Scott preaches like someone who has just discovered something new and exciting and wishes everybody to see what he sees, feel what he feels, and I think that's one of the things that make him a good teacher. He is always speaking with fresh vigour just as if he found out yesterday what he is teaching us. Sometimes, we tend to tell others the good news in a stale manner that may not be inviting enough for others. He doesn't have that. He is a good teacher. @@Anh-Cali Yes, unfortunately, students after university tend to think it is 'silly' and 'irrational' to be religious. They accept the views of scientists (Dawkins, etc) on religion. My friends are very good at researching the latest medical advances, but when it comes to Catholic doctrine, they do not bother to do enough research to find out the truth behind the church's teachings and then accept/reject them. They do not know about early church history, church fathers, etc. Applying the knowledge I gained reading a commentary on 'Theology of the Body' by Pope John Paul, to my medical practice, has helped me a lot and I hope it has helped my patients. I think my friends are missing out on the blessings, knowledge and peace of God that the church gives to all the faithful. I used to defend the faith on my college group chats, but have stopped doing this. I pray and offer the rosary for them, so that God may 'open their hearts and minds' to His teaching.

I feel as though time is working against me, but I trust in God's timing. He knows what is best, and I hope that in His time, He will make me feel truly wise. For at least six years now, I have asked for wisdom in my daily prayers, but I feel I have made little progress. Despite attending Mass every day and striving to live a good Catholic life, I still experience a profound sense of inadequacy. Rob, please remember me in your prayers, and I will do the same for you. We are all fighting the same battle - to love Christ and think as He does. Listening to Dr. Hahn always inspires me, as his understanding of Scripture is truly remarkable. I hope that God will answer my prayers soon. I would be grateful if everyone could pray for me and others in a similar situation. Perhaps my pride is getting the better of me. I've recently composed a prayer asking God to "prune my pride in Jesus' name." I've also tried the Litany of Humility, but I find myself jumping from one prayer to another in my search for wisdom. Our Lady, please remember us and present my petition to your Son. I know He will not turn you away. Thank you to everyone who reads this. I desperately need your prayers for wisdom and all the gifts of the Holy Spirit. I will pray for you all tonight with a joyful decade of the Rosary. Queen of Wisdom, pray for us.
@@affirmationbyboldaction2210 I read something from the apostle Paul recently that maybe was a slight answer to my prayer. He said no man shall judge me, not even I should judge myself. so I think I need to stop judging myself because we don't see ourselves as God sees us. Let's remember to just conduct ourselves as the Holy Mother did, that is God let your will be done. I think perhaps I read that verse because God wanted to speak to me in response to this comment I made.
Try Prayjng the surrender prayer: Jesus, i surrender myself to you, take care of everything. Jesus, i surrender myself to you, take care of everything. I have had the Thomas Nelson NKJV Study Bible since 2001. and it has been my constant companion all of these years. The footnotes balanced with the Scripture gives me the context I need. I will look forward to your Catholic version in November. I'm Lutheran but have really enjoyed the videos here and am learning so much more about the Catholic way of thinking than I thought possible. Also looking into the Pitre book now, thank you.
It blows my mind as I see this man full of wisdom. What could possibly be GOD who is Wisdom Himself? These people have no idea how beautiful they are revealing some of the reality of GOD...
Around 2 hours, 8 minutes in, the idea of reading the NT each year reminded me of the way some people promote reading one chapter per day of the Gospel according to Luke in December, starting on December 1, and you complete it on Christmas Eve. This year, Lent begins on December 1, so it fits even better. But then I thought about the other Gospels, and I realized that Lent and Easter offer rather ideal times to do the same with the other Gospels. Matthew has 28 chapters and Mark has 16 chapters. If you start reading one chapter per day of Matthew on Ash Wednesday, read it to completion, then do the same with Mark, you will complete the two on Holy Thursday, just in time for Triduum. Then, the Easter season. The Gospel of John has 21 chapters and the Acts of the Apostles has 28 chapters, for a total of 49. Well, the Easter season ends with Pentecost 50 days later. So you can start with John and then Acts, and there's one spare day. So either skip Easter Sunday or Pentecost Sunday,. With this, you will have read the Gospels and Acts in Advent, Lent, and Easter. If you don't feel ready for Bible in a Year or even the NT in a year, consider this plan. It fits so nicely into some major seasons of the liturgical calendar.
Thank you both for this amazing and informative study. Our lives are blessed from the knowledge you both pass along to us. The whole time I kept thinking “Amen”. So many study helps discussed. and in turn Find Christ ALIVE in those who embrace the whole of the teaching of them from Genesis to Revelation !!
Jeff Calvins is ab fab and hilarious.
Also, down with youngsters!

