What is the best Bible for you?
Me: All of them!!! I'm on my 20 something. 😂
I found the hardback with British text. 🎉
Allan brought back the NIV Proclamation....and its gone.
It solid out in less than 2 hours. I waited literally like 2 years for this and couldn't get one haha
Tim, you just used another word that could've been added to your terminology video! "Pagination". Haha, I think this is the first video i've heard you say that word before!
I don't like the NIV version but that's a nice looking bible.
NIV 84 anyone?
Really wish that version was still around, I am no fan of the 2011 version. I recommend ESV over it because it is readable and not changed nearly as much.
Yeah man. Love the 84. I landed on the CSB because it reminds me of the NIV84 a lot.

Found Mr Feldick last year. He was apparently an Interesting man. Ruth

Is 300.00 used a good price for this Bible?
That's about what it costs new.
Thank you
Can I have it?!😮
I found the Bible, but not in that nice leather.
This is one Bible I wouldn’t give a minute to