Absolutely! Me too!
Me too!
I’m glad Dr Petre is getting the credit he deserves. I’ve been listening to his lectures for years.
Dr. Scott Hahn is back in the building.
Scott Hahn, John Bergsma, Brant Pitre, Peter Kreeft, and Ralph Martin. In my opinion, they are modern Doctors of the Church. Scott Hahn is number one!
Jeff Cavins? 😊
Trent Horn needs to be on the list.
Joe Heschmeyer @ shameless popery
@@deepusnttf432 I'm with you. I love Joe. He's phenomenal.
Dr. Scott Hahn is the most inspiring Christian theologian I've ever come across in my life. I firmly believe his origin and sources for such amazing insightful knowledge is none but from the Holy Spirit.
God bless Dr. Scott Hahn! I could listen to him speak of scripture all day long and learn so much from him.
I know, too bad also there's only 24 hours in a day 😊
The road to Emmaus is my favorite passage of the Bible and always brings me to tears.
I hadn't heard the Holy Mary in awhile. It was inspiring. O glorious Virgin Mary never was it known that anyone who sought your help or fled to your protection was left unaided inspired with this confidence we come to thee O Virgin of virgins our Mother. To you we come before you we kneel sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word incarnate despise not our petitions but in your mercy heart and answer them Amen
"It's not that we read too much, it's that we ponder a little." ❤
Lord, thank you for the light you gave to your church with Doctor Hahn. Glory to Jesus Christ now and forever!
Dr Hahn is AHMAZING! ✨👏🏼✨
He’s like Mr Catechism.. he should be a 21st century Dr of the Church 😎
ABSOLUTELY!!!!
Each time I listen to him, am inspired to know more about my faith. Praying for you Scott, that God may continue using you to enkindle more hearts🎉❤
These are the best interviews when you unleash Scott Hahn into teaching mode!!! He could be on weekly!!
We need Peterson and Hahn on at the same time. We might be seizing from my mindblowingness, but worth it.
Scott Hahn understood the assignment.
I think he went beyond it. Saw him lecture once at a conference and I left there almost unable to walk. My world and view had been flipped around
I love Scott have all his books and belong to Ignatius Press Lighthouse Institute. Has wonderful instruction I bought so many audio talks, and they give so much free teachings so you can learn without reading or ypu cam read if you want
@@paul_321love his lectures
He talks too much in my opinion. Be polite and Have a conversation with Matt
What a piece of a talk! A MA ZING!! As a non US cit, I can relate that these catholic titans are doing an awesome job in evangelizing! Praise be to GOD
Listening to Dr. Hahn and Matt, is a privilege. And so jealous that we in Sri Lanka can't afford to access those books by all these great authors. I'm a absolute beginner in even Listening to these TH-cam videos. God Bless all of you for your work.
“Aren’t you being narrow minded?
I hope so, it’s a narrow path” 🔥
Dr. Hahn’s surprise at both the completion of the St. Paul Center and the Ignatius Catholic Bible reminds me of Sarah’s laughter at the thought of having a child at her advanced age. Nothing is impossible with God.
I hope to one day have this much love for Sacred Writ as Scott Hahn. He is a captivating speaker, because you just know how much he loves the word of God!

This truly was mind-blowing. Incredible, just incredible. There is no way that anyone can finish this episode without a fully renewed fire for Scripture.
Why is Scott Hahn so easy to listen to? Awesomeness!
Because the Holy Spirit works through him in a marvellous way!
This is the only longer than an hour ditty I have ever watched/listened to the whole thing! This was incredible and I thoroughly drank this cup and ate this bread!! Thank You Both for bringing something so incredible to a humble electrician. I feel like a dredging machine scooped its way through my soul leaving me a hill to climb through something marvelous. So much gratitude to Dr Hahn for his investment into our Christian world!
I am a protestant and I use the Catena Áurea for studying the Bible with my friends and love it! My eyes have been open wide after starting it a year ago. And we still in Matews! ❤

dr hahn definitly was instrumental inbringing me home to the Catholic Church! thank you dr hahn for speaking out and helping me! may Gid bless you!
Thank you Dr Hahn and Matt. Always wonderful to listen to both of you. I had a friend back in Medical school, with whom I used to have great discussions on Theology and I always enjoyed those discussions. Listening to your talks takes me back to those beautiful times. Thank you.
I studied in a Catholic Medical College in India; Unfortunately, most of the alumni from my college who were catholic, have lapsed and some openly criticize Catholicism. I wish they listen to your talks. Please pray for them, that they may come back Home.
Thank you for sharing. Here I was so mad at myself thinking only university in America have turned kids agnostic.
Thank you for your wisdom Dr. Hahn. Your intelligence in explaining the scripture is phenomenal. Truly inspiring listening you talk and discussed our beliefs and faith in Catholicism from the old to the New Testament. Dominus Vobiscum+
Thank you God for Dr Scott Hahn and Matt Frad
Dr.Scott Hahn so good to see your well. Thanks for all your works for the Faith 🙏 may God bless you
I’m so enthused after listening to the both of you. What a treasure. God bless you.
I'm Eternal Grateful for Steve Wood taking time to speak with me back in the early 90's , on my way back to Holy Mother Church.
I don't hear enough of his wonderful testimony. Viva Cristo Rey
I wish I could describe the sense of peace that comes over me when I listen to Scott
The parallels between the Old Testament and the New Testament makes you think, HOW COULD YOU NOT BELIEVE IN GOD? He weaves both good and bad of humanity under the aegis of love. How great is he. ❤
I recently finished a four year "Catholic Biblical School" at my home parish (Sacred Heart of Jesus, Winchester, VA) Led by Dr Nick Lebish who brought it from his Denver parish home. It was based on the Ignatius Study Bible. It was enlightening and eye opening. I am now listening to Fr. Mike's Bible in a year then , God willing, plan to do a Catechism starting in Sept of 2025. This has been a great positive in my life. Thank you for working on it.
I always learn something from this wonderful man that has been a treasure to the church. Thank you Dr. Scott Hahn.
anything Dr. Hahn does is mind-blowing

How beautiful it is the way God is working through Dr. Hahn. I’m just so grateful for him. Thank you both
This is amazing news! The Ignatious Study Bible was vital in my conversion to Catholicism and I read it every night. The Protestants have an amazing KJV study bible and the Ignatious Study Bible is the closest to it.
Thank you Matt and Dr. Han...my husband got to know about Franciscan University from watching you. This august I left my middle son there, at Franciscan. He is very happy and I loved the place. To bad we do not live in USA to be able to visit the St. Paul center more often. God bless you.
Thank you, Matt. Hope you and your family have a light-filled peaceful joyful blessed September!

Looove listening to Dr Brant Pitre explaining Scripture! Super teacher of the Scripture 👌👌☺️
Praise God for your dedication Dr Hahn to spread the good news thru your scholarly work in making Bible Study to another level, with all these new Bibles, containing new Holy-Spirit inspired commentaries & analysis. This is refreshing for the Catholic Faith which breathes the Old & New Covenant for our sake. Truly appreciate all the concerted efforts. God bless.
This man is too intelligent for my brain. I'm here living like a fool, while every word out of his mouth is measured and full of knowledge and wisdom. Makes me kind of sad of my state 😢. My wife and my kids disrespect me, and I pray to heaven for the Holy Spirit, for the fruits. So I could lead them properly. Yet I fall back into foolishness again and again. God please fill me with wisdom and knowledge, for good. I have prayed too many times with no effect!
See the GabiAfterHours TH-cam channel, with Catholic lay evangelist Gabriel Castillo. He was interviewed on Pints with Aquinas as well, which was great!
All of Gabe's videos give FANTASTIC, life-changing, practical tips on how to get things working for the better for Catholics & for others who need to convert.
Especially see the videos on the Rosary, and don't miss the ones on mental prayer. All his videos are just unbelievably helpful!

@@RobertRMusic Almighty Father, please strengthen Rob and give him perseverance. Make Your Holy Spirit to work through-or in spite of-Rob, that his family may repent of their foul and anti-Christian behavior, and be led by him according to Your Word. Make his family to grow and thrive together in love and in worship of You. We implore the intercession, on his behalf, of Blessed Mother Mary and of Archangel St Michael, through Jesus Christ, Your Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with thee in the unity of the Holy Ghost; AMEN.
Dear Rob,
My family's respect for me is far beyond what I deserve, and I pray that God will one day grant me the wisdom to be worthy of it.
Try Prayjng the surrender prayer:
Jesus, i surrender myself to you, take care of everything.
Jesus, i surrender myself to you, take care of everything.
Jesus, i surrender myself to you, take care of everything.
--Praying for you. We all fall short.
In 2 Corinthians 12, Paul quotes Jesus who said, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”

God bless you, Mr. Hahn. And God bless you also, Matt!
Just listening to Dr. Hahn makes me realize how little I really know about the Bible and the Catholic Church. I love his catechesis on the Eucharistic wellspring of the road to Emma′us and the discussion on why the Sunday readings include more of the Old Testament was amazing.
Just finished listening to Dr. Hahn’s previous visit, and lo and behold look at what I find just posted. Praise the Lord
I just want to say Matt, thank you, truly from my heart for being one the main reasons I’m still in the one true church… listening to the guests you bring on lights my heart to our Lord Jesus.. I hope you continue the work because it is so important to many others too I’m sure.
I am so engaged in this podcast. Thank you to you both and the team working behind the scene.
God Bless Dr. Hahn.

God bless you, Dr. Hahn! You are a blessing to the Church. God be praised!
In depth Biblical discussion. I love this.
Dr. Hahn is amazing…
It blows my mind as I see this man full of wisdom. What could possibly be GOD who is Wisdom Himself? These people have no idea how beautiful they are revealing some of the reality of GOD...
Very good Bible study Dr. Scott Hahn.
